Looks are deceiving from the outside but don't let it fool you. This place was 10/10!!! Amazing, delicious food!!!! The size portion didn't disappoint and the flavors were incredible! The person who helped us was so sweet too and the cook even noticed we were new and was attentive to tell the cashier that we needed guidance. Gots immediately greeted by the kindest owner/proprietor; she recommended multiple dishes fo takeout; went with their Original (poke) Bowl w Shrimp Tempura, spectacular. I will say the woman working the counter was not super friendly and we were a little off put by her. The food was ok, portion sizes were extremely large which was appreciated given the pricing. Visited The Bowl because of the good reviews we saw and they were not wrong. We had the hibachi rice shrimp and beef, hibachi chicken and shrimp, and the bibimbap bowl w/ bulgogi IN a HOT STONE. Hibachi was amazing and a lot of food. We eat a lot and brought it home for leftovers. The bibimbap in the hot stone was a favorite. It stayed hot in the bowl for the whole meal. Giving this place 4 stars because of the staff's friendliness and the place was kept clean and I love the kimonos hung on the wall. I haven't been here in a very long time and wasn't starving either, so I shared the hot stone bulgogi with brown rice with my sister. Her boyfriend got the ramen and spring rolls. The bulgogi had a nice flavor but wasn't expecting the serving to be very soupy. I didn't try the ramen personally but heard it was spicy (he ordered spicy level 7 out of 10). The spring rolls were nice and crispy and your typical spring rolls. This place definitely caters to the American palette. We ordered Bibimbap, Dongatsu, and corn croquettes. The veggies in Bibjmbap were raw. They were supposed to be slightly cooked or seasoned, but just raw. Dongatsu was ok, but very small for the price. Corn croquettes weren't cooked well inside. The worker was sweet, but the owner wasn't. She didn't greet or acknowledge us. And the place was so dark and looked dirty. We regretted dining in there. We should've left when there was one car parked at 6pm on Saturday. Please go somewhere nice and save money. read more

The key dishes to order are to The Special Bulgogi Bowl that has a generous amount of Korean marinated sliced ribeye beef served in a delicious broth, The Stone Bibimbop Bowl with a side of Kalbi . The chef says they make the broth from brining shiitake mushrooms. Everything is MSG-free. Yummy! The traditional Hot Stone Bowl is also spot on, sizzling as it makes its way to your table and also stayed hot (not warm) throughout the meal. The side of kalbi is generous, and the price is a value. My son ordered the Japanese ramen which was so colorful, and the side of tonkatsu Panko fried pork was also a generous serving and delicious. It was basically a stew of bulgogi meat and veggies with a side of rice separate from the meat. That being said, I did find the food to be pretty tasty. Stopped in here for a late dinner on Thursday. It was quite tasty! When we walked in, the lady manning the register immediately noticed we were a little uncertain about the ordering protocol. She explained to us, very quickly and kindly, how the system worked -- start with a base bowl (ranging from ramen to bibimbap to poke), add your choice of protein, and enjoy! There were a few items on special, too, including bulgogi and chicken wings. My boyfriend ordered the bulgogi, spicy level 6 (from 1-10). I asked about the spicy chicken, and was told it was about a 2 on the spicy scale. I'm comfy up to a 4-5 (impressive, I know...lol), so that was fine for me; I went with the dolsot bibimbap with spicy chicken. We found the spicy levels to be dead-on correct, so that made us happy. The bulgogi beef was super tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed the crispy rice at the bottom of the hot stone bowl. There were a TON of fresh veggies, too, which were all delicious. I'd never had corn in my bibimbap before, but I liked it in this one. The spicy chicken tasted like smoked chicken, and it was so fall apart tender that it cut more easily than the egg on top! The service came by to check in and make sure we knew how to best enjoy our food (like stirring in the spicy red paste -- probably gochujang, though this one was a bit more savory than other gochujang I've had). My only complaint is the atmosphere. It was, unfortunately, super dark. The dining area was really large, and there were pretty much only two small Iamps turned on; no overhead lighting at all. It was really dim and hard to see and I'm not super clear on why that was the case. Still, the food was very tasty and the service lovely and so pleasant; I'd definitely return! read more
