This is an interesting farmers market with an eclectic mix of fresh food, meat, seafood, bread,…read morefresh shucked oysters, homemade sausage, art, soaps, jerky, jewelry, dog treats, fresh cracklin', jellies & salad dressings, honey, vinegars, local coffee and tea, fresh pretzels, fresh juice drinks, desserts and fresh shrimp cocktails. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but you get the drift. Obviously the selection changes every week, but you get to know your favs. Parking is generally available, though you may have to drive around or walk a block or two - at least it's free on weekends. Bank to get cash is close by, but most vendors take Venmo now; some take credit cards. You've got to get out of bed - might as well make the morning a good experience. :)

They have some freshly prepared food you can order and eat here and then other things that are packaged you can eat now or later. There are also many arts and crafts to enjoy and then an interesting selection of various other books, crafts and knickknacks. It does seem to be pretty variable here as I've been here when they had lots of amazing things and other times where the selection was blah. I've enjoyed some great live music here and then just had pretty blah times. The good news is this market is located right in downtown Gretna so there are lots of good options to eat and drink at in the area so if you arrive on a less than optimal market day there is still plenty to keep you occupied.

The sacred,…read moreuplifting energy that radiates through the garden is palpable--it immediately puts you at ease and makes the entire celebration feel meaningful and elevated. The grounds are immaculate, and it's clear the groundskeeping team pours real care, artistry, and intention into every inch of the space. Every single detail of our wedding day and night was handled with grace, precision, and heart. The behind-the-scenes magic, the thoughtful accommodations, and the warmth and attentiveness of every team member made the entire experience feel effortless for us as a couple. That level of excellence doesn't just happen--and as wedding vendors ourselves, we were genuinely impressed by the caliber of professionalism, coordination, and care across the board. You run an exceptional ship. The food and bar deserve their own standing ovation. We had countless guests come up to us throughout the night saying, "This is the best wedding food I've ever had." And they meant it. The quality, execution, and flavor were truly Michelin-star worthy--which is incredibly difficult to achieve on a large scale. What sets this culinary team apart is that everything is plated fresh--not banquet-style, not mass-produced. You can taste the intention in every bite. Guests were eating hot, beautifully executed food while still fully immersed in the flow and joy of the night. Karen and the coordination team were exceptional--calm, intuitive, deeply capable, and genuinely invested in making our day feel personal, joyful, and seamless. We are endlessly grateful that we ended up with your team for our big day. It truly could not have gone more wonderfully in anyone else's hands. If you are considering this venue and team: book them without hesitation. We will be advocating for this institution forever and actively looking for reasons to work together again. Same time next year? Love Suzy & Hunter

The overall vibe of the venue was romantic without being over the top just beautiful and perfectly done. The drinks and open bar were great, but the food was truly a highlight. Everything was made fresh right in front of us, and it was absolutely delicious easily rivaling some of the best local restaurants. I've been wanting to visit Paradigm Gardens for their concert nights, and after experiencing this event, it's definitely going on my calendar!

I feel like I'm in a similar fable about greed, maybe called Strega Arugula. I always thought, "I can never get enough arugula!" Whenever I eat arugula, my favorite leaf, I think, "The only thing that can improve this? More arugula." Then I was presented with the St James Cheese Company Manchego Salad. I was so excited when they set it down. This is a mountain of baby arugula the size of my head. The flavor combinations are so delicious, they make me think crazy thoughts. Thoughts like, "A grilled cheese wouldn't taste bad with almond butter and pears on it" et cetera. But I found a funny thing happening as I ate the salad; something that has never happened before. I... started to tire of arugula. I thought, "wow, I'm kindof full... of arugula." I don't know how to feel. I don't know what to say. Much like Billie Eilish, I got everything I wanted. And now I feel... a weird bitterness in my mouth. Literally. What do I want? Do I even have a good handle on what it is I want? I thought what I wanted was to eat the whole container of baby arugula. Now I think what I want is... a salad that's $2 less and has somewhat less leaves in it? The same salad with more pears? A friend to bring to lunch to split a salad with? I'll be back, though. Maybe next time I'll my other favorite salad: the caesar. Wish me luck.

They have several flavors of individually-wrapped full-size pralines and offer boxes of three (and it's a beautiful box) at no upcharge. They also carry some non-praline items like local hot sauces and spices. All the items are priced incredibly affordably, especially compared to other praline and gift shops I checked out! I stocked up on a bunch of items here to bring back home as gifts and personal treats. The woman working behind the counter was lovely. She overheard me expressing interest in one flavor of praline and promptly cut one up for me to sample, and she also noticed one of the pralines she picked out for a box was broken and immediately switched it out for another one. Definitely make a stop here if you're looking for souvenirs or just to sample some famous pralines.

I tried the cajun brittle and the traditional praline, but both were quite sweet and lacked flavor. Nonetheless, I picked up a box of 12 (traditional and chocolate) for my friends and family to try.
