I have been considering cosmetic tattooing for quite some time. A few years actually. A few questions and worries come to mind: what will it look like, what if it's uneven, what if it's too dark, too light. You read horror stories online about people getting permanent makeup done and you're like "what if that happens to me??" Well I took the first step by researching various artists, calling and asking questions. Not really satisfied with the answers and the surprising rudeness I came across from many they call "professionals". And then I came across Theresa and her website (I HIGHLY recommend reviewing. All her work on her page is without a doubt impressive as well as accurate). I decided to give her a call. I have zero regrets. Here's my story; I called Theresa, and let me tell you the amount of friendliness and kindness far exceeded anything I had already experienced from previous phone calls. We literally for almost two hours about what I want done, her education and history and then just random topics. She truly treated me like a human being rather than an addition to her paycheck. I loved it. Just so you all know she does send you emails for before and after instructions; READ THEM. She recommends eating and having plenty of water before which I did not and I regret that. I just got a bit of a headache afterwords but she did warn me that would happen. She also gives lots of advice on how to keep it clean and care for your new permanent cosmetic makeup. Anyway, my fiance went with me and drove me. She offered us beverages when we got there and she put this numbing goo on my eyebrows so it wouldn't be as painful. THANK GOODNESS for that because I just closed my eyes and let her work. But before she did that, the first 30min-1 hour we were there I electronically signed all the wavers (ALSO READ THOSE, just like a regular tattoo it's close to the same questions). Then we took some time to put the eyebrow color together, mixed and matched a few and finally settled on a color. Now, as she was setting up I will admit I began to get cold feet. I became scared, nervous, what if it looks bad? What if I sneeze and jump. A million questions were going through my head and I voiced my concerns and she said " Honey, trust me. You're going to love them when I'm done." Now I have a full tattoo sleeve and well as tattoos in other spots, a septum piercing, a labret piercing, and both nostrils pierced. And she pointed at everything on me and said "do you regret any of those?" No I don't. So I said okay, laid back, and let her start. She first did an outline with no ink just the needle and showed me in a mirror. I voiced that they were a little thicker than I wanted so she redid it and had me look again and it was perfect. Then the coloring began. Now let me warn you, just as Theresa warned me, when she is done they WILL LOOK DIFFERENT than what you want. Not at all like a normal tattoo. I looked like a blind woman who drew on her eyebrows. Theresa DID tell me they will look very crazy and fake for about two weeks, possibly longer depending how your skin heals. If I can give you advice, any advice; DO NOT PICK AT IT WHILE IT HEALS!!! I did not luckily. And they look fantastic. My eyebrows currently look EXACTLY how I draw them on. I had them done probably almost two months ago, going in for my touch up in four days. I have zero regrets. All that time drawing them on every morning. Ugh! Raining? No problem. Swimming? No problem. Sweating? No problem. Woke up late for work and don't have time to draw them on and don't want to draw them on in the car? NO PROBLEM. Theresa has given me more confidence and more time in my morning when getting ready for work. I have zero regrets. If you struggle with your eyebrows like I did for my WHOLE life then go see Theresa! I received a gift certificate last year from my father which expires today, one year from purchase. During my discussion w/Theresa, I informed her I am a nurse who manages/works in multiple hospitals, and have been extremely busy and working long hours daily, during the COVID Pandemic. I informed her I am regularly exposed to COVID + patients and her response was "all my other clients made it." I even informed her I'd show her proof that I am a nurese. She said all she could do for me was give me 1/2 off the price of the amount of my Gift Certificate. She was very rude and unprofessional. The Gift Certificate states it expires one year from date of purchase, yet it does not clarify if you must make an appointment on/before the date it expires or if the appointment must be scheduled and attended. During our conversation she informed me about her discussion she had with my sister, which is very unprofessional and unnecessary. She also returned my call today leaving me a detailed message with very specific information regarding my sister. This is unacceptable as this information should not be shared with me nor anyone else. At the end of our call, due to her rudeness and unprofessionalism, I informed her, I would pay double the price to have someone else do my procedure and will be taking my business and money elsewhere. She clearly does not care about medical professionals, especially during this time of COVID nor the amount of exhaustion we are experiencing on a daily basis. I had scalp micro pigmentation over a series of 4 visits. As a 63 year old woman, I have pretty significant thinning hair from both genetics and from necessary medications. Teresa is wonderful, and a true perfectionist. It took some time, but it was certainly worth it. I am no longer self conscious. I wish I could tell women tactfully what is available now; you would feel so much better! Teresa is a talker, but I was so tired a couple of times and she just let me sleep through it. I went and had my eyebrows and eyeliner done early February by Theresa Judd. Not only does she do amazing work, she has an amazing patience and a very steady hand. I was very scared once the eyeliner tattooing started and she talked me thru it and kept me very calm. Theresa has a gift for this and I have and will continue to recommend her to everyone. I will be going in for my touch up soon and will put a before and after pic up for all to see. I will have to confess its nice to wake up in the morning and already look like I have done my make up, a lil thickness to the brow and eyeliner goes a long way. I bought a teeth whitening session off groupon. When I called the woman right off the bat she was hard to deal with. She asked what time I'd like to come in, and said it was easier if I picked a day to come instead of her giving me her availability, so after giving her a couple days I was free she said I'd need to schedule out two weeks in advance because she's booked up due to her "giving away teeth whitening sessions basically for free" We finally found a day that worked, and after complaining about how she works 24/7 and never gets a day off she then tells me she doesn't know why people can be so DUMB but if you have cavities you should get them filled first. I do have a cavity, and wasn't aware that I would need to address that before hand (it doesn't specify in the groupon deal and I'm not an teeth whitening expert, sorry) When I told her I did have a cavity she very rudely says well don't you think you should spend that money getting your teeth fixed?? Her level of unprofessionalism throughout the entire call was totally unacceptable and uncalled for. I told her I didn't appreciate her rudeness and that I'd like my money back since I would need to get my cavity filled first to which she SCREAMED "I don't have your ******* money" and hung up on me. She called me another 4 times throughout the day after she hung up on me but I never did answer. Groupon was able to give me a full refund and I'm so glad this woman wasn't able to go anywhere near my mouth. What a nutcase. read more
