Momoiro Ramen order counter and menu.
    Kevin C.

Overall, we had a good experience at Momoiro Ramen at Marietta Square Market in mid-October. Parking was easy for us to find in a free lot near Marietta Square Market. However, if there are nearby events or special promotions, finding available parking may be challenging. Customers can park farther away and walk MSM, though. Momoiro is a very popular food vendor in the food hall, and there seems to be a constant line of customers waiting to either order food or to pick up their orders. The menu is rather simple, with categories that include ramen, rice bowls, bao buns, sides, nigiri, drinks and one type of dessert. Customers go to the order counter to order, wait around to pick up their order, then, if they don't do take out, find a place to eat inside or outside the food hall. We waited in a long line, but it took us about 15 minutes of standing in line before we were able to place our orders. Service was patient, quick and efficient, though, and it took us only about 5 minutes for our food to be ready. We didn't walk that many steps away from Momoiro; there was an indoor dining area tucked away in the back away from the main dining area, and there were lots of empty tables that filled up quickly after we sat down. I dug into my delicious Tonkotsu Ramen, which included chashu pork, pork base, pork broth, scallions, nori, blackened garlic oil, fried garlic and seasoned egg. All of the flavors and textures complemented each other, and the ramen was cooked perfectly. I loved the taste of the chashu pork, but I wish that it was cooked just a little more. The egg was cooked perfectly to that fine point when the yolk has that just slightly jelled consistency that melts in your mouth. This dish had a good tasting broth. R enjoyed his Beef Don rice bowl, which included beef, steamed white rice, pickled cucumber and radish, scallions, bok choy, fried garlic, nori and seasoned egg. I also shared with R a spam onigiri that was a rice ball with a slice of spam all wrapped with nori seaweed. This was ok; the sauce used in it was just a little sweeter than I prefer. All portion amounts were good. We rarely make it to this part of Marietta, but we would return to Momoiro Ramen for the food.

Momoiro Ramen is a ramen focused food stall that is located inside the Marietta Square Market. While it is clear to see from their name that ramen is the main dish here, they do also offer a decent variety of buns, rice bowls and a few other items such as dumplings, onigiri and even beignets! I have visited Momoiro twice now and each time I go for the ramen, the Tuffle Miso Ramen to be exact! This is a classic ramen that features pork, miso, chicken broth, mushrooms, sprouts, scallions and nori, but has the addition of truffle oil to give it an extra pop! I have sampled the Momo Ramen as well, and while it is not my favorite, you can't really go wrong with tossing fried chicken in any dish. The ramen is always fresh, hot, well portioned and tasty! Ramen bowls will run you $13 - $18. While I have stuck with ramen on my visits here, the buns do look good! And those matcha beignets sound interesting and look tasty. So, may have to branch out and load up my tray on our next visit in! Service is always solid here. The staff are friendly, helpful and the food is always prepared with quickness. Overall, Momoiro is a solid spot located in a fantastic food hall!

This was my first trip to this particular food hall. I had picked out several things from various food stalls and went to Momoiro to order a bao. Then I spotted the onigiri and forgot about everything at any of the other stalls. I ordered a spam onigiri and it was so delicious. It lived up to all my expectations and then some. It was perfect paired with the dumpling sauce. After I ate my onigiri my partner still wanted to try a few other food stall options. He's not a seaweed lover, but did enjoy his bao. I decided to order another onigiri and selected the pork one. It was good. I would definitely eat it again...but that spam one was THE BEST.

Pork belly and chicken bai buns!

Located inside of the Marietta Market, they have some tasty items that may need a little work. I had the pork belly bao bun which was sweet and succulent, and I also had the karrage chicken bao(fried chicken) which was also pleasant, albeit missing a sweet or soy based sauce to take it to the next level. I think the little bit of sauce they put in the karrage bao, they should add it thoroughly to the bun. My sister had the chicken ramen which she said was just okay. I'll be back to try them again and to get more pork belly!!

