Great little place with some of the best Cajun and seafood we've ever eaten on our trips to Layette. Prices reasonable. Don't let the location fool you. I think it is a family owned restaurant. The waitresses we have had on each of our visits were very hospitable and attentive. Looking forward to visiting in a couple months upon our return to South Louisiana read more

This place is real good. The crawfish had 3 spice options. We got the spicy and it was a good spice. Didn't care for the minced garlic all over them. Fried pickles are pretty good tho they are pretty strong pickles. The gumbo is real good and the portion of rice on the side very generous. Im not a big fan of chicken but I love gumbo (weird, I know) so I asked them if they could go east on the chicken when dipping it, there was not a speck of chicken and it was full of sausage. The fact that they went above and beyond for me in that way was so nice!! I loved it!!! read more

Craving an étouffée I decided to give this a try based on the many reviews. Unfortunately the étouffée was less than desirable, maybe my expectations were set to high, the service was very slow though friendly, I ordered a gumbo appetizer and had to ask the waitress for my gumbo Three times as she was walking past my table, it eventually showed up, but with my crawfish étouffée. This was a pretty good gumbo as was the side of potato salad. The étouffée had to be reheated, the quality was very disappointing, it reminded me of something very commercial from a package, that catfish on top had burn marks after being reheated, it was no better than the étouffée. The waitress claimed they made the but I know better. One French bread was toasted and the other was not. Located in the shopping center seem to be a locals hang out. I would not recommend this place based on the overpriced menu and lack of quality in detail with slow service. read more

I was so looking forward to trying The Cajun Table but my experience was not so great. I may give them another try in the future but I'm definitely not rushing into it. One Friday night I decided to order something to go since the restaurant is pretty small and was packed with people waiting outside to get in. I ordered the Pirouge Party which is a fried shrimp poboy with crawfish etouffee drizzled over it. Sounds delicious, right? I was told to give them an hour (AN HOUR). That seemed a little excessive but they were busy so I said sure. This was at 8pm. At 9pm I go in, pay for it and am told it'll be right out. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you I stood there for thirty minutes with them all telling me it would be right out. I don't think they even started making it until I got there. I was fuming and would've just walked out but I had already paid for the damn thing. Finally at 9:30 it comes out and it wasn't until around 10pm that I got to try it. Was it worth a two hour wait? Check your boiled crawfish!!!! They're selling 5lbs of boiled crawfish, but giving you 4lbs. I ordered 5lbs to go and when the bag came it looked like there was nothing in there. I got home and weighed the crawfish on my scale, and it was exactly 4lbs. 1 whole pound missing. read more

Crawfish were out of bounds good! They have four levels if I recall, mild, regular, spicy and hot. I chose the spicy and they were perfect. The sausage is the best I have ever had in any crawfish boil from Mississippi to Texas. Service was quick and attentive. Loved it! read more

Exceptional food and service. This place was packed on a Friday night. We enjoyed boiled crawfish that were heavily seasoned with garlic, cajun spices, salt. They were great. The best catfish and shrimp I've ever tasted. Don't let the strip mall location turn you off, it is really cute inside and the staff is super friendly. I just enjoyed the Rojan Josh lamb curry and I need to let everyone know that my experience was unsurpassable. The chunks of lamb were tender and juicy, my garlic naan was delicious with a combination of crispy and tenderness with explosive flavors. If you haven't already tried this place, you must! Came here on Good Friday, place was pack! And live music too! Luckily, I called in an order to-go. We had the following: Seafood Platter - fried catfish filet, 10 fried shrimp & 1/3lb fried crawfish tails served with jalapeno hush puppies, cajun fries, side salad & cajun table dip - the seafood platter was good, however, the crawfish tails shrunk a lot and was pretty much almost popcorn crawfish Fried Shrimp Poboy - delicious and huge shrimp, flavorful Fried Catfish Poboy - catfish was flavorful and delicious Crawfish - well seasoned, and nice size! The owner refused to refund me for cheese fries that had an eyelash in them, and the cheese sauce was separating like it was old. She was also extremely rude and unapologetic for the way we were treated. Might be the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and I'll make sure that none of my friends, family, or coworkers ever eat here or support these rude people. read more

So I must say this place sucks. I put in my order for crawfish at 5:25 PM I was told be ready in 25 minutes. I arrive 5 minutes later and i get in line to pay for order. I wait 30 minutes told my order isn't ready yet and I go ahead and pay and proceed to wail. come back 30 minutes later and am told still not ready it would be another 10 minutes. No they lied again she comes back after I been waiting 2 freaking hours to tell me whoever took my order put it in for an *.00 PM pickup even though she told me 25 minutes am I really supposed to believe that? Then all I get is an apology from a worker? I should have gotten a sincere apology from a manager. Its like they didn't even care that much that i waited over 2 hours.
