My best friend and I went to yard house last night we sat at the bar service was quick and we really enjoyed everything! We started with 10 traditional wings--half BBQ and half Korean. The BBQ wings were absolutely delicious! The Korean wings had great flavor too, but they were a little too spicy for me. We also ordered the truffle fries, and those were SO good! Definitely something I would order again. For my entrée, I had the steak bowl with stir-fried sesame brown rice & red quinoa, mushrooms, snap peas, bok choy, carrots, red onion, baby broccoli, and red pepper flakes. Everything came together perfectly, and the steak made the bowl filling without feeling too heavy. My best friend ordered the cilantro lime chicken, and of course I had to taste a bite . The chicken was so tender and delicious--I completely understood why she enjoyed it! We each had a strawberry margarita, and they were flavorful, refreshing, and the perfect drink to go along with our meal. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great place to grab drinks, enjoy good food, and catch up with your best friend. We had such a nice night out and left very satisfied. Every year in April after the MS Walk we come to the Yard House for lunch. The walk is at the park right behind the Village. This year wasn't any different. We finished our walk and made our way to the restaurant. This will be our 6th year having lunch here. Trying to keep our traditions alive. As a courtesy, we called the day before to let management know that they will be expecting a party of 20. This joint charges 30 bucks per person for reservations as a deposit. 30 bucks?!? It's quite humorous really, 30 dollar deposit is more than a majority of their meals they charge. The manager on duty last year told us to call to let them know for a heads up but not necessarily make a reservation. And of course that manager doesn't work there anymore. The manager I spoke with was a complete joke. "Saturday is our busiest day". We'll, if it's your busiest day than why aren't you properly staffed? "We can't just serve you in 2 seconds". Never have I asked to be served in 2 seconds. What kind of management team do you have running this joint? Clearly unprofessional clowns. We showed up at opening. Clearly I wasn't taken seriously since the hostess had no clue about our large party coming. No tables were set up. "You should have came at 11:30". I didn't know that we had to accommodate to the manager and his timing. He set up our tables and didn't even bother with us the whole time we were there. Food was good. I had the salmon. I had asked for my salmon to be overly cooked. With my new kidney, I can't have anything like fish and beef rare. My fish was not cooked the way I asked and had to be sent back. I expressed to the server if needed out more than well done. So honestly, I don't think the cook took my request seriously. Last year eating at the restaurant was a crap show. This year is a bigger crap show. So many better restaurants in town that don't have this ridiculous reservation fee and yet this joint does. Management here is on the same tier as a trash can. Honestly, after this last visit, we might consider going to another joint to start a new tradition. My family and our money is worth more than the disrespect management gave us. read more

Went for a double date with some friends at Yard House. Overall, most of the dishes were super delicious. We enjoyed the blackened Aji too much so much that we got a second order! The sauce with it was such a great pairing. The queso dip was also super delicious, but thankfully only had a few bites. It's definitely a heavy dish. My partner really enjoyed his Burger as well as my friends. Was definitely juicy as well as delicious with the extra cheese. I was a little disappointed in my dish with the cilantro Lam chicken. I understand that they were trying to make a healthy menu with it but the quinoa cauliflower rice mix was bland and did not have much flavor. I wish there was a bit more of a sauce with it. The chicken also turned out very dry. But the Oreo brookie was definitely delicious. It is very big and was glad that we shared that amongst the four of us. I would say that if I come back to Yard House, I would maybe be hesitant to get something on their healthy side because it seems like some of those may need some tweaks before being good but overall their appetizers and the drinks were very delicious read more

