I booked The Cake Countess for my wedding and she exceeded my expectations! We had a breathtaking cake that was 5 Layers and customized from the color to every flavor in each tier. The lace detail on the cake was so beautiful and the flavors were one of a kind. We also had a full on dessert bar that our guest could not stop talking about for days!! Cake pops, confetti push pops, Oreo brownies, brown sugar rice krispie treats and more! She even made a small custom cake for our dog since we wanted him to be part of the wedding, which was so cute! I got married on July 21, 2018. We got our cake from the Cake Countess. Dee is amazing in every way. She knew exactly what we wanted in a cake. We wanted a different kind of cake. We wanted something gothic, but yet sophisticated if it makes any sense. Dee was very in tune with our ideas however, she had her own amazing ideas. She added skulls all over our cake but were subtle. Our cake also bled. Yes it did! It bled while playing Jaws theme in the background while we cut this amazing thing. This cake looked incredible but it also tasted delicsious. Most of our guests said they went back for seconds and some for thirds. They even asked me about the cake vendor. Also, my venue loved the cake so much that she asked if she can recommend her to other couples. Of course I said YES! Thanks Dee for EVERYTHING!!!! Maritza designed our dream cupcakes and cake for our wedding, and we couldn't be more grateful for her professional attitude and delicious cakes. Our entire wedding party was raving on how great the cupcakes were, many went back for seconds. We started with a tasting event, where she had prepared samples of every single cake, frosting, and topping combinations. She gave us helpful hints and favorite combinations to try out. Every combination was delicious, and the hardest part was picking out our favorite. The day of the wedding, after all of our flavors had been picked out, she showed up on time, helped setup, and made the entire cake tasting worry free. More like 10 stars! I probably could not even name all the times I've ordered a cake or cake pops from The Cake Countess... but I'll try; two baby shower cakes which were super adorable, at least five birthday cakes for me - some I ordered and some that loved ones ordered for me, some Valentine's Day cake pops (yum!), a Thanksgiving pie, kids Birthday Cakes, a huge 50th birthday cake, and a cool Birthday Cake for my fiancé that was Poker themed. All have been impressive and delicious. I have also tried the cake countess brownies, cake in a jar, cup cakes (from parties I went to), chocolate covered Oreos, etc. I must say I'm definitely a fan. One of my birthday cakes was a gorgeous deep purple Prada Purse design. I did not want to cut it because it looked so real, but glad I did because it was so good... as everything else has been. I had two friends order wedding cakes from her that were absolutely beautiful! I will definitely order my wedding cake from her. Well now I see that I was completely blind as to someone's true colors. While before I could not believe that someone could not like dee, I've now been blindsided by the awful truth. I unfortunately this woman cannot be trusted. I paid dee $100 cash for a cake for my daughters birthday, and even though i found it somewhat peculiar that she asked for bakers choice and told me nothing about the cake before hand, I trusted her. What a stupid mistake. I told her my daughters party was around 1pm on Saturday the 1st of February, dee waited until 6:30 the night before to tell me that I could pick the cake up in pacoima (which is over an hour away from me) and 1) I was blown away, the only location we had discussed was Santa Clarita, it's seemingly now obvious that she's running a home bakery which only became legal in January 2014 and apparently didn't want to admit to clients that she lived in pacoima which is understandable as pacoima has justifiably got a bad rap, but I digress. I had asked her days before and about how I was going to get the cake, heck she was at my work that VERY DAY and could have dropped that cake off, but when I got the email I quickly tried to get in touch with her and ask if I could pick up the cake that evening because I didn't have the amount of time required to pick up the cake before the party. She then proceeded to tell me that no, the cake wouldn't even be ready till 1pm the next day, the very time my daughters party started! There was absolutely no way at that point so I asked her about this cake that I had no clue about regrading size and what not to decide if it was worth the effort, only to find out more bad news regarding the size etc. it was an absolute nightmare, and I finally stated that I would just pick the cake up some other day after or during work hours and asked when she would be available. She then stated I would receive a refund in 7-10 business days. It's now been 10 business days and honestly her story keeps changing and we unfortunately may end up in small claims over this matter. It's a sad sad end but no one should operate a business this way. Be upfront if a client asks you repeatedly about how they are gonna get thier cake, tell them! Tell them what you have in mind! So you can see if they are down with the idea you have. Oh and as an FYI she's also operating as poisoned apple pies. read more

One of my co-workers referred Dee to me so I decided to order a cake for our "Birthday Celebration." Everyone was so impressed with the presentation of the cake as well as the taste. It seems every time I order a cake, I say to myself, there's no possible way they can outdo themselves from the last cake. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they do because they up the bar every time. The Cake Countess has produced 3 beautiful and great tasting Birthday cakes for the past 3 years for my daughter. One year was a beautiful Disney themed castle with a great design and placement of the Disney princesses. I will never forget the look on my daughters face when she saw it. The Toasted Almond is a personal favorite, not only of myself, but friends and family who I've recommended to them. But it doesn't stop there! This baker is BEYOND great. I ordered from her for my clients event and OH BOY did she deliver. Her cupcakes were gorgeous each individually perfect like tiny pieces of art in beautiful white boxes with a clear window on top. She has printed my company logo on them on a little flag! They looked adorable! But thats not it! We ordered cake pops from her as well and I had a few extras left over after I dropped them off so I ate one. I have to tell you this cake pop was the BEST CAKE pop I have ever eaten in my entire life! I liked the cellophane bag after it was all gone. NOT JOKING my co-workers thought I was nuts. It was moist, creamy, sweet but not overly sweet. It was the perfect size, circle shape and I have been craving them ever since! Great spot to order custom cakes, cupcakes & cake pops in town! Bueno bueno y bueno! I follow the Cake Countess and decided for Thanksgiving, why not order a cake! After some phone calls and hard choice making i decided to order the amaretto cheesecake for my family and boy do I not regret it! To start off the cake was delivered directly to my house by The Cake Count, (not the countess) ;) lol , after a few hours of feasting of our turkey we went straight for it! My mother loved it, my father, my brother, my wife, pet fruit bat loved it! (just kidding about the bat though) but joking aside the cake was presented in sheer perfection...if you dont know what an amaretto cheesecake is, I recommend you google it! It was amazing! I don't know why everyone is saying she is so nice and her cakes are amazing!! if you want quality cakes... do yourself the favor and go elsewhere! First she is sooo rude! YES I said it RUDE!! She thinks she is Gods gifts to baking- shes not. I personally don't believe she has a REAL BAKERY. She wants to meet up with you in public, sort of like your doing a drug deal. i asked her over and over about wanting to see her business and all i got was the run around. I got a HORRIBLE vibe from her. Not to mention i was shocked as to see her show up as though she just rolled out of bed. I still gave the benefit of the doubt and purchased a cake. the cake i purchased was OK- not amazing. Very bland and dry- no flavor... not to mention the topping was super sweet, when i specifically said i did not want that. All in all, the cake was just bad. no one ate the cake at the party, not even my kids (4 & 7yr old) like the cake. save yourself the time, effort and headache. GO ELSEWHERE! read more

From the moment I was in touch with The Cake Countess, I knew I had found the right place to handle my daughter's birthday cake. She wanted a Halloween themed cake and the owner was very creative with the design and pretty much blew us away with the attention to detail. Ok, now for the good stuff...the cake itself was amazingly...yes I said amazingly.....delicious!!! It's going to be impossible to ever have another cake and not think of this one.
