I had my brows done at Brow Babes by the owner, Chare'e, and I honestly couldn't be happier! This was permanent makeup (not traditional microblading), and the process was completely painless. Chare'e was so kind, professional, and informative, and she made me feel comfortable the entire time. She is truly an artist -- my brows look so natural and even better than when I try to draw them on myself. I work in healthcare with long 12-hour shifts, and being able to wake up, wash my face, and go without worrying about my brows has been a total game changer. I cannot understand the negative reviews. If you don't/won't/can't follow directions, that is not on Chare'e. With bad aftercare, nothing any tattoo artist does will have a good outcome. The staff is super friendly, the environment is super green, the vibe was chill, the communication was unsurpassed, and the service was everything I wanted. I'm 3 days out, and they look great! I can't wait to see how they look after the 4-week touch-up! I first went to Chare'e for new brows 3 yrs ago. Had never had any type of tattoo. My first impression walking in was that her salon is very inviting and calming. Chare'e is knowledgeable and professional, confident of her work, but very down-to-earth, and I appreciate that she takes whatever time her client needs to feel satisfied with their results. She canceled my scheduled appt hours before I was supposed to be there. She kept my deposit of $106 and then hours later charged me another $212. She had no intention on giving me any of my money back! It's so sad that customer service gets this low, but unfortunately I am a victim of it! I have no eyebrow hairs. Zilch. Nada. Nothing there but dolphin smooth and shiny skin. (i.e. Alopecia) I used to spend 30+ minutes a day JUST on my eyebrow makeup. It was ridiculous, and something had to change. Chare'e the Brow Babe to the rescue! Her and I worked together to create the perfect brow shape for my face. Once a style was agreed upon, she went to work picking the perfect color for my skin tone + type, taking into consideration how it would look as the microshading tattoo healed. The procedure was painless thanks to numbing, and Chare'e is spot on with her sanitation and hygiene techniques. As a nurse with OCD, it's refreshing to see a cosmetic professional take antisepsis seriously. My brows look amazing. I cried when I first saw my face with them. Without makeup on, I look more rested, youthful, and no longer feel like a cousin of Voldemort. When I do wear makeup, it just takes me a few swipes of brow pencil on top of the tattoo for a little extra pizzaz. Just a tip for those of you all considering the procedure: the tattoo process is easy, and Chare'e gives you the tools and education necessary to guide you through the aftercare. DO NOT HALF ASS THE AFTERCARE! As long as you follow the simple instructions (found online and in the little take home goodie bag she gives you) your healing will go smoothly. 12/10 recommend. I flubbed up my first visit today and ended up being ten minutes late- these ladies were gracious enough to still take my appointment and take care of me. Dericka gave me some water and talked to me while she numbed up my eyebrows in the super gorgeous studio (which is filled with tons of plants, by the way). When Chare'e was ready for me, she carefully but quickly mapped out my brows after taking before videos/photos and sat me down in her chair. The process was quick and the discomfort was very minimal! 1000/10 would come again! These ladies were so sweet to me. Once I was finished, Dericka took me to the desk and explained aftercare to me and gave me a small bag with cerave, instructions, and gold wipes. Before I knew it, I was finished! I was recommended to come here by a friend and I'm really glad I did. My eyebrows look amazing and I had a super nice experience. Thank you again, ladies! Also, I would take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. They outline their policies MANY, MANY times regarding cancellations and late fees. You even sign a contract prior to having your procedure done that says you AGREE to the terms. Respect their time and you will not have a problem! They are a small business so when you cancel without notice, they lose money. Think about how you'd feel in their shoes. I was referred to Brow Babes by a friend. I'm told they were having a sale. $299.00. The posted price is $550.00. So I booked my appointment. Just to put you on the calendar cost you $106.00. That $106.00 doesn't go towards anything. That's just a fee in itself. The appointment day comes. I get in there, and everything is good. My brows turned out great. 6-8 weeks later is touch-up time. Most ppl, unless you are light blonde, don't need come to find out. Ok. My brows healed really well. I followed the guidelines to a T. After all this is an investment. The day of touch-up, she says she doesn't see were I need it. Due to the fact my brows healed well. Ok. So until my annual color boost, I'm good. Ok. Great! it's time to leave. I pay again. Touch-ups are $150.00. According to the web site and all the emails. I'm charged $159.00. So I paid in total $564.00. Even if there was no sale. I still was charged more than the original price! Do I regret having my brows done? I do not. Would I do it again? Absolutely! Would I go elsewhere to have it done? Yes I would. It seems there is something happening with charging whatever you feel like in the moment. It's very suspect to me. Brow Babes math ain't mathing! Questionable business practices- canceling/ changing appointments at last minute, not honoring "free" touch up (which was part of the original $450 cost of brows) because she canceled my appointment, and then said I was out of my allotted time frame for the touch up. (Welp, I was out of my allotted time frame because she canceled my original appointment!) So, she then wanted to charge me another full price for new brows, just for the touch up. Anyway, my work was not particularly good, and I did not appreciate the shady behaviors. Do not go to The Brow Babe. Charee Marniece charged me $450.00 to do microblading on my eyebrows. I was told that she had a special going on for 300.00. Once I arrived I was told that since my eyebrows have been done before it was going to be more money. I agreed so I will live with that. However this $450.00 was to include two sessions. I received one session and then scheduled for the second session which was 10 weeks later. Charee cancelled that session and then cancelled two more times after that one. I requested a refund but was told too bad. I guess she thinks its ok to charge people and then not perform the service. Very poor business ethics. Very rude individual and I feel like she is a scammer and a cheat. Go somewhere else! read more

I had a horrible experience with Charee, which I tried to address privately with her, but she had an attorney email me rather than address my concerns. My first appointment, she did not numb me before beginning my lower eyeliner, and she did not warn me she wasn't going to numb me. When I reacted, she said 'oh, we can't numb the bottoms, you'll just blink it in and that would be worse.' I was shocked, and the pain was excruciating, but she had already begun, so I hung in. She then charged me more than what is advertised on the website. THEN, in the second "touch up" session, she proceeded to numb my lower lids, to my surprise. She informed me she had just been to a conference in Vegas and learned she had been doing tattoo eyeliner incorrectly, to my horror. All the pain the first time, for no reason? Again, I was charged more than I was expecting. On top of it all, the eyeliner didn't even take, which she blamed on me when I texted her about it. I requested a refund, multiple times, via email, explaining my numerous reasons, only to ultimately be told by an attorney that I wasn't entitled to one. A truly upsetting way to spend over $600.
