The restaurant is beautiful with ample parking. I went in the afternoon, and there were only a few people there. It's a lovely two-level space. I had the shrimp fried rice with jumbo shrimp, and my friend had the lamb which came with a side of rice which she really enjoyed. The customer service was great.

We live in Chattanooga but stop here probably once a month while driving through to scratch our Szechuan itch. When work took me to Atlanta while my wife was pregnant I would bring take out home in a cooler about once a week. The hot crispy beef is our absolute favorite

If you ever want to read an interesting story, go and look up "Peter Chang". He was a chef renowned for traveling around and starting Sichuan restaurants in the US who spent some time in Atlanta. I've been to the original Tasty China in Marietta many years ago where I was first introduced to Sichuan food. I have been to several other similar restaurants over the years. This Tasty China is the closest to what I remember. I'll say right up front, you have to know what to order. Hint. Hint. This is a "Chinese" restaurant. Avoid the "American" style. You have been warned. Bamboo fish, dry fried eggplant, Shan city beef or chicken is a good start. All very similar in style except for the main meat or vegetable. Hot and Numbing Beef is definitely an interesting treat if you have not tried Sichuan food before. My go to is usually the lunch specials. You get a large portion of food with white or fried rice and a soup. Double cooked pork (belly), beef with wild pepper, chicken/beef with scallion and chili, or Changsha beef are in my normal rotation. My favorite however is Hunan chicken. The chicken is sliced thin and is fresh. Chili oil and hot peppers with leeks and a black bean sauce. Try that and you will be back for more!

Finding a spot late night is never easy especially when I am done with my deliveries and wanting something hot and tasty. Drove past Tasty China a few weeks back not even knowing it was there, but late last week around 10pm I was in search of dinner and popped in. Prob. more busy on the weekends, but looks to have a full bar and upstairs patio. I ate inside downstairs. They gave me a menu along with some individual photos of dishes. Apparently I ordered a spicy cumin grilled lamb entree. It had a nice flavor and I'd say a 3 out of 5 for hotness. I also ordered fried rice, Won Ton soup and the BangBang Shrimp. The food came out fast and I had more than enough to bring home and eat for a couple more meals. I would def. go back and try a new dish!! Thanks for offering a late night dinning option near Smyrna that isn't fast food.

Came here for lunch for the first time, and i could tell there are many professionals who work in the area who frequent this restaurant. The atmosphere was open and bright and clean. They had a good lunch menu offering Chinese and Szechuan staples. I ordered the chicken with onions with hot and sour soup. I also got the cabbage pickles and a side of hot sauce. The chicken dish was the best of all these items. The soup tasted watered down, the hot sauce had a weird/old flavor, and the cabbage just tasted like it was raw cabbage tossed in the hot sauce. I would give it another try and order different things. The waitress was attentive

Went to their new location tonight for the first time. The restaurant's atmosphere is quite upscale trendy, clean, and comfortable along with friendly staff. Our waitress did a wonderful job with prompt and courteous service though much less attentive after serving our food. It took a while before receiving our check. The food was very good with decent portion size though not what I would call generous portions but certainly not stingy. Spice level was on point, hot but not overbearing so quite enjoyable. Offstreet parking lot was to have as well. Definitely worth returning to try other menu favorites as well.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area by far.

Delicious, authentic Chinese food!!! Best in the area by far. Relaxing, clean, stylish atmosphere too. And we appreciate the servers, like Michelle and Sylvia. My mom and I have been coming here for years and bringing friends too. Today my mom told Sylvia that she loves ginger and cilantro and our dish arrived with generous portions of both fresh seasonings. Sylvia is so smart and sweet and so is Michelle.

This restaurant has a nice decor with unfortunate sticky tables. But once I looked past that, the food and staff were great. There weren't many people inside when I stopped by after work. I ordered the bang bang shrimp, crispy beef and General Tso's chicken. I would recommend everything but the General Tso's. The sauce was nice for the chicken but the batter and very large chunks were unappetizing. Our meal came to $43, pretty average without drinks. If your a larger party they have lots of space to accommodate you and easy parking. I'll definitely be back again.

Today I was unsatisfied with my dish the food taste is like old meat for the first time here I'm not happy. The service was good like always I love the waiter who served me she so kind to me I love her. And the ambiance was good too.

Always my favorite place to come for Bamboo Fish! Which is really a dry fried fish coated with crispy outer coating and they cook it to whatever spicy strength you want. I usually go for the mild which still includes a lot of hot peppers! As long as I've been coming here for the last Five years, I've always ordered bamboo fish! It will continue to order bamboo shrimp, lol!

    Hunan chicken

I ordered Bamboo shoots with pork, spicy crispy beef, and a wonton soup. They didn't have bamboo shoots. The spicy crispy pork was very chewy and NOT crispy at all. I then substituted hunan chicken for the bamboo shoots with pork. Menu clearly stated that there were snow peas but none was given. When I asked about it, server said that they were probably out of it too. Well, I wasn't informed about it when I ordered and I didn't want to send it back. Chef just thought he could get away with it. I ordered it because of the snow peas. I then asked for a little scallions for my wonton soup. And was told they were out of scallions as well. I then ordered mapo tofu. Dish was spicy but definitely lacked salt. Very lackluster food here. Disappointed.

