The chocolate had chocolate frosting, chocolate drizzles on top, and a malt ball. The lemon cake was bright and refreshing, and had a little gummy on top. Overall the flavors were on par with other cupcake shops that I've been to. Store: They currently have cake classes to make cakes. Their next class is a Thanksgiving cake. The owner said she had plans to do other events at the shop. Let me tell you something - there are some businesses and their owners who (within their right) are in it for the money only. Not so common are the owners whose passion for their craft exude in the way they treat their customers. The ladies at the Cake Depot are the latter! I walked in while they were resting and munching on some lunch after a HUGE order (something like a 22-piece wedding cake during graduation week no less). I felt like I was walking into family's house. They were all so kind, made me feel extremely welcome. We chatted for about 7 minutes and actually got to know each other a little bit! If other businesses practiced this same level of customer care - we'd be living in heaven on Earth! Now to the delights! I picked up 3 brownies for me and the family. They were wrapped up real nice and placed in a nice bag - good presentation! When I got home, obviously I devoured my brownie with a glass of milk. It was wonderful! They invited me back next week to try some new flavors and I quickly promised that I could be their official taste tester. Outside of the store visit, they communicated with me and followed up on my experience. This is the point at which I understood that they were trying to go above and beyond for their customers! I had this cake made for my son's 9th Birthday October 30th 2021 after realizing the cake was defrosting when I arrived to pick it up . They assured me that after sitting it wouldn't look wet. They never told me that the flavors I picked was not available and they picked it for me until I confirmed the flavors after handing them my money.Before singing happy Birthday I noticed the cake had a slit in it witch was okay because i figured it had been moved to much from traveling.
