We only stayed here because they refused to let my friend cancel her reservation with several…read moremonths' notice, but allowed her to transfer it to me. The site we stayed on (113) is the only transient site with a view that isn't on a busy road. It's super rocky and the water spigot flows into the only area flat enough to pitch a tent, but the view and proximity to attractions made it worth it. (FYI the "beach" is minuscule and always crowded.) The price was reasonable, and the people were friendly, so we rebooked for next year. After paying our deposit and securing the same site for next year we ordered a custom base for our tent to elevate it off the rocks and protect it from the water flow. Three days after it shipped, Paugus Bay Campground called to cancel our reservation with some story about dates shifting because of Bike Week, but when we agreed to take whatever dates were available they admitted they were giving our reservation to people who've been staying there longer and that we wouldn't be getting that site again. I understand taking care of your regulars, but they took the reservation and our deposit. Now we're out $800 for equipment we ordered specifically for this site, and when I tried to explain that Sue (?) nastily told me "That's not our problem." It disgusting that there were no cancellations allowed for my friend, but that my reservation is meaningless and I was essentially told to go f**k myself. I'm sure it's lovely to stay here if you've been doing so for decades, but there is no hospitality here for newcomers.

It's in Belmont about an hour from Ossipee Lake and about a half an hour from Lake Winnipesaukee. It's a cute set up with a few tenting sites as well as a majority of RV and cabin sites. Definitely a seasonal place we're regulars spend their time. Quiet hours are after 10pm and fire had to be out before midnight. There are privacy fences around the few tent sites. When we forgot our paddles for one of our kayaks they let us use one for free. They had paddle boards and kayak rentals as well. The beach area was as nice as it could be but it did have a lot of floaties and a good amount of guck on the bottom. It wasn't a deep lake and it was filled with river weed and plant like to the surface just after the beach. Definitely don't want to fall in out of the beach area ! The owners hand delivered ice and fire wood whenever we called the front office, among other things. They wouldn't take our tips either. They even had a small store. All in all the place is cute, the owners are nice and when we were in last minute jam they were very accommodating !!

This year was the first year that mangy was horrible as the camp ground was sold to modern America and it use to be a family owned camp ground . No one was ever there to meet us to check us in or there when we had to return the gate key . The first visit my uncle who is handicap the bathroom shower seat broke when he was on it , one of the mgt was there and did nothing but put a sign on the bathroom "use caution shower seat broke " 5 weeks later they kinda fixed it. We started a fire and half the ground from the site went up as the site was full of pine needles and leaves that were never cleaned up. We were asked to move our car from the overflow parking lot when the same lady told us to put it there. The last night of our stay in Oct of 2023 there was domestic with a gun at the entrance and not one person of mgt was there but my husband was with the police. I am so upset with modern America They every went as far as not renewing another family memebers seasonal because she asked very nicely when they thought the shower seat would be fixed (after 4 weeks) she politely stated there are lots of elderly and disabled in the park an she was just wondering .

We rented a Lake Bluff Cabin, it has a screened in porch and a stove top to cook on. If you rent a cabin, you'll have most of items you need like pots pans, plates, utensils but you need to pack pillows and linens. My sister rented the white pines cabin and had a full stove to cook with (nice) but no screened in porch. Highly recommend renting the golf cart, it's pricey but if you can afford to splurge a little the kids will love it and it was one of the highlights of our trip or you could also bring your bikes. The pool is great, not too deep about 3.6in and there were 2 warming tubs! Note the Picnic food trailer doesn't open until 1pm, which is kind of late. The food was decent and priced reasonably. Even the ice cream was delicious but they were down to only 3 flavors by day 2 of our visit. Make sure you sign up in advance for activities as they fill up fast. Mini golf was complimentary and some of the activities had a small fee ( very reasonable ) On certain nights you can preorder a seafood dinner and pick it up at the ranger station, we got the lobster and bbq chicken and the kids chicken tenders. It was delicious and perfect when you don't feel like cooking. There is not much for food around the area unless you feel like going on a 20-30 ride so pack accordingly. Tips: Bring bug spray and bug itch cream, you will need it! Pack 2 towels for each person if you can. One for pool and one for cabin. Bring some lighting for nighttime if you plan to be outside. On our visit Wi-Fi was only available at recreation center be prepared to let the kids use your hot spot. Download their app! It's helpful! We can't wait to visit again!