What's better than a warm cup of wonton soup on a wintry day? That's the first thing I ordered at Tasty China on my first visit. I noticed a new location/new build and made a mental note to try it the next time I was in the mood for Chinese food. It was a solid visit, which makes me pleased to give five stars on my final review of 2023! First, I noticed right away the 100 A rating for its latest health inspection score. That made me feel confident about our visit. By the way, there was a sign out front indicating Tasty China had been in business for 18 years, but it's new to me. The menu was robust - thank goodness our waitress was patient because it took me a moment to decide what to try beyond the wonton soup. I settled upon chicken and broccoli with steamed rice. It's such a healthy portion I have enough for 1-2 meals at home. It's a super casual, clean vibe. You'd expect the latter for a brand new build. I noticed there was an elevator, so I think there may be a top floor for dining. I'm not sure as we were seated in a window booth near the hostess stand. We experienced no wait on a Saturday afternoon., but there was a steady crowd. Parking is easy with the attached lot. It was good enough we'll be back to explore the menu a bit more! Cheers!

Beef and Wild Pepper and Bamboo Fish with Fried Rice.

This Tasty China location is a very nice space. There is off-street parking, and there are 2 levels. At the time of this review it seemed like the upstairs was not fully opened or at least they were still adding some "final touches" to it to make it more consistently ready for business. The main dining room downstairs was very clean and spacious with lots of natural light coming in through the windows on a sunny day. Sat at a booth and ordered the Bamboo Fish and the Beef and Wild Pepper with Fried Rice and Wonton Soup to eat. For a drink, I got the Year of the Dragon cocktail. The Bamboo Fish was crispy and delicious but the Beef and Wild Pepper was a little disappointing. I was expecting the beef to be more flavorful and the peppers to be spicy but neither of those were true. The cocktail was pretty good though. The server was one of the owners and she was very nice and did a great job as far as delivering good customer service. Overall, it was a good experience so I would go back.

They're not just noodles, they're noodle artistry. The broth was rich, cozy, and the kind of thing that makes you pause mid-bite and go, "wait... why is this so good?" (Apparently this place is known for its fresh, handmade noodles and hearty broths, and yeah... that checks out. ) We ordered: * Sesame balls (dangerously snackable) * Chicken hand-pulled noodle soup (add the egg, trust me) * Shanghai pan-fried pork buns (crispy-bottomed little pockets of joy) * Lamb noodle soup (deep, savory, "I might become a regular" energy) Everything came out hot, fresh, and in portions that basically said, "we care about you... and your leftovers." Also, bonus points for being the kind of place where you can go full noodle goblin and nobody judges you. Final verdict: 5/5 Would absolutely return. Would absolutely bring friends. Would absolutely think about these noodles at random times like they're a past relationship. If you're anywhere near Kennesaw and not eating here... respectfully, what are you doing with your life?

I've had their braised spicy beef noodle soup, salt and pepper tofu, mini juicy buns, and Szechuan style Wonton and they were all amazing. They also have a whole sushi and lunch section, but I haven't tried them yet. My friend got the Szechuan spicy beef and the portion size was comically large. I view that as a good thing but it also confused me because I don't see how anyone could eat even close to that much so I'm wondering if it is expected to be eaten differently than I am assuming. Not only was it a lot of food, it was also quite spicy so you'd have to be a tank to finish it. I gave this a lower score originally because of a bad health inspection, but they fixed it so I'm bringing it up to 5 stars. This is what I originally wrote: I really want to rate this place 5 stars based on my experience. Unfortunately, I must inform you that they received a 51/100 health inspection score yesterday (2/18/2026), so imma leave it at 3 for now and hopefully update once they fix that problem. It was on a routine inspection too. I've worked in a few restaurants that have had that sort of visit and we always knew long beforehand, so we'd use the few days prior to make things look perfect for the inspection, and then the kitchen would fall back to their usual lower sanitary conditions afterwards. I can't even imagine how a restaurant gets a 51 from a routine inspection. It implies that the regular conditions are bad and the management is ineffective or that the regular conditions are so awful that the preparatory cleaning wasn't enough. I think a grade of U forces them to have a follow up visit sometime soon that determines if they can even stay in business. So hopefully I get to update this quickly.

Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw the limited menu and some of the options (I LOVE Thai food and have had variations in many parts of the world). BUT I was encouraged to know there were at least two vegan entree options on the menu. No. Never again. Not at all. The spring rolls were the most minuscule versions I've ever had. The casing was weird, to say the least, and the flavor was barely there. We ordered a broccoli entree to share. Check out the photos for yourself. WHERE IS THE BROCCOLI?!? My friend's meal was BLAND. My meal was better but the peppers were almost raw. The BEST thing we had was the roti. ROTI. At a Thai restaurant. The absolute best thing on the menu was roti?! No meatless curry options with ample veggies. Not one rice dish, served with veggies. Lots of chicken ‍. Lots of fish oil ‍. Roti was the best thing we ate. And don't even bother with the purple rice. Absolutely disappointed. The server was kind although our 2nd order of roti went to the wrong table - they gladly accepted it with no questions asked - because she was conducting what looked like an interview in between checking on our table. If you've read my reviews you know anything less than 4-5 stars is RARE. I honestly don't understand what happened during my experience at this restaurant but definitely will not be returning.
