So I haven't actually reviewed the cage, although I did review select and my review of select talks about the bar (before it was considered a separate entity). I will say my friend and I went on a Friday night and it was very crowded but we were lucky enough to get the last two seats at the bar since someone had just vacated. The bar was incredibly busy but despite how busy the staff was busting their butt and working like a well oiled machine it was honestly so impressive to watch. We wanted drinks but ended up also ordering an app to share. I'm not a fan of their food but we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and they were actually very good and something I would recommend. I ordered the 'tiki taka' and my friend ordered the 'you will never walk alone'. Their cocktails are unmatched- not only are they so unique and artfully crafted but the flavor is unmatched. Each one is made to perfect and with quality liquor. I have never been disappointed by their drinks and just one was plenty for me to walk away with a nice buzz. They take very great care in this craft and I know they do a lot of special training and it shows because their cocktails are truly splendid and better than any high end bar I have been to in the city. Stop by for the cocktails, the atmosphere and the great staff - our bartender was so unbelievably sweet and attentive and took care of us and other twosome . When we got there we were seated relatively fast everyone was very. The food and drinks were good like always no complaints. I have been there multiple times but Saturday night was the worst service I've ever had from them and compared to anywhere else. The waiter brought the wrong drink to me twice and took 20 mins to fix the first drink and was a bit faster the last time when they got it right. The waiter also told us he would bring us water twice never did until I asked then finally got water when we were almost done eating our dinner. Then I ordered one desert and they brought two out. We got seated at 7:30 and didn't leave until 10. As we left the host noticed we didn't have a bag for our leftovers so she had to run and grab one because the waiter never brought us one. Below average and not worth the money. We were there on a Sunday in June 2024, and it wasn't very busy. My son's $35 Bronzino entree was a very small portion, and was undercooked. My brisket sandwich was good tasting, but the meat was tough. The service was slow. It took 1 hour for our entrees to arrive. To be fair, we were served an appetizer promptly, before the entrees. The employees were very nice to us, but it's just not worth what we paid. I'm sorry to be hard on this place. You'll see that most of my reviews are 5 star, but definitely not this one. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting Cage Cocktail bar for brunch on Saturday while running some errands in the area. When I arrived I thought I might be at the wrong address because it looks as if it's ONLY a pizza place but upon walking in you can clearly see where the paths diverge. Nestled into the corner of the pizzeria is a beautifully decorated oasis of food, drinks, and pristine ambiance. From the time I entered the establishment multiple servers greeted me and quickly allowed me to be seated. Several things on the menu grabbed my attention but I decided on the chickens and waffle with a mimosa. I feel like If you put chicken and waffles on your menu it better be slapping...and slap it did. I was pleasantly surprised by how promptly the food arrived at my table even though they definitely were not short on patrons. The chicken breast was tender, juicy, and very well seasoned. While most waffles are kinda just mehhh this once was extremely tasty. Crisp on the outside and soft within. The chipotle infused syrup that accompanied the meal was a perfect addition to the waffle (and the chicken). The mimosa arrived with the cutest presentation of a clotheslined orange peel. The meal was a solid 5 stars and as a country girl I can confidently stand behind that review without angering anyone who knows good fried chicken. Aside from the chicken the service was excellent. Throughout the meal multiple people checked to make sure the food was okay and I had what I needed. It was never intrusive and always polite. I look forward to trying more of the brunch menu and slipping in for some of those happy hour small plates. Great find! read more

Decided to try this place (Huntingdon Valley location) today. What a letdown. I ordered a Stateside vodka martini, slightly dirty. Was told they didn't have any olive juice? Do they not have olives? Also, the location is maybe 50 yards from a Weis supermarket. Switched my drink order to something simple, Johnny Black, a splash of club soda and a lemon twist. What I got was a glass of club soda, ice (see attached picture) and a splash of whiskey. From a place that calls itself a cocktail bar this is surprising. On to the food, tuna tartar appetizer that tasted as if they spilled the salt shaker all over it, inedible. Caesar salad with chicken was ok. My lunch companion said the short rib lunch dish was strange but ok. And for the finale, waitress brings the check and says "we charge 3% extra for using a credit card so I'd suggest you use a debit card or pay cash". 3% seems a bit high for this but why wasn't that mentioned up front and I didn't notice it mentioned on the menu although it may have been in some fine print Anyway, a waste of time and $95. $97.85 if you use a credit card read more