They have arranged with Mount Washington boat…read moreline to have one of their boats travel twice a day each Thursday from Wolfboro directly to a dock at Ames Farm and back. if you travel from Wolfboro you can have brunch or lunch at the great restaurant they have at Ames Farm and visit for a while at their beach or at their dock. If you go from Ames Farm to Wolfboro you can spend the same amount of time which is 1 1/2-3 hours exploring Wolfboro before returning to Ames Farm. We took the first trip and found it amazing. All the people on the boat were great and there was an assortment of beverages on board. and anyone who has ever stayed at Ames knows how amazing their restaurant is. Just shows how much Ames Farm cares about their visitors.

The prices are reasonable and service pretty quick! The food overall is pretty good. The only critique I have is my home fries were a little bit burnt! Other than that enjoyed my meal both times. I would recommend making reservations if you have more than two people in your party! I would say this is my favorite breakfast place at the moment!

She thought of every amenity possible to make this a luxurious experience. The house was beautifully decorated with many fine antiques...it was very cozy and extremely comfortable. We had a large suite in the 3 rd floor ( of course no elevator, but what would be the charm in that?). We had a peek a boo view of the lake across the street. The large soaking tub was a welcome relief for this weary traveler and she even provided bath salts and bubble bath. I felt like I was in heaven! I would definitely make this a get away if we didn't live 3000 miles away. Small caution on our room. My husband is 6'3" and he conked his head in the declining ceiling more than once (I think it is the first time I heard him cuss in 46 years....but he is over it and wants to book the same room next time....consider yourself very lucky if you are able to land a reservation

Quite Charming inside and out…read more *Historic Building with rich Town history. *Featured on TAPS and Haunted History. We had no experience outside the ordinary. *It is an old building that has been rebuilt at 3 different times in history and to varying extent. *Stayed over 6/17-18/25 Room was a Queen room. Floors sloped, but expected given the age. The building is on one thermostat. We're from Florida and the room was uncomfortably warm. Window facing brick building next door so opening the window didn't allow for a breeze. There were 2 glasses on dresser but there was no ability to get water or ice. There is also no coffee in the Hotel. You would need to wait for restaurant to open at 11:00am. This made the stay uncomfortable and is the reason I can't give more 's. *Area for improvement would be to have limited refreshment access to Hotel guests and refresh the air quality as it was musty. *Onions restaurant has a nicely executed Menu. Which was 4/5's! Clams sweet and cooked perfectly but not all of the shells were open upon serving (which is a no-no). Haddock Salad had beautiful color and fresh julienned vegetables on hand and fish was crispy and not overcooked. *Tavern opposite of the Restaurant and has local Brew on Tap. 7 Taps and each really good! Beer lines tasted clean and temp was good. Beer tasted crisp and delicious. 5/5's. Parking very limited. Satellite lot approximately 2 blocks down on same side of street.

It took over 30 minutes just to get my room key. Unfortunately, check-out was no better--another 30 minutes wasted on what should've been a simple process. To make matters worse, I was asked to write down my credit card number on a piece of paper because their system was down. Absolutely not. That is a huge security concern and incredibly inappropriate!! For the price I paid for a two-night stay, this experience was unacceptable. Hospitality 101: treat your guests with professionalism and respect. Sadly, this inn failed miserably on that front. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and I will not be returning. Their burger meat is sourced from local farms and have amazing flavors, their other plates are equally as delicious, well executed and most importantly fresh. I had the pleasure of having Christmas dinner at their dinning room. It was well thought out, very delicious and service was amazing. Their holiday cocktails paired well with their dishes. It was simply an amazing experience overall. As for their hotel, I recommended this location to family members that were visiting and they stayed for 4 days. They were very pleased with their room, the views, the porch access and the amenities. Being near center of town, they were able to travel to Meredith and or Plymouth very easily.
