We were headed to the Bonnaroo Music Festival when it was suddenly canceled the day before due to severe weather. Our trip was literally falling apart before it started. In a moment of desperation, we called Short Creek RV Park. Owner Mike was incredibly kind and understanding, working with us to secure a spot on incredibly short notice. This act of flexibility and hospitality was our first indication we'd found somewhere special. And special it was! The park itself is awesome - beautifully maintained, peaceful, and set in a lovely location. The amenities were amazing; everything was clean, functional, and added to the comfort of our stay. It was exactly the relaxing environment we needed after the festival chaos. But what truly set Short Creek apart was the genuine kindness of Mike and his team. Their welcoming attitude and willingness to help turned what could have been a complete disaster into a genuinely fun and memorable camping trip with friends. We ended up having an extremely good time exploring the area and just enjoying the excellent facilities at the park. It absolutely saved our trip! We cannot recommend Short Creek RV Park highly enough, especially for RVers looking for a friendly, well-equipped, and beautifully kept place to stay with family or friends. It's also located right on a very busy street. You have to pull into some of the spots right off of the main street. It's so loud at night. The check in process is terrible. We got there and there was no one around. We tried to find an office and couldn't find one. I called the number and they said they emailed me (they did not). They gave us our space number and said they would text the WiFi and lock info on the electric. They didn't do that either - I had to call again. It's crowded and just not a nice park at all. I would not recommend staying here.

It's quiet, peaceful, and everyone is incredibly friendly--something we're not used to back home. We brought both our kids, and it was amazing. The view, the complete peacefulness, all of it. The only downside is the internet. We couldn't get it to connect to the TVs in the camper at all and had to use our hotspot. Our hotspot only lasted a night, so if we had stayed longer, I'm not sure what we would have done. Not the end of the world, but definitely a challenge with two kids. We're staying for a full week over the summer, so we'll figure something out!
