I've been meaning to write my review about this place ages ago. So this place is a block away from me which is pretty awesome. I've come here on numerous occasions and have enjoyed the food and drinks each time. My favorite choices here has to be the garlic fries and Shepherds pie. The Breakfast/Brunch menu isn't bad either! I believe I had their biscuits and gravy and that's another one of my favorites. The Wedge salad is also yummy here!All in all this is a great neighborhood bar. The bartenders here are nice and quick. Oh and they have a patio section too which is perfect seeing as it's summer time here now! Plenty of tv screens here too for you sports nuts. read more

We've been loving going to The Point and getting takeout from them. We just realized The Bridge is owned by the same people and since it's closer wanted to try it tonight! We got takeout and arrived at the estimated 30 min prep time. 10 minutes later we were home with the food and everything was cold. The burgers especially were ice cold and sauces had made it so the buns were soggy and falling apart. While the food still tasted okay, I would not recommend getting takeout from here. This is a great spot to enjoy the game and catch up with your friends. The food has its appeal, but I wouldn't put it on my list of places to return to. One star is deducted for the drinks I ordered. --Strawberry Fields Forever: (off the specialty cocktails menu) tasted like sprite and marishino flavoring. I kept asking myself "Where is the booze???" It was filled in a tall, beer glass and LOADED with ice. I sucked it down in less than five minutes just to see if I got that usual, boozy headrush....nothing. I'm guessing it was a one ounce pour. For $8, not worth it....unless overpriced sugar water is your thing. --Moscow Mule: this is always my go to when my first selection disappoints me. I figure, people can't mess it up because it's so widely known and basic to make. Meh. There was the equivalent to half a sliced lime in it, as well as too much ice (again) and just lacked any sort of well-made quality. **Food** This is where they shine. --Open Face Empenada (with pork): this is such a GOOD IDEA!!!!!! I found I was savoring every delicious bite and was enough to fill me up but not bloat me out. --Philly Cheesesteak: I felt really sorry for my date because this sandwich was so tiny!!!! The taste was on point, but the portions could use some tweaking. Not enough fillings OR a big enough bun....but the fries were piping hot! --Ice Cream Sandwich: this is big enough to share! We wound up getting one each and by the half-way point, I couldn't finish it. Well, let's say this local watering hole is a huge improvement from Chuck & Sally's Tavern that use to grace this building. But then again Chuck & Sally's was a classic West Seattle dive bar.. I walked up to get seated and grab a bite and some drinks. I wanted to double check they were dog friendly before just bringing my dogs through. Took forever to be acknowledged, but when I was I began with "are dogs allowed on your patio? Just wanted to check because we didn't see a gate back there" and was met with "ummm yes but we have RULES". Sounded exactly how you would read that. Then awkward silence. I respond with "ok, what are your rules?" The answer was "no biting, jumping, or barking or you're OUTTA HERE!" in the most ridiculously rude tone ever. Maybe they've had bad experiences in the past or whatever, I don't know. I think it's a reasonable expectation if you're going to take your dog to a restaurant or bar anywhere that they shouldn't be doing any of these things and you can be asked to leave if they do. The rules were reasonable, the tone and general demeanor was not. Needless to say it made me very uncomfortable. I took my money and my dogs elsewhere, and I won't be back. read more

Great brunch! I had the French toast ($12). They put this amazing sauce on it. For those that don't like too much sweet you can have the French toast and sauce without the syrup and it's just enough! We stopped by The Bridge for brunch with a friend on a Sunday morning and we were pleasantly surprised by everything we experienced yesterday. Surprisingly the place was not packed and I felt like we discovered a brunch gem! Service was very attentive but not overbearing ready to refill coffee and water. It was great to find a place that actually serves a strong cup of coffee for once! The brunch drink menu had plenty of options but the part I loved the most was the selection of bloody mary variations. We tried the classic and it was delicious but I plan on going back to try the rest, I'm hoping they introduce some crazy garnishes in the future. The food itself was delicious, we all had the chicken fried steak. It came with plenty of sausage gravy, eggs and potatoes. I loved their potatoes, they were seasoned nicely and crispy to boot. The gravy itself was nice and thick, well-seasoned as well. The best part was that batter, it was crisp and flavorful as chicken fried steak should be. A nice portion as well. I was a little worried their portion sizes wouldn't be satisfied during my recon but I struggled to finish my plate! I'm eager to go back to the Bridge and explore the menu. I appreciate what the folks here are doing to maintain safety for everyone. The staff is all masked up. They have signs on the door encouraging customers to wear a mask as well as instructions on how to properly wear one. All the seating inside is clearly marked. They put extra high spacers in between booths. On the patio they have the tables spaced apart and have "No seating allowed" signs on the center bar style table. (Also the patio is dog friendly and they will provide water bowls) I have been in a few times since phase 1.5 initiated. The customer base is just as conscientious as the staff. The majority of the customers are wearing masks when not at their table (no table service so you order from the bar). As someone with a strong corporate safety compliance background I feel as comfortable as one can being out and about around strangers. It looks like they are doing all the right things so I highly recommend checking it out. Don't forget your mask! read more