I love food halls and this one was great. I just wish they'd have had more seating. There's like too many restaurants for the small amount of seating there but maybe they're counting on people to get it to go. The buns from this place were huge! They were like cheeseburger sized so I got full from just the two buns. They're usually much smaller but they were tasty nonetheless. The fried dumplings were really good and because the buns filled me up, I had plenty of them to take home. I want to say the order came with about 8 pretty sizable dumplings. I would certainly return to this place for more of their menu.

I'm a fan. It was a good, cold, and crisp day to head to eat some Ramen at Marietta Food Hall. We love Ramen. I had the Mo Mo Ramen with fried chicken. It was delicious. We also tried the Matcha beignets. They were savory, slightly sweet, and delicious. I definitely plan to return to try other menu options soon.

Not only is this my favorite Ramen restaurant, it is my favorite restaurant PERIODT! The duck Ramen is my absolute favorite. They give you so much meat and it is such a great price for the quantity. Their seasoned eggs are always cooked to perfection, and the flavor is to die for. They have is small but delicious selection of extra sauces you can get on the side like soy sauce, and chili oil and a couple others that I do not remember. There Bao (did I spell that right?) Buns are so delicious as well. I never really got into Bao Buns because the times I have tried them, I always thought they were too dry. But THESE Buns are to die for! This restaurant is located in the Marietta Square food hall. It is located next to the lobster restaurant in the back corner, so you have to look for it! It's kind of tucked away. There is plenty of free parking, but if you were going right at lunchtime, expect it to be pretty busy. Masks are highly recommended, but not required for everyone who enters the market. If you are at high risk for Covid, I would suggest getting your food to go. If you order Ramen and get it to go, they will box up the broth and noodles separately so your ingredients don't get too soggy. Every time I go to the food hall I end up going here. I love it so much I even want to buy one of their T-shirts!!!

I LOVE ramen. For "fast food" ramen it was okay but nothing to rave about. Ordered it to go. The to go packaging was done very well! (One of the best as far as transporting soups) and the portions are big but the actual dish lacked in flavor and the noodles seemed over do. The restaurant is inside of the Marietta Market near the square.

Beignets; Panko Avocado, and Shiitake Mushroom Bao Buns

Shiitake mushroom bao is out of this world! Fried lotus chips really contrast nicely with the relative softness of the whole bun. Panko Avocado bun was super tasty but paled in comparison to the rich flavors and textures of the mushroom bun. Matcha beignets were the delicious love-child of a funnel cake and a croissant; another dish with texture en pointe! Grabbed a margarita from the vendor across the alley while waiting; worked out really well. Can't wait to come back and try the ramen!

I LOVE the Truffle Miso Ramen the broth is so rich and flavorful and the ground chicken and noodles are superb. 10\10 The Momo Ramen or the fried chicken ramen is beloved by others it was like a fancier version of the cups for me but the fried chicken was a nice twist the broth wasn't salty 6/10 Inside the marietta street market

    Kamo Ramen
    Huie N.

Formerly momosan ramen, momoiro has a good Arsenal of menu items. Some things you can find from it (my fave things) are the Matcha beignets, duck bun, and Kamo ramen. The kamo ramen comes with duck breast and in a chicken broth. It's now a limited serving per day, so be sure to try this one when you can. The ramen are decently portioned but for around 2 dollars more, you can get a refill on noodles! Once you're done with the main course finish off with the matcha beignets! You won't regret it even if you're a bit stuffed with the refill of noodles. This is one of my top places to go to when I'm around the Marietta sq. It's always consistently delicious!

