They no longer serve shave ice which is a bummer but they have a good selection of ice creams. A great convenience store. It's small but the service is helpful and kind. This shop is located on the second floor across of Famous Footwear in Windward mall. The shop still has the jars from hanabada days. They have the kid flavors I grew up with (li hing mui) to all sorts of candy and treats such as freeze tried skittles, lemon peel mix ins, plum bear freeze, etc. Also one of the few candy shops that still sell li hing lollipops. Service has always been kind and helpful.

It wasn't that good. The packaged Hurricane Popcorn in the stores is actually better than this. They pop the popcorn fresh when you order it. However, it lacks flavor. I'm not sure if it's the butter that they're using or the mochi crunch. The prices are outrageous. I bought a large bag for $9.50. I thought the popcorn at the theaters were expensive. I'm doubtful that I'll be returning anytime soon. It's cash only, so make sure you have money on you.

As I stood in line and continued my gaze on the shaking, my mind landed on a hurricane popcorn mix with lihing mui. When it was finally my turn I felt like a kid in a candy store, watching them ladle in the butter and lihing mui powder, shake, then the furikake, shake, and then the arare. I took the bag of gold back to the table and we all dug in. In minutes it was gone. All we were left with was red fingers and kanak-attack grins. I live in Kahala, but will definitely go over the Pali for more popcorn.

Their candies also seem to be pretty fresh. I probably spent over $50 in snacks to bring back and there hasn't been one that I didn't like yet. But they range from about $7-$9 a bag. It's good checking out if you are looking for snacks and want to gift anything. The people working there were nice and parking was easy since they have their own lot.

I highly recommend this place. It was definitely worth the drive! Don't forget if you like the mustard dipping sauce you'll have to ask. Cost is .25 or .50 cents.
