They are wonderful! They do anything they can to make their guests feel like they belong. If you are looking for great repartee or to enjoy a quiet evening alone, either way, they will happily oblige. Then there is the food! Everything is made from scratch...including the yogurt! Finally, there is the house itself. Enjoy mechanical music? Boy have they got it! There are at least four grand reproducing pianos, a pianola, a full player organ, numerous rare music boxes, and victrolas and radios of every sort. Then there is the collection of rare clocks...to many to count. During the summer, you will probably receive a tour of the spectacular antique car collection which includes two Franklin Automobiles and an American LaFrance roadster, to name a few. By the way, each suite is clean and well appointed and boasts a unique theme! Go, enjoy, have fun!!!

She told us all about upcoming stuff in the area and just joked around and made us feel so welcome. The room was beautiful! It was actually much bigger than the online pictures show. The garden area was so peaceful and beautiful and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to come back and stay again. As for the claims it is haunted, after our 1 night stay I absolutely believe it!

At that time, it felt like a true bed-and-breakfast experience with thoughtful personal touches (guests were welcomed with a bottle of wine, breakfast was full and clearly made with care, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and attentive). Over the past couple of years, especially since the addition of their second location, I've noticed some changes in the overall experience. The level of personal interaction feels more limited than it used to, and check-in and general hospitality have become more minimal. I do understand how difficult it can be to find and retain good staff in the hospitality industry, and I appreciate the effort that goes into running a business like this. The biggest change for me has been the food and dining experience. They are no longer offering a bottle of wine in the room, but a glass of wine ordered at the bar. Breakfast, which used to be a real highlight is now much more basic and doesn't feel as thoughtfully prepared as it once did. Pricing has also increased, while the overall food offerings have decreased in both variety and quality. One of our favorite extras used to be the charcuterie platter for two, which we would order one each stay and enjoy in our room. We've stopped ordering it because both the portion size and product quality no longer felt consistent with the price or with our earlier experiences. Overall, I still like Deer Creek Inn, our favorite rooms are the Brooks Deluxe Suite and the Celebration room. We will continue to visit occasionally, but it no longer has quite the same special feel it once did for us, so I won't be going as often as I used to.

In the early morning hours and sometimes even during the day - the surrounding hills cover with fog and you feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the ocean. It's utterly breathtaking. (I highly recommend staying in the upstairs bedroom! Super comfy beds, an awesome bathroom/shower, and a perfect view of the rolling hills!) A large group of wedding vendors and I photographed a styled wedding on the property and we couldn't have been happier with the end result. There are acres and acres of beautiful trails to walk, a large pond full of fish, an awesome bonfire and outdoor bar, as well as a beautiful barn on the land. The space is utterly perfect for country or outdoor weddings! I cannot wait to visit again - both for professional reasons and for personal! We were attending a baby shower hosted at Maple Shade Mansion, and decided to stay there for our visit. Best decision ever. I am a hotel/B&B/accommodation fanatic. We are always traveling, and our stays are always my job to book. This is by far one of the best B&Bs I have ever had the privilege of staying at. No detail is overlooked, and the service from Karl and Sharon was unmatched. They completely take pride in the Inn and their service of it, and it is very well felt. From our late arrival landing in Pittsburgh, we were greeted with the most amazing welcome. From the evening reception - to the most amazing, multi-course breakfast, it was all superb. My friend and I had booked the Squire Suite. She stayed in the Hugh, and I in the Anna. I wish I could have packed up the bathroom to bring home. That tub was PERFECT! The bed and linens so comfy! And I was obsessed with all of their variety of glassware, plates and other serving dishes. For the shower, we were treated to a spectacular 5 course meal, with no detail overlooked. If you are looking at Maple Shade Mansion for an event - you are in great hands! One morning breakfast consisted of a parfait, followed by an amazing egg soufflé. The next morning we had berries, followed by delicious strawberry waffles. I could go on and on, but will leave it at - WOW! When I got home, I told my husband I am working on an excuse to get back to Brockway again sometime soon! This truly was every spectacular experience I've ever had at many B&Bs all combined under one roof. Thank you for a wonderful visit! We will see you again soon! Hopefully in the warmer months to fully enjoy the grounds, porches and flowers!

It is about 25 minutes from the Jimmy Stewart museum in Indiana Pennsylvania. Because of covid, we didn't get the breakfast, but that wasn't a deal breaker for us; we just ate in the restaurants in town. Also, because of covid, you had to ask for extra towels if you want them, extra toilet paper, and you had to ask to get your barrel emptied. But Julie was there to get in touch with if you needed anything. There is a nice veranda in the back where you can sit and enjoy the yard. If you look close enough, you can see fireflies in the grass at night. There is a coffee station outside the room with lots of different coffee flavors available. The room was big enough and we enjoyed our stay here. If you want to book the room for Groundhog day, you need to book it waaaay in advance.
