Carl saved me a green papaya so I can make my Gaeng Som Pla (Southern Thai water-based yellow sour curry with fish and thin-sliced green papaya wedges), Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad), and bought a Filipino ginger soup for which I will also utilize the green papaya. I love going to this store. The young man that has been there every time I've gone (Happi's son) is always eager to help and very pleasant to talk to. I have to say I was a bit surprised the last time I went that they didn't have yellow curry paste on seasoning. Nevertheless I did find other things I needed and a few that I didn't know I needed such as fried rice seasoning. Big variety and it adds so much flavor to my fried rice. Just walking by I saw the grand opening sign during my visit to a family member, decided to go and take look to see what is new in Asian food and grocery. Once we stepped in we heard a big (welcome in) from the cashier after few seconds she offered us a free sample of Asian cookies , it was delicious. Ellen walk us through all the shelves , bread, drinks, ice cream, snacks, and a lot of Asian food. Everything it was very new and fresh. I do recommend this place to everyone to enjoy the hospitality and buying a fresh grocery. read more

My favorite market to shop! I finally can find all the items I previously ordered for exorbitant prices at a much more affordable price and readily available. It's wonderful to have an Asian grocery shop in Taylor! I just moved to the area and was relieved to see a store like this opening close by. The other Asian grocery shops I've been to have been a bit of a drive and this one is just so convenient. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It is a small shop but I was able to find a few pantry staples and my favorite white rabbit candies. They have a great selection of seafoods, dumplings, fresh noodles, etc. in the freezer section. It is a mix of foods from different Asian countries- I bought Chinese, Japanese, & philipino, Thai food products on my last visit. Thank you, Happi! read more