I was expecting to have a Wow type experience based off of reviews, videos, and photos. The location is far out in Warrington and it shares a space with the Select Pizza spot. The service was fine and our server seemed knowledgeable and upbeat. The cocktail bar had nice decor but minimal, looks enhanced in the photos. There was nothing really special about the decor in the restaurant area. They had a couple of grass walls and a wood wall. The restaurant is one big room so its very loud in there. The drinks were expensive but just ok, once again they look better in the online photos. The food was also just ok, nothing to rave about or recommend. My entree was cold and had no memorable flavor. The bill was about $100 for something I could have gotten at Applebees or Chilis, definitely not worth the expensive bill. I was so excited to check out The Cage in Huntingdon Valley since we had a great experience with yummy food and drinks in Warrington... Sadly I was NOT impressed. They did not offer a full menu and their drinks were awful. They had a Chocolate Martini on their dessert menu that I was looking forward too but when it came back it was nothing but froth and nastiness. The waitress offered to make a new martini for me "on the house" (which she didn't have to do) but when she came back she said the bar didn't have all the ingredients to make a Chocolate Martini. Ok, then WHY offer it on the dessert menu?? My husbands drink also tasted like thick cough medicine. On top of that, the waitress we had went beyond her way to ask her manager if they can comp my new drink which was extremely thoughtful of the waitress to even do so. Instead of the manger coming to to our table to talk with us, she told the waitress they can't comp liquor but can offer ice cream... ICE CREAM?? Ok cool but she should of came to our table and apologize for having their bartenders serve nasty drinks. I get The Cage is not a chain but should be thought into a little bit better. I'm not sure if the waitress was angry because we were only ordering drinks and apps, not entrees, or what but she had given us attitude from the second we arrived. We felt very unwanted and she was just overall an incredibly unfriendly person. I have waitressing experience for years and her service was truly unacceptable. We were really excited to check out The Cage for the first time and despite the inside being decorated pretty uniquely and different, it was such a disappointment solely due to how we were treated. While our cocktails and apps were very good, my family and I unfortunately cannot get past our unfriendly service experience so we will not be returning. Our bill was still $150 so it's not like we didn't spend good money there... I just don't understand what warranted the treatment we received. There was a large party of us so lots of different things were ordered everyone seemed to like what they ordered. As for the drinks they are beautiful some at our table thought some were just a tad too sweet but I guess thats preference. Our waiter was enthusiastic and seemed to know the menu very well. He could answer any question. My only comment would be to slow down a bit. We know you have other tables but when taking a food or drink order go to both ends of the table don't make the far end yell questions or the order. (Don't reply I do have other tables)The object is to make each table feel like they are your only table. I can't say JUST big city because I live in Nevada City, CA and "Golden Era" bar which is located in Nevada City is a direct throw back to the 1800's Gold Rush days of a saloon. AND their mixologists are world class. I ordered the Joga Bonito and the Cleats Up... awesome. So I know. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and haven't had it that good since Los Angeles, 1976, at Angelo Grissanti, may he RIP) restaurant. I have been searching for world class Fettuccine Alfredo and low and behold... it's here at The Cage. I told my husband I may never be able to find Angelo's fettuccine Alfredo ever again!!! Happy hour with a friend was the reason for this venture to Warrington. The Cage Bar is attached to/part of the front of Select Pizza, the old Bertucci's, I believe. Kinda stupid but cute cagey/jungle decor, and bar stools with weird backs and floating cushions were a pain to keep straight. Beers were half price during happy hour, select cocktails and wines by the glass half price also. Discounts on food were approximately $2 off some select appetizers (flat breads, cheesy this or that, cheesesteak rolls, bao buns, etc) all fatty shit, but therefor tasty. My friend ordered a pizza to take half home for his other half, it looked big and rectangular, and he said it was pretty good except for too thick of dough. Dough doesn't offend me. Terrific bartenders and a calm crowd at the bar from 5-7 PM led to an easy place to have a conversation and have a few drinks. read more

We've been coming here for a while with friends. Food isn't great but better than most of the pizza places / casual places that saturate this area. Service is generally good but this evening soured me on the place. We intended to stop in another place for quick bite to catch end of Eagles game. They were closed for private party. We stopped here and put order in while we watched end of incredible game. As soon as game ended, manager starts changing channel on big TV to KC game which was already playing on smaller TVs. I asked that they not change channel for few minutes until after trophy ceremony. Manager says, "happy they won but I want to see other game." I say, "can't you wait few minutes until after ceremony?" He says, "this isn't a sports bar"...and something about making it even. Was going in around once a week, won't be doing that. Bit of advice: 1. Know your customers. 2. Care about your customers more than yourself. 3. When Philly teams are playing in such a meaningful game, every bar/restaurant is a sports bar! read more

Exceptional Service and so much attention to Detail! This place is a Must Go & Visit if you are in the Warrington, PA area! I drove 1.5 hours to check this place out based the on online reviews and they did not disappoint! We were immediately greeted by a professional well dressed gentleman who gave us an option to sit outside in the patio, at the main dining area tables, at the bar, or stool lounge area. We sat by the lounge area and shortly after was welcomed by our sever, "Hannah" I believe her name was. She was a breath of fresh air as she gave us options and recommendations to what to drink and eat. She gave us time to decide and was constantly checking up on us. She served us well and gave us top notch service & attention. I will return soon with my wife as she too enjoyed the service, quality and experience at this gem of a place!
