The Brick is a great venue for hosting events. I've been here several times for several occasions like wedding ceremonies and proms. If you plan on hosting over 100+ people, space might become an issue, as it's a little smaller than other venues. There's plenty of staff on duty and it's a beautiful atmosphere. We had our wedding ceremony (in the loft area) and reception (main floor & bar) here on January 1, 2016. We planned our wedding from Los Angeles and Keith was amazing throughout the whole process. We rented the tables, chairs, and linens from The Brick--it was all beautiful! The venue was a reasonable price. Everything was laid out very clearly in the contract and the FAQs. Anything I needed help with, Keith was available by e-mail and responded very quickly. Our vendors were easily able to access the venue to set up catering (The Landing) and the cake (C'est La Vie). Venue was fine but also not in the best part of town.(it's "up and coming") My car window was smashed out while at an event here the other night. If you're going to have a venue in a not so good part of town, you should have security working the parking lot so that things like this do not happen in the future.(after research, we apparently declined security, so I guess that's my bad there) Please note: DO NOT turn down their security for an extra charge, it is needed! I've heard through the grapevine that my experience is actually not uncommon at this venue too. Will not be returning or recommending The Brick ever again. It's actually quite ironic that a brick is what was used to break the window in of my car. To add to this, if you're looking for a similar type venue in South Bend, but much nicer, check out The Armory. read more

Attended a beautiful wedding here. It is an empty "industrial" space upon which to build an event. Classy lighting for darkened events. Fancy lady's restroom was "fun". We did not use the two loft areas. Parking was okay but a long walk to front doors. Nice outdoor cafe area for smokers. Floors are cement. I did not like the clear "bamboo" plastic chairs which I'm sure make clean-up a breeze but don't feel very sturdy for the "sitters". The bar was a bit of a walk away from the hall/dance floor--would have been nice to have it moved into and a part of the festivities. (but also kept the cash bar stuff OUT of the event so it's a preference thing). I would highly recommend this venue--it's a non-churchy, non-hotely "neutral" space for a good time. I was an attendee, not a planner so can't speak to those details. read more

The Brick was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. My husband and I planned our wedding from Upstate New York and the manager, Keith, was so helpful and patient. The gorgeous industrial design on the building's interior and exterior made decorating a breeze and really reflects my personal style. Our friends and family traveled from all over the country and adored the space as well. I loved the flexibility of getting to pick our own vendors for our wedding, the affordability of the rental, and we used the in house speaker system to play Spotify and it worked very well! My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Brick a few weeks ago. The first time I walked into The Brick, I knew that it was going to be where I wanted to have my wedding. I contacted Keith at the Brick, and he responded right away. Throughout the entire planning process of the wedding, Keith was just an email away to answer any questions I had. The best part is that on Monday's they are open to the public. Which means I was able to go in weekly and measure the space, look around, and take my wedding planners there so they could see the space. In addition to Keith, there was also Dave( the best bartender in the world). Dave was at the Brick every time I was there. He walked us around the space, explained the history of the building, let me see the event chairs, and was just all around helpful. Keith and Dave take great care of the building, and we definitely recommend booking an event there! read more

We got married this past weekend and the venue was absolutely perfect, and I feel like that's even an understatement. Everything was beautiful.