Delicious ramen in Marietta Square Market! You can tell they care about the food they serve and love the little details of everything - the menu and design are great! We ordered: -Tonkotsu Ramen - a classic creamy broth! The pork is super tender and tasty, the broth flavorful with lots of extras like fish cake, and the eggs were nice with a runny yolk! They gave us an extra egg cuz they noticed my wife and I were sharing. Yum! -Pork Belly Buns - these are my fav!! They're hefty buns and I love that there are so many components that give each bite a nice combination of textures! The sauce is delicious and the pork belly is tender. I will definitely get this again. -Matcha Beignets - these are a creative take on a classic tasty dessert. They're airy and chewy, and the matcha powder sugar isn't too sweet and gives it a nice hint of matcha taste. I don't frequent Marietta square as we live a bit further away, but will definitely try to come here whenever we're in the area! There's so much more to try on the menu!

Had a basic bowl of Tonkotsu ramen here: Char siu was very tender, to the point where it fell apart. Don't look for a nice char taste here, this is more savory Noodles were fresh and had a nice bite to them, like a traditional ramen Broth I was impressed with, it had a nice consistency and clinged well to the noodles. Nice balance between noodles and broth Marinated egg was a little on the salty side, but still good Don't expect to compare with places in Torrance or anywhere in SoCal but this place will work in a pinch

About the parking: the food hall is located adjacent to the railroad tracks on the opposite side from Marietta. This is fine unless there is a train. Even then, it appeared they had a pedestrian walkway over the tracks, but we didn't use it. The lot itself is public and appears cobbled together from where they razed former buildings. There are more like 3 - 4 separate lots that are interlinked at odd places. I think 2 of them were not joined at all, so depending on how close you want to park, you should try the lot with an entrance in front of the food hall. Payment was via texting a number or an app. They talked about validation, and I made 2 attempts to do that. One involved letting them see my location (which purported to give me 2 hours for free) and the other involved scanning a QR code at various locations in the hall (which took me to a web page for auto parts...). You can park here for 2 - 3 hours for somewhere under $9 at worst. And so, we finally enter the actual food hall. It is sort of a maze of indoor 'alleys' where you find restaurant counters, plus a main indoor plaza area with seating and more restaurant counters. You can check the website for specific places, but they had burgers, pizza, sushi, gyros, Cuban sandwiches, Asian bao buns, a coffee place, Cajun food, some dessert-oriented outlets, etc. There is enough variety to please most any party. I was planning on getting a Philly, but the place I went had a special on a gyro-and-fries for $11, so I went with that. It was good. Others in our group got a selection of buns, gumbo, and sushi. Everyone seemed to like the food. As for seating, they have a large number of cafeteria-style long tables in the main plaza. It was crowded, but we were able to immediately find space for 4 people without feeling crowded by the next group down the table. Saturday around noon after youth sports events may be their peak time, but I don't know. While Marietta has plenty of restaurants, if you want a possibly quicker and cheaper option while visiting, this place may be worth checking out.

They came temporary style so they were fried and battered. I'm pretty sure those are ranch dressing that went along with them, or maybe the sauce for the fries was that and sauce, I'm not sure. But they were okay. But I wouldn't rush back to them necessarily. Crispy chicken - The crispy chicken was decent. It came in very large chunks of chicken, kind of like smaller chicken tenders. Nothing out of the box though. They were only so seasoned, nothing got to make your mouth explode LOL Beef chashu bowl - This bowl was good. Kind of reminds me of that. I'm getting your beef kind of flavor. It's basically a rice bowl if you traded the ramen and the broth for rice. And you have that beef and the egg and a couple of other accompaniments, but it's really good or very far too. I kind of a brown sugar teriyaki kind of blend and if you want to know the flavor profile. Spicy chicken ramen - was good. I got it spicy but it's another level above that. If you want more heat. It comes with two chicken in it, and plenty of very good news. The broth is super savory and it will make you tingle a little bit LOL. French fries - The fries are shoestring fries and they're okay. They tell me the sauce. I'm not sure what it is though. But they are decent, nothing pretty out of the box. Even though it's a chain, the ramen is totally worth it.
