If I could give this place less than one star I would, based on One Bartender this evening. We came to Seaside to have a couple of nights away and to decompress from all of the stress that life has been dealing out lately, but Oh My Gosh I still cannot wrap my head around what happened tonight. We had a great first night yesterday on our first day here. With that, we came here (The Bridge Tender) yesterday on 6/2/2022 and had a great evening here. I even won $337.00 on Keno. I tipped the Bar/Waitress (Tamra) $20.00 on top of all of the other tips that I gave that evening. 6/3/2022, Came in just after 5:00 (ish) and opened up a game of pool. Asked for 2 glasses of Pendleton on the rocks which we got. We (both husband and I) love Pendleton. We got our drinks and continued our Pool game. Both of us took a sip after toasting, at the same time. We both made a grimace face and knew that this clearly was not Pendleton. Husband asked our Waitress Tamra who was in full charge that night, if that was what she served us. Her reply was Yes, it came right out of the bottle. Didn't matter, we still knew this wasn't Pendleton. It tasted more like Jack Daniels. After trying to drink the next 2 sips, I just couldn't drink any more (too soapy tasting). I brought both glasses up to Tamra and told her that I wanted to make sure that I still paid for both drinks but wanted to order something else. She muttered something incoherently about not knowing what I'm even talking about, but the Gentleman who was sitting at the Bar heard our conversation and said, "I know what Pendleton taste like", so she poured a shot glass full of Pendleton and he tasted it with a very grimaced face, he said, "Nope, that does not taste like Pendleton." I said out loud, "Tamra, we don't blame you, but someone poured another alcohol into this bottle, it's not Pendleton and we just want to pay for the drinks and order 2 Vodka Soda's." Her reply was this, " NO, you're accusing us of switching alcohols and I don't want to serve you anything else tonight. You don't have to pay for it, but I won't serve you anything else." We Never complained about anything up til this point and we (husband and I) have Never been asked to leave an establishment in our entire life. This was a first, but to be treated like this is Unbelievable as to why we were asked to leave. Should we have drank down this soapy tasting (what ever it was) and just accept what happened which was obviously someone either added a stank whiskey to the Pendleton or they just poured something else in it's place, but either way, we were not confrontational. Worst treatment Ever while on vacation. Tamra was not only inappropriate, but she was out of line and this should not have been tolerated. We should be able to have a conversation about an issue without fear of being tossed out in front of the entire restaurant. I believed that this was at the very least still America and we can aire our differences and work them out. Seriously, we still wanted to pay for the drinks so that she wasn't short on her till, but forget that, I'm starting to feel like she acted more guilty and may have been trying to pull one over on the Owner of this Establishment. read more

Unfortunately we received the same service or lack there of, both times. We got the distinct impression that, "we ain't from round here". The bartender made eye contact with me multiple times and ignored me, pretending she never even saw me. A gentlemen bartender finally asked if we had been served 15min into our second time here. I was about to walk out when we received the offer, so we stayed for one. read more

I absolutely love the bridge tender. Being from Vegas, my standards are high, but this place always has an awesome vibe and was a total surprise. The bartenders are so sweet, the food they offer is bomb, the drinks are super double bomb, and they have a great view of the water. Can't wait to come back. read more

Sooo this has been on my mind since Sunday! I had to process it and process it some more because I couldn't believe a town that my grandma lived in my entire life a town I spent many summers in exemplified this kind of behavior! So I visited Seaside this Sunday and I have or use to have a favorite bar I would always start at the name of the bar is The Bridge Tender I was super excited to show My friend how we always start our time in Seaside which is starting with shots then moving down the boardwalk! We walked in and immediately felt the tension! A guy turned around to us smiled and said hey guys welcome go ahead and have a seat at the table and the waitress will help you he said I use to work here and kinda know how it works. So we're like ok, my friend is already looking at me like where do you have me!? We go to the table and look up at the neon sign that says bar area is for locals only! That's fine we figure small town a lot of tourist so that's understandable but above it said in small writing it said fuck "kooks" so off top I'm like does that say what I think it says!? He is like yep and I don't wanna be here! Before we could walk out a female Bartendar walks over and says this table is for locals only as she spreads her arm across the table now at this point I'm looking at her like I will fuck you up if you touch me! She then point to this table to the very back of the bar that's located in a small dark corner away from everyone else and says that's where you guys will be sitting! We looked at her and was like yea we won't be spending our money here and she was like that's fine have a good day! We walked out literally astonished that we experienced that kinda passive aggressive racism in a town my grandmother helped take care of!!! This town isn't for us and they don't want us there!! We experienced more mistreatment at another restaurant called Finn's Fish House We were forced to wait 30 mins to sit down although there were empty tables that were considered social distancing appropriate. We waited bcus we understand it's a lot of tourist and it was going to be a wait anywhere so as we're seated we see the vacant tables being filled up with other patrons and we were like that's weird all of these tables were empty when we came so we sat and waited for our waitress to bring water and say hello! She walked by 4 times literally swiping our table and said nothing to us however she would get to other tables and perk up!! We finally had to ask who's our waitress and can we get water!? With a passive aggressive attitude she showed up after her male waiter rubbed her shoulders in the beverage area like we were rude or being extra this made me laugh bcus I was thinking if I wanted to be an asshole I'd ruin ur whole day instead we tipped her 18% and decided to never return! This was my experience in Seaside OR if you don't see the issue you are the issue!!! read more

