I ordered the Flying Pizza Burger--Texas toast, marinara, cheese, beefy goodness. The onion rings? Breaded with Krusteaz and fried in beef tallow--exactly like my friend used to make back in the day at Burger Master. Perfect! Pro Tip: Ask for the Brown Cow--Rootbeer + soft serve. Off-menu. Fantastic. It was so good, I even brought a Flying Pizza Burger and rings to my 84-year-old mom. Brought her right back to her high school days. Amazing burger spot in Great Falls! They grind the meat in house and you can tell! Love that they have all these different burger options plus they make their sauces in house. Crispy fries to go along. One in our party had a shake and it was really tasty! We didn't have drinks, so I can't speak to that. Love all the memorabilia decorating the shop, too. I met John, the owner and he told me about the memorabilia, including military pictures, and a special tribute sign from the previous restaurant, called Lily's...The restaurant was very cool, had a second restaurant ("Grinders"), and really great staff of kids. The food was great tasting. However, remember that whatever the description of the burger entails that is the full amount of items that are on the burger (e.g. if the burger does not say it comes with lettuce, pickles, onions-the trimmings- it's because the burger does not come with them and only comes with what's under the title of the burger). On to the burger! I purchased the B-52 which was a mushroom burger. First, like I said, it only came with the cheese, mushrooms, and sauce that the description entailed. Second, the patty was as thin as a McDonald's patty. However, they do give a copious amount of fries. I would not tell anyone to avoid the restaurant. Stopped today for lunch. We are visiting family in Great Falls. The older gentleman who came from the back was less than happy to be there. We were unaware that it was order first then sit. When my husband said there are two of us the older gentleman said "Step up", no "Oh, you order first". He seemed very standoff-ish so my husband waited for me to return from the bathroom. The thin patty needs to be the star of the show, and it plays second fiddle to the fresh ingredients and unusual options. Their offerings, although flavorful, owe their success to the toppings... something I can easily duplicate at home. If they used a thicker burger and a more enticing bun, this place could excel. The fries served with the burger are plentiful and very good. The facility was clean and the service good. Went for lunch today and purchased my burger at 12:07. I sat for 35 minutes before I got up and asked about my food. I was told it will be out in a minute. Well, I ran out of time as I used My whole lunch hour in this place just to eat downtown at a different place. WOW. Unbelievably rude manager. Ordered for delivery and only got half the order delivered. Called to speak with manager and he didn't give a rats ass we had an issue. Not only was the order only half delivered the food was barely edible and cold. Won't be ordering again for delivery not will we go in to eat. You were ZERO compassionate about the situation and more rude than anything. I totally wanted to like this place. A little divey- my fav. Cool menu- looks tasty. Cheap-hell yes! It had good fries and good sounding burgers but they are frozen patties that are super pressed. That's a deal breaker for me. The meat was poor quality and when you're serving burgers, that should be the star of the show. Bl, this is indicative of Montana food.... This place wouldn't survive anywhere else. My recommendation to the owners is to buy fresh meat and cook it to order. Don't worry, we'll wait if it's good! Wow is all I can say.... I've been waiting to try this place for awhile now. And lucky me.... today was that day. I was greeted right away. Told the nice cashier it was a 1st for me. And asked what was her fav. She said the "B52" . Then asked if I liked mushrooms? Told her yes as a matter of fact. So that's what I had. Again....wow. It's not like the normal mushroom burger. Not all sloppy with gravy. But sloppy with mushroom sauce (white) and a good amount of mushrooms and cheddar melty chedder! And surprisingly guick (15 min) but I was here when it wasn't very busy.
