I am not one to write reviews, but I am so impressed, I feel I owe it not only to The Bumperman team but also my fellow Santa Claritians. Everyone needs to know about this place. Firstly, the owner and his manager were very courteous and professional, knowledgeable and they root for the customer. I had a parking lot small scrape by unknown driver (I just found my car bent and scratched). I sought guidance from the dealership I leased the car from and they recommended Bumperman. At Bumperman, they assessed the repair costs (I had two scratches and one bend I did myself, apart from the accident. They threw in the two unrelated scratches for free ($800-$1000 value). How do I say this.... DON"T judge but .... my car was filtyhy inside, full of dog hair, as my white German Shepherd is shedding like crazy this time of year. They returned the car fully detailed inside, not to mention my garage smelled like bubble gum a couple days after, from the wax and polish they used. This was the second bonus I have gotten from them. Throughly impressed with the service at The Bumper Man. I called at 930am about my car issues and they said to bring my car over. My drivers side door latch mechanism was broken so it wasn't registering that my door was closed - therefore my door wouldn't stay closed. I came in at 10am, they looked at my car, figured out the issue within 5 minutes. They didn't have the part my car needed but luckily the dealership did so they drove over and picked up the part. Had to battle to get decent work done. I took my car in to dial in the fitment in a carbon fiber trunk I had installed and also to have it sprayed with clear coat since it had faded away. What they estimated to be finished by the same day ended up taking 2 additional days, which I was fine with. But when I went to pick it up, I instantly noticed red paint chips imbedded inside the clear coat. I pointed it out and they said it would take an extra day to fix. Ok. I picked it up the following day and they had the audacity to brag about how good their work turned out. I asked for a price adjustment my the inconvenience and I got guilt tripped in to understanding how difficult it was to do their job. No shame and misplaced pride in their work. read more

Let me start by saying my bumper was repaired beautifully. That's the why I gave the 2 stars. But they get zero stars from me for customer service. The service I received reminds me why people don't trust the auto repair industry in the first place. My 3 year old battery with a 5 year warranty was dead and would not hold a charge when I arrived to pick up my car. No one told me. And I'm sure they knew because they had to jump my car. I'm certain it had to be jumped for them to move it to the front of the shop that morning. But they were going to let me drive off and be stranded. Noe took me to AAA and tried to tell me batteries only last 1 to 2 years and that's why my battery was dead. Instead of maybe admitting they left the hatchback open too long or something similar. To add insult to injury, my windshield was also chipped. Noe said he had pictures of it when I dropped it off and showed me pictures on his computer of a Honda Fit windshield. He insisted he could see the chip in the before photo. I insisted it wasn't there. He should have been embarrassed for tying to lie to me about seeing a chip in the photo of a Honda Fit that wasn't even my car! I could see the steering wheel had a cheetah cover. I have no cover on my steering wheel. AND the photo he was saying was my car and had a chip in the windshield was from 2022. I saw the time stamp. When I said they way he was treating me only made me belive even more he knew the damage happened at his shop, he kicked me out and said he was done with me. That he helped me for an hour extra with my battery. (The one he let completely drain?!) This isn't even all of it. I don't want to get into the details of a worker there calling me about my rental car and how Hertz called him to find out when I was returning the rental. Strange. Weird. More lies. What is the most disconcerting, is all the great reviews people are giving here. The referral I got in the first place was glowing in terms of service and the work they do. I wish I had gotten the same service. This leaves me only one explanation as to why I got such poor treatment. I don't say lightly when I say I believe he had some bias toward me as a black woman. It's unfortunate this could be a possibility. And saddens me greatly. I do not recommend! read more

The hood of my car had major oxidation issues, and it desperately needed to be repainted. I reached out through Yelp, and got a quick response with a reasonable quote of $600. I stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon and met with Rob- he explained exactly what would be done and told me I could pick up my car by that Saturday, or Monday at the very latest. Before I left, I mentioned that I was going to get my car fully detailed after the roof was repaired. Rob told me that the shop offers detail services, and even matched the price of the detail quote I received from a local car wash($200). My car was finished by Friday afternoon! A few scheduling mishaps prevented me from picking up my car until Monday but once I did, I was incredibly happy with the results. It looks and smells like I just drove it off the dealership. Rob, was so accommodating even when I had to delay picking up my car. He really prioritized my car and my experience; so much so that I'll return to The Bumper Man for any future car needs. Was in an accident on my way to a job in NV. From the name and reviews alone, I thought "it's The Bumper Man - if he can't fix it, nobody can!" And I was right. Another place said they couldn't fix it so I brought it to them and I'm so happy I did. They worked with me on pricing (since I'm in between gigs) and my schedule. And they helped me get a rental to use in the meantime. I was quite shaken by the whole accident and they were so patient, kind and understanding. Every single person I dealt wwent out of their way to make sure I was good and happy. Thanks guys! From the bottom of my heart, just so appreciative. My Big Bertha minivan is looking mighty sexy again thanks to y'all. Updating my review: they knew I had to drive to a job 8 hours away immediately. Maybe that's why they rushed and missed some obvious things - for instance, the headlight they installed (which Rob checked - not me - before I left) was SO dim, I was pulled over and told to fix it the very day I had picked up my van. A couple of lug-nuts were missing from the tire they put on (I drive on many bumpy dirt roads so this could've been a huge issue had wheel just come off). And radiator fluid seems to be leaking which is another item they fixed. The fluid for the windshield wipers are now backwards which is annoying (the front's fluid is where back should be and vice versa). I need to take some mechanic classes because these were all obvious things that had anyone just done a cursory quality check, they would've found . You just can't trust mechanics apparently so double check their work! Or bring someone who knows cars to make sure they did it rug I was just called to change my review back to its original 5 stars. And instead of acknowledging my problems, they're telling me that I'm wrong. Apparently they told me I could only use my high beams to drive (ummmm.... no. I told them I needed at least the headlights - low beams were ok to neglect due to budget). What's a pretty headlight if I can't drive at night? I'd rather have it be functional in the right way instead of wondering what else I'm going to find wrong next. Missing lug-nuts on a wheel could've been dangerous. I don't appreciate being called and gaslit as if I asked for windshield fluid to be connected incorrectly and wheel half secured and headlight not working. read more
