Whoa. This pizza is on another level. You have to get the cabin sticks. Perfectly crunchy, warm, and gooey. Absolutely delicious. The pizza is outstanding. Generous with the toppings. The dough is great. The best part is that they actually let the cheese get brown. It's cooked perfectly. The only reason I didn't get five stars was the service was a bit slow and not super friendly. Voted best pizza in town and winner of best pizza in 2012; and heres why top to bottom. When in Mt. Pleasant i ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza for $6.89. The pepperoni was standard but the mushrooms really stood out, they were large and juicy. In my opinion the best mushrooms I've ever had on a pizza. Now the cheese was full bodied mozzarella with their signiture blend of herbs and spices mixed in, which was unique and allowed for their sause to be switched out free of charge without loosing their signiture tast. (Original, white, or spicy) The sause was thin but really stood out within the crust, which brings us to the bottom. The crust really stood out to me. It was a hand tossed style crust but with a very fluffy bready apeal without being doey. Very impressive!, and the sause sank right in. Visiting CMU for a lacrosse tournament and Yelp brought us here. My 3$ draft special was cold, local and yummy. Pizza was ON POINT. Tons of toppings, the classic specialty was all American goodness. Crust was chewy and flavorful. Good service. Only thing keeping from 5 stars was the app selection. Wanted a little bar food to start us off, but the menu only included breadstick options. I'll start this off with it was a decently busy night but 14 minutes to get a coke I asked for 3 times is a bit ridiculous. I dont remember the lady's name she had red hair. Review is based only on pizza and cabin sticks. My husband and I tried it here after all of the positive reviews for pizza. We just didn't get it and couldn't even finish one piece. Waaaay too doughy and cheese seemed less than good quality, as did the meats. The cabin sticks were a frozen appetizer-nothing special at all except the cheese in them was better than the cheese on the pizza. The sauce was really bland. Too bad-maybe Mt Pleasant just doesn't have good pizza places so this one stands out? I didn't like that they up-charged me for things without telling me. The manager did come over and gave us 1/2 off the pizza and said they had changed cheese suppliers, so maybe this was part of the issue. We won't be back. The Cabin has good pizza. It's menu as a whole is pretty decent, especially for a bar. There are lots of regulars there, and many sports teams end up there after games. The Cabin offers great drink and food specials. Probably the best pizza in Mt. Pleasant. It's a popular place for sports teams to come after games. Always packed with young adults, which can be annoying. VERY loud. The log atmosphere makes for a lack of a noise cushion. It's hard to have a convo here. This was one of my favorite places during my years at CMU. The pizza is delicious and the drinks are even better. Grab an Island Park Iced Tea, so yummy and comes in a giant glass. I also love the nights when they have live music. It's a great place to go with friends and grab a drink without having to deal with over the top drunks. read more

Some of the best gluten free pizza I've ever had! I've had dreams about this pizza! So good! The only thing I would say is that I wish they had better selection of menu. They have great gluten free options, but apparently they run out of them often. One time they ran completely out of everything gluten free on their menu. I'm talking pizza, breadsticks, everything. So as a gluten free person I was forced to eat a boring salad while the rest of my table ate deliciously smelling pizza. It was a major bummer. So my suggestion is to maybe figure out how to order enough gluten free items so you won't run out, or have more on the menu besides just pizza and salads. read more

The pizzas here are good, as long as they put toppings up to the crust. Sometimes there's a couple inches of crust, which is annoying. Their pizza special seemingly doesn't exist, the times I've ordered it they always charge me more and give me some cockamamie reason why. Even when I've asked the server in advance what the pizza special is, and tell them repeatedly I want the pizza special and I don't want to be charged more, they always seem to over-charge. My wife and I were in Mt. Pleasant to watch basketball and the Cabin came up as a good food destination. The service was horrible and the waitress had more important things to do like talk to the young man sitting at the bar. We ordered the cheese bread sticks which reminded my of Bosco Stixs from high school. My wife ordered a salad and I ordered a Steak grinder. The waitress was nice enough to bring the sandwich to me after my wife finished her salad. In most food establishments, you bring each their meal at the same time. In case you have never been to the Cabin. The cooks sit your food on a counter and wait for the waitress. We were finishing our stix ( wife's salad was gone) when the waitress realized my grinder was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes. My wife and I were ready to leave when she found this mysterious steak grinder that had no home and realized it was mine. I am not sure how or why this place received so high of reviews but we will never go back nor will we ever suggest anyone go there. The only good thing about our visit was all the writing on the walls and tables. Maybe people like the alcohol? The food was not worth taking pictures of. Good luck read more

The place might have looked nice before college kids wrote all over the walls, but now it just looks dirty. But you don't come here for the ambience, you come here for the gorram Cabin Sticks. For the same price as a measly serving of mozzarella sticks at chain restaurants, they give you a big basket of garlicky breadsticks with cheese baked inside. They were so delicious that we ate them all and barely had room for the pizza that we ordered. The pizza was good.. but damn those sticks. Unfortunately the one beer from Mountain Town Brewing that was available on draft was sold out (at 3pm?) so I went with Oberon. Worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

We decided to take my grandpa to the cabin since he had never been there, and we love their pizza! Unfortunately, coming 50 minutes away from home for an absolutely terrible experience. Although they were very busy- we waited patiently for 40 minutes for our breadsticks, only to find out they made us garlic bread instead. Which they asked us if we wanted that, after it had sat in the window for over 15 minutes. Almost an hour and 15 minutes later, we received our breadsticks and a luke warm pizza (as it was done before our bread and hung it a little bit.) A manager never came over to apologize for what had happened, but we were also charged full price for the breadsticks. After this experience- I'm not sure if we will be back. read more

Overall, pound for pound my favorite place in my time in Mt Pleasant. As a student I tried multiple places in town all with a good amount of success. But the Cabin takes the cake, best pizza in town, best portions as far as money for your drinks, and unlike O'Kellys down the road it doesn't take over an hour to get up to the bar and get a drink. Karaoke nights are awesome, $2 party's are awesome, and overall atmosphere is great. It's not just college kids, since it's one of the local favorites for drinks and food. Oh and the Cabin Sticks, yes they are basically Bosco sticks from high school, except all the way cooked, delicious, and good portions. read more

A couple weeks ago I took my son up to soaring Eagle waterpark for the day and afterwards we wanted to get some good pizza. I researched and found the cabinet which look like it had been reviewed very well. We found the place which has great parking and it does actually look like a log cabin which is super cool. They were super busy but we got a table very quickly. We waited about maybe a half hour at the most for the pizza and when it came out it was one of the best pizzas we had ever had! I even ordered another one to take home since I'm from downstate. And yes it is still super good warmed up as well. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in soaring Eagle the only thing is of course there's a ton of college kids LOL. Other than that I would definitely go back. read more