Terrible. We just finished the Hood to Coast relay run and wanted to grab some food and some beers. Figured a bar would be ready to fulfill the desires of hungry and thirsty runners. I was wrong. The bartender appeared to be almost 18 and couldn't remember the 3.5 beers they had on tap. The menu had about 4 things on all of Erich sounded gross. Was tooling around the coast on a nippy winter afternoon. We popped into the Bridge Tender for a pint and a snack. My friend had the chowder- said it was mediocre I had the meatball sub. While it tasted suspiciously like pre-prepared meatballs (maybe sysco or costco) and the hoagie roll was nothing too special, it was well put together, toasted and tasty. The view from the bar over the river was really nice and the service was friendly. Based on the prices and the clientele, I would say this is a good place to pop in and get something tasty to sustain yourself with a pint or three, as long as you're not hoping for anything too fancy. read more

The only reason this place is getting two stars is the bartender. They were out of almost all the vegan options. If you advertise vegan options you should at least have them. My bf got impossible tacos and it was 12$ for two tiny street tacos with salsa, they ran out of tortilla chips and avocado. My vegan blt had one maybe two slices of sweet earth bacon, i could have bought a whole pack of that bacon for 6 bucks and made my own. The fries were completely undercooked but we were hungry so we ate them anyways. The bartender gave us the tacos for free cause they were missing stuff so that was nice but i would never go back. They only have an air fryer and a microwave and the girl making our food didnt have gloves on, and i saw her munching on something while making it. Had the best bartender tonight!!! There were a couple in the bar that was very strange and made a few people uncomfortable. She did a beautiful job of encouraging them to move on, but not make patrons feel bad fir being uncomfortable. Been here a few times as travelers and are always treated well. We tend to order at the bar versus sitting around waiting for table service from the bartender if busy. Friendly atmosphere with lots of locals. We tend to stick to beer and an appetizer. Keep it simple. read more

I guess this is as "divey" as Seaside gets?!? It a little hole in the wall smack dab in the touristy part of town. It's small and dark, two pool tables, drinks were $4 a piece (unsure if that's a happy hour price or regular prices.) employees were friendly and it seemed that the locals hang there. My wife and I have always came to your bar. We also own a business here in town. We come to your bar because we love the view and the locals. HOWEVER, tonight was not the same. There is a new bartender, Amanda. Multiple times she ran into the office, slamming the door behind her, yelling on the phone so loud we could hear her through the door. Also, when we paid we gave her exact cash to cover the tab and a decent tip. But instead of any money going into the till she put it all into a coffee cup next to the till. want a place to get away from the ambercrombie and finch wearing yuppie spawn? then this amazing bar is perfect. we visit seaside often and always make a stop(or 4) at Bridge Tender. its actually on the ocean side of the river and if you are not looking for it you will not even notice its there. low key, easy times, great staff and a wonderful river view on the main drag without the tourists! if you are looking for a bright and shiny place to get a drink go somewhere else. but if you want a place to kick back, relax and not worry if your shirt has the perfect crease then please visit. read more

If you like a turkey sandwich with only turkey and bread then you're in luck. This place has it all.... Watered down beer on "tap" and super classy menus created on Microsoft word. It looks really really good from the outside, but once we sat down and our eyes adjusted to he dim lighting, we realized our mistake. DO NOT go here!
