This is a great place if you want some burgers or fries, it's their specialty! their poutine is id say the best i think i've ever ate when it comes to non home cooked food, but other than that their food portions are huge and their food is great! the service was amazing as well, they came and took my tray without me having to ask, i notice that they actively take the ketchup bottles and refill them, the interior is really cool! its burger themed and they have posters and pictures of burgers which is fun, ambience is cool and its overall a pretty well designed place. i would definitely eat here if you have 10-50$ read more

This is one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had the pleasure of devouring. I was never a big fan of chili on burgers, and than I had their Deluxe Mini Burger with Cheese and Chili. It made a convert of me, so much I went back three more times over the next 2 weeks. May not seem like a lot of repeat visits but for me, this is huge. Service is quick and they are very friendly bunch, can't say enough about them. As for the ambience, it takes me back to what a burger establishment used to be like Cozy and quaint. This is going to continue to be a favorite of mine for years to come, and I owe it all to A to Z, Schism's review on you tube. have tried a few of his recommendations now and he is bang on everytime. read more

The poutine's gravy here is one of the best I've ever had. It's thick and not liquid like. Delicious authentic gravy flavor. The fries were good and the cheese curds were delicious. They only have small or large portions for the poutine. Small seemed a bit too small but they do fill the container till it overflows. My friend and I went with the large size and I ate what I could and took the rest home with me. They also have limited edition milkshakes like pumpkin for autumn and who knows what for Christmas. I really want to come back here to try them! This food joint wasn't packed but people did stop by a lot to order burgers. I think this joint is a neighborhood favorite. The inside of the restaurant is kind of small though. Not many people can sit inside. They also have a vegetarian burger option that I almost chose to eat, next time I'll try it with a milkshake. And I was told that this place is family owned. I love eating at local Winnipeg businesses. read more

+.5 for service Gonna offer a different approach to this burger joint. It's certainly popular and everyone seems to really enjoy the burgers here. However I feel it's a bit of an acquired taste to enjoy their burgers. The menu is what you expect, with the deluxe cheeseburgers being your typical fatboys. I had the double deluxe cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake, which amounted to around $12. I was told this is one of the best burger places in Winnipeg, however I liked VJ's better. The buns and patty were too soggy for my liking, and while I understand I shouldn't complain given the prices, all the other burgers I've been to in Winnipeg didn't have burgers nearly as soggy as this. The chocolate milkshake was pretty good though, I'll give them that. Service was indeed excellent. However until I try Red Top, Dairi Wip, and the likes...I probably won't come back for the time being. read more

This has been a favourite in the past but last couple if times not so much. Food is cold. We call ahead and come to pick up at the time we are told. It was 20 minutes this time. The worst is the workers lolligagging around like they have all the time in the world and do NOT wear gloves. Handle food bare handed. One girl had long fake nails. Came in to get dinner and there were two young girls working. They didn't seem to care about the quality of food or the customers. Ordered 2 burgers one of them was the double cheeseburger and when I got it it was extremely messy all the chilli wasn't even on the burger. We tried eating inside but we had to leave because the girls cooking were singing Christmas songs abnoxiously loud an it was disturbing so we had to leave. First of let me say what a Great location now as for the Food it was 6/10 in my opinion, and I would suggest not going during peak hours, the wait time when we went was over 40 minutes for three double hamburgers and one fries. .. milkshakes are nothing special in fact ours were so melted that we just threw them away it was like flavored cold milk. My wife and another couple are from out of the country and this place was amazing. The owner was so welcoming and great. I have celiac disease which eliminates many things I can eat and the owner did everything he could to accommodate me. I highly suggest this place to anyone, the food was amazing. read more

The actual taste of the beef is good. But that's about all I can say. Every time I go there they screw up my order. And all I get on it is mayo and ketchup. Apparently that's too complicated for them. Not sure how one confuses mustard for mayo, but leave it to The Burger Place. It's very unfortunate. The worst part, is I only have the option of going every couple of months. Well, in the last four months I have craved this burger so badly, twice. Don't get me wrong, George's on st Mary's is decent, Dairy whip is decent, The red top os even pretty good....but none of them compare to The Burger Place. Best burger place in Winnipeg. Honestly, I've been to VJ's, Mrs Mike's, and George's by St Vital mall, and I don't understand what the hype is for the others. Don't get me wrong, their burgers are better than average, because they add chili to them. But, they are all seriously under seasoned!!! If you want to taste well-seasoned burgers, you have to try the deluxe at Burger Place. This is the only one in Winnipeg that I have actually enjoyed. The more famous ones are only "good" because offer popularity... but, do an honest taste test, and you'll taste the difference. Also love their poutine and fries and gravy! It always rides on the gravy, and the Burger Place gravy rocks. Can't comment on other dishes as we lived in St Vital, and the trek is far, so we always come back here for the same: deluxe and the poutine. We now live in California, and this is the only place in Winnipeg that we always visit when we come into town. It's soooo good! read more
