Nice coffee spot with good coffee and service. I had a quite big Cappuccino which I liked (for GBP 3.20 to drink in). It is not cheap but that's expected in Mayfair.

Following a mention in Vespertine's Independent Cafe Guide and strong reviews on Yelp, I made a trip to this very pleasant coffee place hidden away behind Marble Arch tube station. Good to find this place as this isn't at the hub of indie coffee territory in the West End. The coffee is high standard. The barista who made my Flat White served a cup of smoothness and joy from top to bottom. Thumbs up! There is also a good selection of cakes and sandwiches (made downstairs I noticed) which I didn't get to try when writing this review. Friendly service - no snobbishness or attitude! (hurrah!). There is limited seating on two levels so this place is likely to get quite busy and is probably At the time of writing, I sat on the large wooden table downstairs (to do work and write a review) and it was mid-morning so it wasn't too busy. Other good points: - Good fast and free wifi (certainly not a given in quite a few of London's indie establishment). - Power points downstairs - Loyalty card Only criticism - it was cold inside! (Snowy Winter's day and all that). Such a shame that my coffee didn't sustain my warmth without having to put my jacket back on. That aside, enjoyed thoroughly recommended!!!!

great coffee with optional Halloween coffee art

Great place. Can't agree with the previous reviewer. Maybe I have been lucky that it has always been reasonably quiet when I have been coming here, but very pleasant, attentive and efficient staff. Union coffee is great, not too hot, nice Halloween coffee art today, food was great when I ordered some a while ago, and toilets were spotless.

Great corner coffee shop where they roast their own beans and bake their own cookies. Plenty of choice of cakes and savoury croissants (both of which along with the coffee is fairly expensive). We shared a cake which was good (v moist but nothing amazing considering the £4 price tag). My mocha however was delicious - good coffee flavour with a just a hint of dark chocolate and served in a cute thick red cup and saucer which a beautiful foam flower on top. My bf also enjoyed his flat white and had another cute design on his as well. It's on a corner of a quieter street with a few cute shops on but just a stones throw from Marble Arch. Well worth a slight detour to get away from manic Oxford Street. There is inside space (if it looks busy from the outside they have a downstairs) along with a few seats outside. These guys really know what they're up to and are friendly to boot!

Great coffee & a cute little coffee shop but probably best not to sit inside... Had two good coffees & a tart that when asked none of the staff knew what was in it. We had been sat down not more than two minutes when we could hear the staff talking loudly behind the counter looking at their mobile phones saying "sh*t" and "f**king hell" then later the girl at the counter said "you're f**king kidding me!" out loud. Found it very distasteful when we had come here to relax over a nice coffee.

Ok hands down the best coffee in London. I don't think it was by coincidence either as it's my second time here and coffee still tastes great.

A great place in London for a Latte. The Barista poured a great cup. I never use sugar in my coffee and this Latte was smooth with no after taste. This neighborhood coffee spot is several blocks from the Marble Arch Underground station. The staff was very friendly.

Love, love this place! The lattes are very smooth with no after taste, and outdoor seating is just sublime. At the end of sweet little block of charming restaurants and shops. Nice big pain au chocolate tried on one occasion, and a delicious cinnamon apple muffin the other. Both were absolute perfection!

Delicious flat white a yummy chocolate chip cookie

I had to come here after reading all the reviews about the excellent coffee, because after all... I am on a quest for the most magnificent cup of coffee. The Borough Barista comes VERY close. I've gotten a flat white and a latte and both made me moan little bit upon first sip. (yep.) There is nothing like a pristinely made flat white with fresh roasted coffee beans. You can TASTE the freshness, I'm serious. I must return for Round 3, and I really think you need to try this cute little coffee shop. Also, the chocolate chip cookie I had put me in mid-day dessert heaven. Boom.

My only regret…read moreis I wish I had more people with me or I wish I was hungrier cuz I really wanted to order ALLLL the pastries! My husband and I decided to try for a table and we ended up waiting about 45 min - 1 hour to sit. There was a super short line for to-go pastries (and sometimes there was no line), so if you're pressed for time, definitely do that! I love how the Arome workers help move the line along and help people in line find tables. Also speaking of Arome, the AROMA was fantastic! It smelled to buttery and fantastic both inside and while waiting in line. I ended up trying: the iconic Honey Butter Toast, Black Sesame Mochi Cookie, and Almond and Chocolate Croissant, a Savory Croissant (I think Sausage and Cheese), a Chai, and a Matcha. Everything was SO GOOD. All the pastries were amazing. I'm glad we got a mix of sweet and savory things. Everything we had was buttery, flaky, intentional, and made with love. What you'll like the most will depend on your personal flavor preferences! Definitely give this place a try!

Arome produced pastries both beautiful and divine!…read more On the recommendation of friends, we made a stop by here for a Monday breakfast. According to their website, they deliver "European excellence with Asian flair" which is really a great way to describe their pastries and the experience! Definitely the quality that you would expect with some of those Asian flavors. Here is what we tried: Chocolate Pistachio Escargot (5/5): Shaped in a snail shell, in between the flaky layers of pastry were luscious chocolate sprinkled with pistachio for nutty texture. Really enjoyed this one! Honey Butter Toast (4/5): Touted as their signature, I had high expectations for this. It is exactly as described which that slightly sweetness from the honey in a perfectly toasted milk bread. I did enjoy this a lot but also felt like it would benefit by having something else for texture or contrast. Chicken Butter Croissant (4/5): The croissant had the nice flaky layer with chewy interior. I loved the savory chicken sausage with the slightly sweet soy glaze that provided nice contrast and that Asian twist. When we got there a little after opening, there was no line but all the seats were taken as the place is quite limited on seats. While we were asked to wait for a little a bit outside, we did not have to wait too long. However, the line did end up getting longer as we were leaving and some ended up eating outside. Overall, if you are interested in tasting some tasty pastries, I would recommend Arome!

As we were walking around Borough Market we saw the line for Bread Ahead and realized it was for the donut stand they had outside along the street. We had to jump on line and drool over the display of sugary goodness. We each tried a different donut and was not disappointed! So many varieties to choose from - coconut, lemon curd, blackcurrant cheesecake, seasalt caramel and honeycomb, and others. They don't skimp on the fillings as each bite was flavorful. Yum!

I'd reccomend checking out the bakery as this is where the fresh goodies are made and you're more likely to get the fresh batch here. Price wise, it's a bit steep. At 5£ per donut and 6.50£ for a piece of focaccia. But you're in a tourist area so high prices should be expected. We opted for the cheese focaccia that came right out from the oven. For 6£, it's not bad. It's pretty sizable and a good shareable snack! It's a good crusty bread and had a subtle garlic flavor with a blend of stringy cheese. If you like cheesy garlic bread, this is for you! Out of all the snacks you could get in the borough market, this is a solid option! But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
