While there was a "kids" section there were no graphic novels that I could see, so that made this less than fun for me, but I'm sure the typical reader will still love this place. We came in about half an hour before closing, and the one employee seemed a bit grumpy. Ah well. Parking is in a huge lot, so no issues there.

The greatest part was how well it was organized by characters that go together from comics and movies. This store in general is very organized and clean. In the T-shirt area I found some very unique Coraline and King of the Hill gear. They also appear to have games, movies, novelty swords, and even guitars. What a variety! But wait...there's more! I wondered into their reading area and stumbled upon not one, not two but three rows of mystery to explore. After spending a good twenty minutes in that section. I found a zone with color by sticker books that I had never seen before. I've always been a sucker for stickers and this was a new way to get my sticker on. The employees were very friendly and talked about the changing from Hastings to what they are today and all the moves they've made and obstacles they've overcome. I will definitely be back for gifts and goodies for myself. I highly recommend stopping by and joining in on the fun.

The shop keeper was funny I thought she heard me say bathroom not bat room. I checked it out and it has a smell similar to the Old Tunnel on the way to Fredericksburg for a moment I felt that I am out in nature. The entrance is full of birds I stood there for over 5 minutes. When I was looking at the hair & bath products to the left of the register, I over heard what I assume is the owner, and a customer, talking about shooting at squirrels with a BB gun when they would go for the bird feeder. I was flabbergasted. And horrified. I wanted to write a review & even send a letter to express my dismay but I didn't want to disparage a small business. So I decided to just not support any more. Time went by & as I grew with forgiveness, I ended up coming back to not only buy the usual premium blend bird seed, but have brought out-of-towner friends & family in which they purchased things from there, as well as greeting cards for others on special occasions. Fast forward to today, I went in to get the usual, but I was greeted by an unfamiliar face, as I had always dealt with what I am assuming is the owner. She was as sweet as a button. I really regret not getting her name. When she offered help, I told her I wanted the premium w the $7 price point, she grabbed it & I was ready to pay. She then asked "are you in our books?" I was puzzled at first, assuming maybe it's regular customers that buy large quantities for big properties. Nope. It was like a reward system where if you buy 10 bags you get 1 free. Are you kidding me?! She was even kind enough to record my last sale to count twds the free bag. I was not once ever unpleasant twds the owner. If anything, we had friendly small talk upon check out in the handful of times I've purchased from them. So not too sure why this was never offered to me. I always give the benefit of the doubt so it's rather difficult for me to think it just slipped her mind every time when you seem to run the show.

I like a well put together store with real treasures. Junk in the Trunk had all the secondhand treasures you would want. Who would discard these items? I wanted everything. Mostly for my daughter but she isn't a girly girl and I had to send her pictures with a note "do you want this?" Miraculously, I got one response as a yes! Made some purchases for one of my sons without asking him. Ingram Loop has some treasures y'all. I loved every single shop I walked into. Most of them full of vintage, antiques, used items. Talk to the owners, or staff they are all very friendly and don't forget negotiate. I usually just pay what's on the tag but I had backup and I feel like a winner!

These items tend to be in the higher value range, like jewelry, silver sets, and other higher-end items. I didn't find what I was looking for but the employees were nice and it was fun to see what was there.
