I have had beer from the Bruery before at their other location in California and it was quite impressive then which was a few years ago. That trend still is solid and on course as I am going to come in with a very high score for the latest beer we had from this brewery at their Meridian location. The beer we had was a barleywine type which is a kind we don't often get but always enjoy when we do. The name of this particular beer was Shake and Date. The flavors to enjoy in this stronger ABV beer is Vanilla, Marshmallow and Dates. That is probably where the name comes in on that last flavor feature. The beer is sweet but more in a natural, evolved (mature) way and the beer is barrel aged so it's definitely going to pack a whallop. The taco truck looked amazing, but I didn't have time to check it out. The beers, however, were a good deal. The coffee I had, which was barely drinkable, was loaded with cinnamon and didn't taste like real coffee. My wife ordered the mango hazy, and it was definitely better than my beer. For my second taster, I tried a double barrel whiskey stout that felt like a rip-off of the Morigan from Barbarian Brewery. The service was lackluster--just a "here you go, next." It wasn't the friendliest experience. The ambience felt like a gathering of mostly white patrons, along with an abundance of beers, which created a chill vibe. read more

First, I love the location of The Bruery. Being kind of tucked away from the the hustle and bustle of either the Village or downtown Meridian makes it a nice location to come and relax and enjoy a drink. The staff are incredibly friendly and they now have The Hood as a permanent food truck location (haven't personally tried it yet). They've got a good amount of seating inside and a great outside patio for dogs and kids to also enjoy. Their specialty is in their barrel-aged drinks which we're personally not into, so my husband gets hazy IPA and I'll get a cider. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of their cider selection and it's not rotating. My husband enjoys their hazy but hasn't marked it off as being one of his favorite. For me, the main thing that stops this place from being a 5 star place is the price. You're paying upwards of almost $10 for a beer which is pretty crazy IMO. For the higher percentage beers, 100% I get it. But I think the IPAs and lower ABV beers should not be that much. I am pretty sure they are the most expensive beers in the valley. read more

The corporate business-park vibe isn't particularly inviting but service is great and beers are crazy. Staff is largely knowledgeable of the tap list. Owner will at times open special bottles and pour free samples. Pretty unique to have a taproom for such a storied 'micro-brewery' in my backyard. Taco Truck is quite good too. read more

This place is THE best!!! Close to the Kiln off of Eagle and Overland. Jimbo and his staff are absolutely amazing! They are very proactive on making sure each and every customer is taken care of. They are so friendly too! I love beer so I have gone to a ton of local breweries in town, but this is by far my favorite. So many selections to choose from. I do a lot of business meetings, both with new prospects and my own internal team. It is a great setting because it is pretty good to carry on a conversation. Not loud at all. Very peaceful! They also got an outdoor patio which is very nice. I can't recommend it enough. If you like beer, you won't be disappointed! read more

The beer was exactly what I expected, unique and good. My friend and I compared our choices and anytime that happens, we're drinking good beer. I was very surprised it was so quiet and empty though. And the price, I don't recall seeing any prices until we got our bill and I was surprised, not in a good way. Hopefully next time the vibe is a little more opening. This is the ULTIMATE Bruery! Best blended beers I've ever had and that's saying something. Wide range of beers but specialize in Imperial Stouts that blend together vanilla, cocoa nibs, and coconut. Sounds crazy, but the flavor is so subtle but just the perfect balance to sweeten it up just a tad. The owner Jimbo is awesome, super friendly and helpful, and the rest of the staff is really great as well.. They do trivia night on Tuesdays and Haley hosts with a great personality with really fun themes.
