Hours and hours walking around Seattle, we were hungry. Locals helped satisfy the hunger. People enjoying the bar side of the restaurant while our family of seven enjoyed the restaurant. By the time we had dinner, although hungry, it was past 8 and we needed to eat a little lighter and mostly had apps, so not sure how light that meal really was. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Because it was a bit cold, my younger sister got the fried chicken ramen. Fried chicken was not chicken katsu but fried chicken. The chicken was a bit salty while the ramen had a good amount of spice to it. Ramen broth was really good, especially on a cold night for me being from Hawaii. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the cheese perogies. I enjoy perogies and haven't had any while on this trip to Seattle so a bit of a bummer. It was more like cheese ravioli. However best part of dinner was having the family together. And we ended the night on a good note. And the staff, so sweet. We appreciate you all for accommodating our family. Food: 10/10. This is hands-down one of the best Caesar salads I've had in Seattle. The flavor was completely mind blowing. I do wish there were more protein added on since you pay extra for the protein but overall, this was a great salad. Definitely filling and worth it. After much research on Yelp the people voted and we went with the happy hour menu here. Shawn was our guy and he was amazing. We shared a Smash burger with a side of fries and wings with southern Cajun seasoning. The burger was delicious. I'm a burger lover and enjoy a classic grassfed medium rare with extra lettuce. I'll start with the good! Came to Local with some friends after an event in SLU. The drinks were pretty good, especially the skinny mango marg. The nachos were tasty too and they accommodated the vegetarians by putting the beef on the side. It was Friday around 9pm and wasn't too crowded. It took a while to get a table, so I asked the front if we could sit at the bar and they said no. We were eventually seated in the far back away from other parties when there were open tables in the bar area which was a bummer (again, Friday night - would've preferred some liveliness). Our server took a long time to come by throughout the night, like at least 20-30 minutes between, so we only got one round of drinks over 2 hours. My first stop once I arrived to Seattle and I wanted to whine down. I walked over to this restaurant/bar and instantly fell in love with the vibes! Locals were friendly and approachable. My bartender was very helpful and even gave recs for my nachos. I tried a beermosa made with guava and it was so refreshing! Just what I needed after a flight. My nachos were also good but I wish it had a little more pork meat. Otherwise, great flavors, toppings and generous portion served. This can be shared for sure. A cozy neighbourhood bar that hits the spot when you're craving comfort food. Their burgers are solid -- and the best part is you can swap any of them for an Impossible patty, which is such a win. The yam fries and finger foods are perfect for sharing over drinks. I've been in the industry for longer than I care to admit. I'm visiting from San Francisco and I'm sitting at the bar. I think the food is incredible. But is this a corporate establishment? Because It feels like it mostly because I basically got ignored. I literally watched all the bartenders and staff mingle with one another while I got left alone after I ordered. I had to raise my hand to pull an employee away from their "way more important" conversation to get another beer and then had to ask again for a 3rd. Nobody came back unless I asked them too. Food - I got the dutch baby which was good. But I had some of my husband's hash and the potatoes were amazing. They were little squares of thinly sliced and layered potatoes that were crispy and salted perfectly. I will try the recreate these potatoes at home but I'll prob fail. This place was busy when we got there at 530p. Our group was able to get a booth in the bar area so it was a little bit loud but we had a great waitress. When the water arrived our glasses were dirty and there was a lot of floaties. We asked for a new glasses and the glasses that were provided were also dirty. I ordered the fish tacos that came with two deep fried fish tacos on fresh cabbage and a delicious pico de gallo. Also it had a side of french fries that were a little underdone and they charged a dollar for a side of tartar sauce. The fish tacos were delicious. Solid 3.5 for food and 5 for service. Conveniently located LPE is a great spot to catch a quick lunch while at work. I personally didn't like how tangy my couscous salad was, but I appreciated the freshness of ingredients. Next time around I'll probably go for the ramen my colleague ordered that looked delicious! Recently visited Local after attending a concert because it was one of the restaurants that was still opened late. This place is quite a vibe! It's dark inside and is like a sports bar but they also have outdoor seating with fairy lights. Tbh some food items are kinda pricy but delicious. We got the Hawker's street curry which came with roti bread and curry sauce. The roti bread was warm and soft. The curry sauce tasted like a thicker version of Tom Kha which is sweet and sour soup with coconut cream. I also ordered the Local burger with yam fries. Burger was pretty good and filling (it came with two patties). Highly recommend the yam fries! They're perfectly crisp and came with an yummy sauce. Here I am the next day writing this review because I have finally returned and was SATISFIED. This time around I tried to expresso martini and loved it. My boyfriend enjoyed his pulled pork pasta and old fashion. We left fully humbled. Next was the ongoing loop of early 2000 music videos playing on the screens. Please keep that up. Came in with some friends this past weekend on a night out, we pretty much all got burgers, happy hour pricing was pretty good here! Fries were really crispy and tasty, burgers were pretty good with the exception of the sauce that wasn't my favorite. As a group of 4 and it was maybe 10-11pm, we automatically got seated in the bar area so the bartenders were basically the waiters. Now the service wasn't that great and we felt we didn't really get checked in on, it took a bit to get the bill and then we didn't even get the actual bill, my boyfriend just paid and the bartender disappeared without a receipt. I felt that was wrong since the bill was 100+ and no receipt or bill is kinda crazy. Anyway that night I went home and wrote feedback online, got called by the manager within 2 days. Manager was super kind and apologetic, handled the situation really kindly and asked for me to explain the situation from my pov. She listened and cared, I explained and it was ultimately resolved. I really appreciate when managers can understand where customers are coming from and gather information to help their team work better as a whole. The situation was handled really quickly and resolved and they even got some insight for future experiences. How the situation was resolved will definitely have me going back there the next time I go to Seattle! read more

Local is one of my work team's favorite places to go for a quick and casual lunch. With a large variety of food and drinks, there's something for everyone on the menu. My co-workers and I came at 11:30am on a weekday and were lucky to get a table before the big lunch rush at noon. This past visit, I ordered the FISH TACOS (+$19.50) and subbed YAM FRIES (+2) for regular fries. The FISH TACOS came as a set of two tacos and were large and meaty. I was honestly full after eating one taco (plus the fries) and brought the other one home for a midday snack later on. The cod was perfectly battered and came with lettuce, pico di gallo slaw, and a lemon wedge on top with a mayonnaise sauce on the side for dipping. For almost $10 a taco, it's pricey for what you get, even though they are decent-sized. The YAM FRIES were amazing and surprisingly just lightly salted which was perfect for me! They were crispy and just slightly sweet as well. Well worth the substitution in my opinion. Service was excellent and our server was very attentive. She even gave our table free samples of their new non-alcoholic riesling which was a nice touch. In terms of atmosphere, it can get kind of loud at times, but you can still usually hold a conversation at your table. They also have shuffleboard and pool tables available for entertainment.