I've been here twice for dinner and had a great experience both times. It's a seat yourself place which is awesome so you can sit within view of the TV playing the game you're interested in. I ordered the steak skewers and they are delicious. The spicy sauce truly makes the meal. I've also had their french fries with the chipotle ranch sauce and they were bomb. Their cocktails are also legit. I've had the Rose 75, Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita and a Moscow mule. Big fan of them all. It can be a little loud and rowdy when an exciting game is on. Used to really like this place but the service had been so bad lately. Outside of brunch and football season when they seem to be on their game, the staff is slow, indifferent, and unfriendly. No one greets you when you walk in and several times we've had to wave someone down to get noticed and bus a table for you. After 20 minutes of feeling invisible, you're noticing every missed detail. The waiters act busy, even when it's mostly empty, and while we watched them not take our order, we could figure out what they were busy doing. I like a surly bar experience but this was just without care for your experience. For those that forget about eye contact or conversation. It's like they wish you weren't there. I liked this place. But let me tell you why it's only 3 stars because it's worth 4 First impression, cool atmosphere, has board games and great place to watch sports. Hopefully our server was just having a bad day because her customer service was terrible. We had to wave her down numerous times to order food, order more drinks, to get the bill. She would just bypass our table constantly. Never checking in with us to make sure food was good, if we needed anything-you know, the way you check in on your customers. She had an irritated look on her face every time we waved her down like we were interrupting her day. When we told her we wanted to order food she seemed surprised. She had no server etiquette. My husband and I spilt an order of fries, HUGE order of fries with the house sauce and rosemary aioli. We don't think we received the correct sauces for one the server didn't mention which was which and never stopped by to make sure everything was ok which would have been another opportunity to figure out which sauce was which. We also split a classic Bridge burger and added a fried egg on top which was really good!! I would recommend this place to others, food was good and cool atmosphere. read more

Cute spot on California Avenue! I thought parking would be worth based on the location but it was actually not that bad. Walked in, found a table relatively easily. Was greeted within a few minutes of sitting down. Tables already had menus on them. I ordered the strawberry mule to start which is good, would definitely recommend. The purée was natural and tasty. We ordered the kale caesar salad and the egg rolls on the fresh menu which is a confusing name for that part of the menu because the eggrolls were a twist on a reuben sandwich. The eggrolls were good but they were definitely have you in a little bit greasy. The kale salad however it was really really delicious and I would highly recommend. Our server was attentive and tuned into when we needed more. She had high energy. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience and I would definitely check out this spot again read more

Had the best experience! I attended an event at the Bridge this evening and the male bartender suggested an amaretto whisky sour when I found myself unsure of what to order. I stopped by The Bridge on a Sunday to catch some football with friends. They have all games on an array of large TVs around the restaurant and the seating arrangement will give you the opportunity to have a front row seat catch your favorite team. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered some good old manmosas aka PBR and OJ. If you've never had one of these you need to try it. PBR is pretty much the same thing as champagne anyway, right? They have some very affordable drink options with brunch. For sustenance I started with the fried cheese curds. There was a Wisconsin native in attendance and he verified the quality of these curds. I trust his judgement. It was a great portion of melting goodness. Next for me was the biscuits and gravy. Not the best rendition of biscuits and gravy I've had but nothing to shake a stick at. It hit the spot. Portion on this was large too and I couldn't even finish it! I'd say my big take away here was the vibe. It's cool to be in a place filled with sports fans from all over the country. It creates a sense of camaraderie and it's always fun to root against your teams rivals. Very fun place to grab some grub and catch some football. read more
