This visit was booked as a birthday gift, and I was expecting to get both my beard and hair done. Instead of being understanding, the barber was extremely rude, refused to provide the service, and still made me pay. Even though I explained the situation and agreed that I was late, he didn't offer any flexibility or courtesy--not even to just do my hair. He simply denied all services. This was a very unpleasant experience. I have never been treated so rudely by a service professional. Yes, I was late, but the way the situation was handled was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Terrible experience. I hope this doesn't happen to you.

The second, I gave the same directions but didn't really oversee the process, and the result wasn't what I'd hoped for. My fault, admittedly, but when I feel like I can delegate, sometimes I check out, and I wound up with a bit of a misadventure as a result, trying to fix my beard within a few weeks (and ultimately making the mistake of trimming the entire thing down and rediscovering my weak/double chin). The price is good - $25 for a cut - and like I said, the first time, which was closely supervised, I was pleased. The vibe is decidedly MAGA. An American flag by the door, wall decor, workers and clientele. I'm not overly uncomfortable with that, but it bears saying for those who might be put off.
