I am editing my review in response to the owner, this is a long a$$ review, but it is honest and fully transparent: I HATE that Carrie pulled the "it's hard to find people with a good work ethic" card. That is not a good look, and it sounds like an anti-labor stance. Last year my favorite lady who worked there mentioned that she was not making enough money working full-time at BH. When she left, I said, "Bummer, I liked her," the person working that day said that she got a new job where she made enough money to live and that it is "hard to do that here." That is why you have a high turnover; don't blame your workers for the problems you create. To address the drink issue: I have a flyer for Brickhouse from a year/year and a half ago that talks about how every service comes with a complimentary drink from the coffee bar. Your flyers may have been worded misleadingly, but they didn't mention the drinks only being included in seasonal specials. There are also signs around the coffee bar that say drinks are complimentary with your service. So don't give me poo and tell me it's porridge. Let me elaborate on the price increase bit, as I did not express what I meant well. Brick House eliminated several services that were cost-effective deals. My issue is not with prices increasing, it is that Brick House has reduced its menu and removed the budget-friendly options. In my opinion, that is equivalent to raising prices. Carrie, customers leaving reviews are reaching out to you with their concerns. You had an opportunity to respond more professionally, and me wrong. But you didn't. You brushed my concerns off and threw your employees under the bus. Your dismissive response, coupled with your anti-labor dog whistles, confirms that going directly to you would have wasted my time and that Brick House is not a business I want to support. Original review: I have been going to Brick House for three years. I used to recommend them to everyone. Not anymore. They've made changes that have made the place go downhill. When you raise prices, the increase either needs to be minor, or you need to offer better services. BH cranked their prices up by a significant amount, and their quality of service has tanked. First, they need more people on staff to service more than one person at a time. That was always annoying to me, they charge you an arm and a leg, and then, if you booked a service for two people, they make you get your service one at a time. They can't say, "We're so busy, you have to book way out," and only have one person working most days. That's BS, and it is not fair to the employees. Second, they've had some massive turnover. I don't blame their good employees for jumping ship; with how things are, I would, too. Their new people are not good at their jobs or very professional (I am NOT blaming them, this is likely due to a gross lack of training). The lady who did my mani/pedi for my mom and I was slow, unprofessional, and nasty at her job. I showed her that I had a blister on my toe and asked her to be mindful of it, and she either ignored me or forgot and ripped the top off. She got lotion, oil, and sugar accepted in it, which hurt, and now, two days later, it looks like it might be infected. Their most significant transgression, IMO, is no longer offering drinks with every service. That was like one of their only draws. Other than that, they're no different than any other spa. Even I asked about it, they acted like it was never policy to offer drinks with every service, but I've been going to BH for three years, so I know that it used to be included with every service. I am going to be telling everyone not to go here. One of my friends I recommended to this place had a terrible experience with her last month, so this isn't a single event. I'll be going to 7Wonders from now on, and I hope others do the same. BH no longer deserves loyalty. read more

Everything was wonderful here. I bought their Indulgence Package. The waiting area is comfortable and fairly quiet, with lots of little shop Nic-Naks to look at. For 166 dollars, the package gave me a 60 minute massage with Amari who was very sweet and checked in with me at perfect internals to ensure I was still comfortable and the pressure was good. A mask was not required during the massage, but Amari kept hers on the whole time. Because I was receiving multiple services I was provided a comfortably large robe to borrow while getting to my nail and toe appointment as well as a barge tote bag to put all of my normal clothes/shoes into. Suzanne did my nails and toes and was quite pleasant to chat with. She did a wonderful hand and foot massage during the mani/pedi (not that I needed it after a 60 minute full body massage but i wasn't about to turn that down!) during the pedicure they offered a complimentary coffee/tea which they were quick to deliver back. Once I was all finished with my appointments they directed me to their large powder room to change back into my normal clothes. I found a small bottle of face cleanser i have wanted to try in their shop area, and check out after was simple. The receptionist/barista was very sweet, knowledgeable about the cleanser I wanted to try, and made sure to ask how I liked everything today. I've been going to The Brick House on and off for the last 10 years! I have had pedicures, manicures, massages and waxing. I've also been to a spa party there and that was a blast! Every time, I've walked out feeling refreshed and I always forget about that complimentary yummy little chocolate and bottle of water that I'm given when I check out - I LOVE that! It's not often you walk away from an appointment with a treat. I've definitely run late a few times and they were able to accommodate me. I have referred people to The Brick House and also bought several gift certificates from there and will continue to do so. I love the interior with the relaxing red colors and the couches to just hang out. I've gone in before just to buy a latte and chat with a friend and didn't have to have a service to enjoy the ambience. Thankful for businesses like this that get it right! read more

