You can tell he cares about the customers and the neighborhood, and that kind of leadership shows throughout the entire place. His sons and the rest of the staff are just as friendly and helpful. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It's the kind of place where you're treated like a neighbor rather than just another customer. I was DELIGHTED to discover via their website that they sold beef slices (thinly sliced top round) for rouladen. Rouladen is a german dish that's part of my partner's Christmastime tradition. So, thanks to Knight's -- we were able to celebrate/maintain some kind of tradition! I ordered 12pcs and it came in two packages of 6 pcs each (~3lbs) at $12.99/lb. We were able to cut each piece in half so next time, I'll just order 6 pcs or 1 package! I called a couple days in advance for a Christmas Eve pick up and it was pretty seamless! Knight's Market is pretty easy to miss as it's a nondescript gray building, but worth a visit for an order ahead specialized meat order. If you need something immediately, the butcher inside Sparrow Market may be better as Knight's Market is relatively small and only has more common types of meats/cuts stocked regularly.
