Black Truffle Smash (crispy onions, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, black truffle aioli)
    Lailah J.

New City, NY - I had this new-ish burger joint bookmarked after hearing good things, so when I found myself in the neighborhood on a random weekday, I seized my chance for a late lunch. The headliner is their double smash burger, available in a variety of decadent flavor combos (upgrade to wagyu for $3.99 more if you're feeling fancy). But the menu also boasts chicken sandwiches, wings, hotdogs, milkshakes, specialty fries, and even a chopped cheese sandwich. I went with the black truffle smash, and while the flavor is on point, for a place banking on "smash" burgers, these patties could've been...well, smashier. I also forgot to specify medium rare and got something closer to medium well, but that's on me. The cheese fries, however, crushed it. The space is bright and clean, and staff was very friendly. Solid first date, will definitely see them again. 4.5 stars.

We got the burger box and I was not disappointed! We ordered online for pick up and everything was ready as soon as we got there. The burgers are juicy and filling, the chicken sandwich is now in my top list. I'm a huge fan of dipping sauces, and there's is no shortage of that here. Spot sauce was my favorite for my fries, but definitely recommend trying them all! Inside was clean and bright. The employees were pleasant and helpful. I will be back!

The Burger Spot is definitely the spot for burgers. Great menu with burger items beyond what you're thinking of. Great shakes and open until 2am for your late night craving. This is the place for great burgers.

Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the burger here! Service was friendly - this is more a fast casual place. Order at the counter and get a number for them to bring the food out to you. I did struggle with the temperature being too cold but overall I will be back for a burger (but will ask for my bun not to be smashed!)

The Burg Loft hit me with some lofty burgsquirt this time around. So lofty and luscious that I had to return to update my review. I rarely do that, it's so rare that you'd call it raw. Hit em with a claw. Chomping down at the jaw I roar a raw roar of surprise and roar so joyous in nature that it reminds a chicken that it was once a Tyrannosaurus rex. Always remember who you really are under that grease ball facade you keep. The years have served ya well, Burger Loft. This classic was scrumptious. One of the best double smashed I've had. Not overly salty, not overly greasy, not too crisp, not undercooked, super juicy, great taste, perfect amount of cheese and a nice homemade sauce on a solid but undemanding bun. I love an undemanding bun that deserves some funk and crunk out of some quality meat. Woof woooooooooof. Awooooooo. Oh no. The blue moon beckons me. I must wrap this up quickly - You won't like me when the clock strikes midnight. Simple. Traditional. A classic. Burger Loft - A true BILF. A fine wine. It was nice to see you again, babe, and I hope you thought the same. Price to quality ratio is a 5 star... tastiness itself still a Yelp 5 rounded up. I'm proud of you - be proud of yourself. We ordered the mushroom burger and fish tacos along with all of their dips and fries to share. Fries were perfect - crispy, soft, and seasoned properly. I loved all the dips but the truffle aioli was my absolute favorite. Mushroom burger was made very well, full of mushrooms and the patty was juicy and cheese was gooey. I do wish there was slightly more seasoning on it; perhaps some more salt. The fish tacos were delicious, there was a lot of slaw but I appreciated it. I do think that while the fish was fried perfectly, I would have liked a larger piece of fish. The slaw to fish ratio was slightly off. The corn that came on the side w the fish tacos was amazing and fresh and a great idea. I think it can even be dressed up and presented as an elote option. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here. If you are in the area definitely check this place out.

Not too sweet nice remarkable coconut notes that are not overwhelming... even keel. Reminiscent of Guinness.... All the things a stout should be. Since I was in the mood for a birthday beer... Morning Oats had to be tabled (butI will return for it). I also had Circle Back (Pilsner) which was awesome - Brian's recommendation (the beer whisperer). It was a wonderful experience. First impression walking in, the place is beatifully decorated. It is tasteful and elegant yet inviting and family friendly. My first stop was to the restroom and I gotta say, the place looked spotless which gives you a sense of confidence in the cleanliness of the environment. I also noticed that it is a very large and open space which would be a perfect venue to celebrate any occasion as a big group. When I walked in I noticed that it was a lively and warm ambiace tha makes you feel comfortable to be there. The food: The food was great! Very tasty and fresh. I had the big boy burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was delicious and tho I knew it included jalapeños, I was surprised at how spicy it was. When I looked, it had big pieces of jalapeños w some seeds. No wonder it was too hot, not the jar jalapeños. I took some of it out and enjoyed the whole thing. I didn't finish my fries because they were soggy. No crunch at all. My date on the other hand, ordered a churrasco with yuca fries. The bartender messed up his order and brought him what is called "Portuguesa Churrascaria" which includes grilled skirt steak, pork chop, chicken, and chorizo with moro rice and sweet plantains. Tho it was not what he ordered, he was glad they served him that. It was delicious. It was nicely seasoned, nicely plated and overall very satisfying. Big serving! The yuca fries was dissapointing as I was expecting more of the typical latin crunchy yuca fries where it is first boiled and then fried. This was more like yuca puree, breaded and fried...think mozzarella sticks. Overall this place is worth visiting. Bring your date, bring your friends, bring yo mama, bring your kids, impress your clients...whatever! just visit, you wont regret it. Staff, very friendly and attentive and Plenty of free parking outside!

As others have noted, they just expanded to include dinner hours some days, but we showed up for lunch and were seated right away. Menu isn't super huge, so I settled in the Burger area and noticed right away the price discrepancies. Deluxe burgers (with fries) typically cost $2 more than regular (without). Except the pizza burger costs $3 more and the cheddar chili burger costs $1 more. Dear Little Diner: Fix that. Make the fries $2 and call it a day. Once I discovered my ladyfriend was ordering a dish that automatically came with fries even though she didn't want them, I decided I would just order a regular. Bacon & Bleu Cheeseburger, add avocado. I love those flavors, but here's another problem in the menu. It says: (1/2 Ib. Burger) Made from 100% Pure, Fresh Beef Served w/ Cole Slaw, Pickles, Lettuce & Tomato Deluxe Served w/ French Fries. Add Avocado 1.99 And then under the list of burgers: Burger Add-Ons Bacon, Avocado or Sautéed Mushrooms $2.99 Extra So which would it be? I asked and the waitress said $1.99, so I went for it. Turns out that, as I rather suspected, the avocado was billed at $2.99. Maybe - MAYBE - it's $1.99 if you order it with the fries, but why only the avocado? I brought this up and they agreed to cut the $1 off my bill since the menu indeed has this ambiguity. They were very nice about it, so just maybe that was put back into their tip. (: So, dear Little Diner: Also fix that. Just delete the little Avocado bit at the beginning. Ambiance: Nice breakfast place. Service: Very friendly and accommodating. Food: Worth coming back for. The only drawback is inconsistent menu pricing... so just ask if anything is unclear. I'll have to come back with a breakfast hankering next time and try that side of the menu.
