Tearing this place down will be a great improvement to say the least. We booked for 3 nights but left after the 2nd night as we were afraid of picking up a disease. The place was filthy. The coffee maker didn't work (not that I would have used it anyway), the pots & pans were filthy as well. We didn't shower the entire time there. The water pressure was non existent. The game room was locked up leaving a set of horse shoes outside for the only entertainment. Overall, the place sucked big time and was not worth 1/4 of the price. The owners had clearly given up on the place and should feel guilty taking anyone's money. Too bad, we stayed here 5-6 years ago with different owners it was great.

The house is very old so the stairs Creek and the radiators rattle in reminiscence of my grandma's house, which was so endearing. the hot water works amazing and the beds every one of them was comfortable clean, and the rooms were dark and air-conditioned. The downtown grill double booked our rehearsal dinner and gave the space to another party, (that's a separate yelp uggh ) our dinner plans were squashed, "the cottages" stepped in and helped us accommodate a group of 20 to 30 people catering from Morrisseys Front Porch and using the outdoor areas on a beautiful summer night the evening was a smashing success. I will say that one of the best parts of my son's wedding was being able to stay at the cottages where we all gathered and had an amazing time we were due to leave on Monday, but extended our stay till Wednesday. the proximity of this property to stores and restaurants made everything so easy . Clean restrooms and showers are a must. Terrace Pines offers all of these. Pro tip: When making a reservation for a particular site, splurge for the 'site guarantee' (I forget exactly what it's called). Otherwise, your reservation might be moved to a different site. This worked in our favor once, but we would have been pretty unhappy if we were on the other end of the move.

Went to Terrace Pines campground for the first time this Memorial Day weekend 2023…read more It was just ok. Its more like a trailer park than a campground. Most sites are permanent camper trailers. Very few people were just there for the weekend. The campground was recently taken over by new owners. The previous owner let the permanent campers do their own things with their campsites. Many sites are run down and unkept. Several were quite trashy and needed to be evicted. There were many delapidated docks along the lake that need to be removed. Old abandoned canoes and kayaks along the trail to the lake. Fishing is very poor. We were told that the 2 lakes were stocked with fish, however the state hadn't done it yet this year. No fish jumping on either lake. Its my hope that the new ownership goes through and makes huge improvements. I'm not sure if we'll return. We will have to wait and see.

I wish I could bring home to Pa the smell of the pines & the sheer relaxation.
