One of my hugest complaints about checking out Art Galleries is being taken seriously. I realize…read morethat I am young and not your typical art buying public but you should never judge a book by it's cover. Well that was not a problem here as Brian, took the time to show us around. This place is a bit hard getting to especially with all of the construction on Kirby but if you don't mind driving around neighborhood streets this place is worth checking out. I thought it was a small venue from outside but it's actually HUGE. There are 2 buildings in which they have art. And each building is 2 stories each. In between the 2 buildings is a beautiful sculpture garden. Even though they are mainly an art gallery, they do rent out their space for events. WIth the beautiful art on the wall this place could be the perfect backdrop for a gala. They charge 3,000 for 3 hours and that includes the room and the sculpture garden. Also this place seemed like a great place to work as each of the offices themselves were like mini galleries as each room was covered with art.

My friend and I went to their last opening They had delicious mimosas and cookies The artist was young and her excitement About her opening was contagious. The gallery organized a short artist talk And she was entertaining and knowledgeable. My friend even ended up buying a piece Of her work on the spot! It looks great in her study. I definitely recommend Gremillion & Co If you are in the market for art for your home Or office. These are friendly, knowledgeable folks Who will help you find something perfect!

What a beautiful place!…read more We hob-knobbed with Houston's FInest Cowboys and Cowgirls last night at a benefit gala for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event was the Ben Johnson Memorial Cowboy Classic. The country club is one of the oldest and by far, the friendliest I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff was on point, professional and always accomodating. They served us a 3-course dinner with grace and lots of charm! the food was very good. We had a petite filet topped with lump crabmeat and a bearnaise sauce on the side with perfectly grilled asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes. The best part? The homemade vanilla topped with your choice of fudge or butterscoth syrup. The butterscotch was heavenly (Jocelyn, our server, even gave me a second spoonful!) Parking was easy and valet service is available of course. My advice? Pinky out!

I parked about a 10 minute walk away from the entrance. I thought the tournament was organized very well. It was easy to find open seats, and the workers did a good job of managing the crowds. The food options were okay, they sold out of some stuff by the afternoon. I settled for a hamburger since I think they ran out of some BBQ items. Decent amount of little shops to visit, but nothing worth buying in my opinion. Cute photo ops and decor. Felt like a little tennis village. Overall, it was really cool to see professional tennis up close for free. The grounds are kept clean and the country club definitely gives off a luxurious vibe!