My husband and I have been going to Brickhouse for couples massages for years, and it has always been a wonderful experience! The environment is inviting, the rooms are comfy and welcoming, and the entire staff has always been so nice. We went again yesterday and had another amazing massage! The gentleman who did my massage we excellent - it felt like a mix of relaxation + massage therapy. He worked through all my knots, was very attentive, and even offered me insight as to some stretches that I could do at home to help my troubled neck, since I do office work and often have troubles sleeping. Last night, for the 1st time in months, I was able to sleep on my left side / shoulder without discomfort or pain. I have been going to the Brickhouse for many years for my pedicures and manicures. I go there because of the great customer service, the professionalism of the estheticians. They only use the best products and demonstrate a high standard of sanitization and clean practices. I have never been concerned about getting a service where corners were cut. Their waiting area is more like coffee lounge that makes it comfortable to wait if I happen to get there a little early. I have never come away from there without beautiful feet and hands. You should give them a try. They have an espresso bar and you can see the skincare product lines they use that you can sample. They also have other fun products they sell. You won't go wrong by calling and making an appointment for one of their services. read more

My fiancé and I did a couple's massage last night and we were not sure what to expect as it was both of our first professional massage... we were extremely impressed! Starting at the front desk, we were warmly welcomed and then our massage therapists, Kila and Jennifer, did great and their vibe was immaculate for taking the awkwardness out of the room for us. We immediately felt a difference in our shoulders as they sat a little lower than when we walked in from the release of our tension and my knee hasn't felt this great in years because Kila went in on the scar tissue from a previous surgery. My Husband and I where give a coupon for Christmas from our family's, We went and has massages and had our hand and feet done. This was the best time to be able to spend some quality time together just enjoying being pampered. It is rare that we get do do things together as we are very busy teaching school and taking care of our grandchildren while our daughter works. The building was very clean and beautiful. POST SURGERY Walking in has such a beautiful setting very welcoming girls up front amazing. Gabby was also amazing, she made sure I was comfy made sure the massage wasn't hurting me or making me feel any discomfort in the areas of my incisions. I only scheduled a 30min massage, I should of did the whole hour but I was a bit nervous to possibly having some discomfort but i didn't, after my 30mins I could have easily done the other 30 lol I would highly recommend The Brickhouse Before leaving I made another 3 appointments just to get this body back into tip top shape read more

I have been going to the Brickhouse for years. I am an avid runner and have been very happy with the therapists who listen to my needs - deep tissue focusing on calves, low back, and shoulders. I have also had pedicures and think they are relaxing while doing a great job of getting rid of my callouses. And the wonderful latte made for me while my toes are getting pretty is just the icing on the cake. The office staff is professional and I definitely will be going back! I had a great session with Victoria yesterday. Not only did she make my problem leg area feel better, she showed me how to do stretches to keep it in check so that it doesn't get hurt again. She took the time and energy to explain why I was hurting myself by sitting so long and to suggest a couple of ideas to head off the tender area before it becomes a problem again. I received a gift card for Christmas and decided on a facial with "velvet" hand and feet treatments. A very nice massage therapist, checked on how I was liking things and checked for temperature of feet and hand warmers but no other talking. All the sensations on my face, hands and feet, and smells of products were lovely. My mind drifted around in relaxation. It was just the right amount of time. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. A product was recommended to buy at the end, which always is a little uncomfortable for me, but I bought it and like it. read more

No more going to the mall for a pedicure for me! All of the staff is very friendly at The Brick House. Hailee is awesome I'm greeted with a smile & asked if I would like a beverage. I sit down & I'm ready to relax & have my feet pampered. My toenails have never looked so good. She is very meticulous & makes sure each nail is perfect. I really like the fast drying polish(?) used there. I know it's not considered the most "manly" thing to do (getting a pedicure), but if you've had an ingrown toenail, then you understand how little the public's perception of something matters when that thing fixes your toe at a fraction of the cost of a doctor, with much less pain, infinitely more comfort, and comes with a tasty beverage and a leg massage to boot. Probably one of my favorite places I have ever worked! The brick house is not only a wonderful spa to visit, but it's a fantastic place to work. Carrie and Felicia are a management team that really care about their staff. They made me feel welcome when I was very new to Spokane. It's hard to describe how good it felt to have a facial and be rid of the day-to-day for an hour, but I'll try. This was so much more than I expected; exfoliation is my new word, but there was cleansing and masking and hot towels and every product smelled wonderful. And massage, I did not expect that but my face, neck, arms and hands were treated to a soothing massage with a blueberry soy cream that smelled great. I took my 6 year old daughter for a "back to school" spa day. We both had massages, manis and pedis. We had a wonderful time!! The massages were divine. We both did alternating nail colors and the ladies were happy to let us take out time and pick colors. Service was so friendly from start to finish, massage therapist was very into feedback after to make sure he was providing exactly what I needed and if there was anything I didn't prefer. My friend gave me a gift certificate for my birthday. I splurged a little more to get the Perfect Three package. It was absolutely divine!! The pedicure was beautiful and relaxing.
