    The Classic

The Cabin was a cozy spot to grab some dinner with friends while in town recently. It was pretty early so it wasn't busy, but I bet this place gets crowded for karaoke, live music, and Sunday Funday specials. The vibe inside is what you might expect--rustic and cabin-like. Our server was really sweet and gave us plenty of time to catch up and browse the menu. We started with an order of cabin sticks, which are cheese filled breadsticks. Their ranch is famous apparently (you can get a giant container of it to take home), and it was pretty tasty. I liked that the cabin sticks were cut into chunks so it was easy to share with the group. Nate and I got the classic pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, onions, black olives, and mushrooms. Our food came out quickly and the pizza was completely covered with toppings! The crust was thicker than I typically prefer, but it was needed to hold up all those toppings. The sauce wasn't too sweet and the medium size was perfect for us to have some left over for the next day. If you're craving pizza, definitely check out The Cabin!

Ambiance was on point for what they are going for, service was very good, food was fresh and very yummy, karaoke was okay... not the best. Cleanliness was fair for what it is. Overall I think 5 stars and the food really hit it out of the park on this one.

Pizza and service was outstanding. Was visiting Campus and The Cabin was even more fun than when I went to school there in the mid 90s.

It's has a classic cabin interior feel. The wait staff was extraordinary, quick and attentive. The pizza here was great. Flavorful dough with just the right amount of chew, great sauce and the toppings were plentiful and delicious. If I had to pick something wrong it would be the crust could have cooked another 90 seconds it was slightly doughy but still among the top 20 pizzas I've had!

Not the same old Cabin. The service was slow and took forever for food to come out. Food was not made as ordered and the bottom of grinder was burnt. The bathroom didn't have any soap in it. We did complain about the sandwich not being made right and got an "oh I'm sorry". Overall bad experience. It's a typical college bar, lots of graffiti everywhere. I most likely won't be back, it was good back in the day but gone downhill considerably.

    Graffiti

MIGHT be good if you're already drunk or stoned!! First off, we realized too late that it was a college bar and went in with an open mind.. but the graffiti that they allow all over the walls and ceiling was off putting!! Their bathrooms are not clearly marked and are gross and graffitied just like the rest of the bar!! There's a design that looks like the wonder woman symbol upside down and right side up for the men and women's bathroom... there's not enough booths and a ton of tables. I would've preferred a booth seat. The waitress comes. She's nice she's polite gets our order. We ordered a beer and a martini and they were good. We got the cabin chips and a pickle pizza. But our appetizer didn't come out till the pizza did!! which took forever.!!! The cabin chips are literal lays chips with bacon and cheese on them. Your standard stoner nachos you eat at 1 AM in your Dorm.. these chips were the only saving grace they were The only thing that had flavor !! The pickle pizza had no taste or sauce. We had to dump the ranch from the chips on it to get any sort of flavor !! P.s the ranch was the best part of this meal!!! The waitress kept checking in on us to the point of being obnoxious till we actually needed her! she never asked if we wanted more drinks, even though they were completely empty!! She wouldn't bring us our check or ask if we need a box for our food.. we could not find our waitress. Finally, we spot her she has joined what are the parties and was socializing with her friends instead of doing her job!!! I tried to go talk to the bartender nobody was there either!!! After a while the bartender came back, so I walked up and I said I've been waiting at least 20 minutes for our waitress to bring us our check. Can you get her to come serve our table we don't even know where she went. Oh wait, never mind she's right behind me socializing instead of doing her job!!" I do not agree with or condone, dining and dashing but if I did, I would've definitely diner dash on this meal ticket!! we paid in cash down to the literal last penny, and did not leave a tip and will not be back !!!

The carry out pizza was not edible. It was raw and should not have been served. Probably the worst pizza ever. Horrible

We met up on a weekday around 5:30 and it was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The booth we sat in was comfy and spacious. The menu is pretty typical brewpub fare, with sandwiches, salads, pizzas, etc. We started with the Hunter's sticks, which are cheese stuffed breadsticks, served with ranch and marinara. These came out first and I liked that they were cut into pieces for easy sharing. The breadsticks were a bit harder than I might have preferred (I was hoping for something closer to a soft Bosco stick) but they were still tasty. The ranch was particularly delicious. For dinner I ordered the steakhouse salad, medium rare. Nate got the Cajun chicken club sandwich and our friend got a crispy chicken wrap. The sandwiches and wraps come with either chips or fries, and our server told us that there's no up charge for fries, which is nice and not that typical. This is also a brewery so Nate tried a couple of their beers and seemed to like them. They also have a full bar. The food was quite tasty! I liked the salad although it was pretty salty, probably the bleu cheese dressing. There was a generous amount of steak and it was cooked nicely. I had a couple bites of Nate's sandwich and I thought it had great flavor. Overall this is a nice neighborhood spot that I'd come back to, since their menu is pretty large and it seems like there's something for everyone.

As the 10 of us completed our arrival, our waitress Anna, continued to become more and more negative/rude. We waited around 10-15 minutes for drink refills (alcohol, soda, lemonade, etc.) almost every time and that was even if we could get Anna's attention to ask for drinks. I approached the manager regarding this and he gave me the excuse they are busy. I mentioned Anna's poor attitude and was given the excuse, again, it's busy. The whole restaurant only had 7 other tables. Receiving our food order took 30+ minutes. I ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer and the chips were stale. Anna took so long to return that the dip was cold, our food was finally being delivered, where I sent the plate back. She tried to charge me for the dip, and when I told her to take it off my tab, she said she had to ask her manager. Needless to say no one from our party will be returning.

I got the alpenglow and Nate got the spicy margarita. Both were delicious and beautiful. We also got some happy hour snacks - the dijon sesame salad and the savory cream cheese wontons. Their happy hour is a great deal and I'd love to come back soon for that again. The salad was fresh and a big portion to share. The raw diced onion wasn't my favorite addition to the salad, but I did love the overall flavors. The savory cream cheese wontons were absolutely delicious - definitely very savory and crispy. I'd get these every time! The vibe inside at happy hour was pretty quiet but it can get packed as it's not a huge space. It was very hard to communicate with the server due to the noise. The actual menu is a lot smaller then what is shown on their website. Especially fish options. I had grouper tenders which were small and mostly breading. Not worth it. Fries were excellent. Tartar sauce appeared to be pure mayo, no sign of relish or lemon at all. Ketchup, mustard, and salt were the only condiments on the table, not sure if anything else was available, like cider vinegar or even pepper. It's a pub, you would think all that stuff to be automatic. Second night (9 pm Sunday) I tried to go elsewhere because of my previous night's experience, but not many other options. Most of Alma was already closed. Tonight there was no music playing, so I was able to have a conversation. I had the olive burger with steak fries, my son had boneless wings with Thai sauce and waffle fries. Everything was very good, and a good value for the money.