I've always liked the art house but today I ordered a appetizer for a lunch meal. It was the lettuce wraps very small portion, which would not feed sharing appetizer during the day nor myself. I was told by the server that they're small because they have them on the happy hour menu from 3 to 6 and that's the size because they only charge 750 well daytime should be a better serving for $15 in my opinion not enough to feed even a small person like myself, so I am leaving this bad review because of this not the waiter for the server. My husband and I stopped in for dessert and a drink on New Year's Eve. Yes, it was a busy night, but we were already out for the evening and were prepared for a wait. We were seated in under 10 minutes at a central table, which was great because we could watch all the games. We planned to stay for a couple of hours and ring in the new year. Unfortunately, after our server took our food and drink order, she disappeared. The table next to us who arrived after we did received their drinks before us. Another server brought out our desserts, but we still had no drinks. Our server walked by and said they would be coming shortly, but they never arrived. We actually received our check before ever getting our drinks. It's too bad we didn't have the server that the table next to us had. The food and a service is typically great. However, today, they were out of ice tea - the only beverage we drink at restaurants. The server said that it would take him at least 40 minutes to brew a batch of tea and that he would need to use the tiny little tea bags. This was a definite effort on his part to discourage us from requesting to wait for the tea. Since we are avid tea drinkers, we chose to leave and didn't get the pizza and burger we had both been craving. Maybe we will return, maybe we won't. Chose the two taco plate. Tried the Korean taco for the first time and it was just ok. Didn't win me over and wouldn't try again. Now, the fish taco on the other hand, was much better. Yard House is always pretty consistent, so you can typically count on food that comes out relatively quickly and flavors that are fun. I love Yard House and since we haven't been in over a year, we felt it was time for a visit. Even though the place was only 1/3rd full, it took a bit to be seated. The servers were rushing by our table with food and drinks constantly...they hustle! Once we were seated, it took almost 10 minutes before someone came to our table. Luckily, we were able to place our drink and lunch order and drinks appeared immediately after ordering, so that was very appreciated. I ordered the two taco combo with a Vampire carnitas taco and beer battered fish taco. Hubby had the classic cheese burger. Once our food was dropped off, we didn't see our server for 20 minutes. The vampire taco is a cheese crusted tortilla (crave worthy) with soft carnitas smothered in garlic, guacamole, bacon, salsa and sour cream. Nothing to complain about here...every bite tasted better than the next. It was fresh and a little spicy. The beer battered fish has guacamole, cabbage, sriracha aïoli, spicy salsa macha, cilantro...and the fried pollock is tender, just almost too big for the tortilla. It definitely has a kick to it, but unfortunately for me, my Diet Coke was gone and I didn't see my server until my nose was running and my food was sitting in my throat. Beans and rice are just ho-hum, I almost regretted getting a combo. Hubby loved his burger...huge, perfectly cooked and juicy patty. Tasted just like a backyard BBQ burger. Only drawback was that the cheese wasn't melted on the burger; it was odd eating cold to lukewarm cheese. The slow service and cold cheese pushed our meal from a 5 to 4, but in reality it really wasn't our server's fault. They stacked her station pretty full with large parties. It didn't look like they had the seating to server ratio right, especially with the large volume of servers working. read more

So, second time here in two months, and the first visits since we moved from SoCal in June. We came on the Tuesday after a Friday Valentine's Day to celebrate our first Idaho Valentine's Day a little later to avoid the crowds. Arriving about 5 pm, we were told that we could have a table right away or wait 20 minutes for a booth. We chose to wait. In fact, we waited about 5 minutes and scored a really nice booth, away from other people, perfect for conversation. Our server was Ariana, and she did a wonderful job of taking care of us. She was pleasant, attentive, and efficient. Of course, we had our usual: Lobster Noodles for my wife and Jambalaya for me. I had my usual House IPA and my wife had a yummy cocktail. The drinks arrived promptly and the food in a very timely way. For dessert, we shared the Brookie. What a perfect addition to the Water Street area. The place looks great, with a modern decor and great bar area. Also great outdoor seating for when it's not 100 degrees. Service was great but the food was the star. My wife loved the tacos, my niece had the giant Korean steak which was as beautiful as it was buttery soft. I had a basic bar b Que burger which actually stole the show. It was the perfect ratio of all the ingredients. The bar Que sauce added a hint of sweetness to the bacon and perfectly grilled meat.
