Avoid this place at all costs. We left our dog there for 8 days and when we picked her up, we were told she had "seasonal allergies". This dog was so sick, she could barely raise her head. Thank goodness we took her to the emergency vet that evening and their diagnosis was pneumonia and upper respiratory infection. Shouldn't mouth and nose discharge along with not eating for at least 3 days be a sign a dog is sick? We didn't receive one phone call telling us she wasn't feeling well. My husband called to inform them how sick she was while under their care and their response was "we hope she recovers". Really? Not the least bit concerned for our dog. Beware, this could happen to you too. I would give them zero stars, if that were an option. read more

My dog Stella absolutely loves The Canine Connection! She's been going once a week (sometimes twice) for close to 2 years, and it's definitely one of the highlights of her week. She can always tell when it's a "school" day and is so excited to get in the car and go even though she isn't a big fan of car rides in general. My dog, Jamie, loves going to The Canine Connection! I've been taking him since he was a puppy when he went through puppy preschool and beginner's obedience training with Mariah. We later did intermediate obedience which was a great experience and very helpful for a new puppy parent. He now goes to daycare a few times a month and it's his favorite thing ever! He gets so excited when we pull up to the building! The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and I feel very comfortable leaving my pup with them for daycare or boarding. I never worry about anything when leaving him in the hands of the very capable staff! read more

I have been concerned since you had three of your employees quit within weeks of each other. Unfortunately the quality of care has declined since. Today I paid $60 so my dogs could play for 2.5 hours and be kenneled for the remainder of the day. If I wanted to kennel my dogs all day I can do that for free at home. read more

I can't praise Canine Connection highly enough. Owner Valerie Murphey and company run all aspects of the facility with tremendous skill, and more importantly, with their whole hearts. Val and staff really, truly know the dogs they care for, from their sweetness and struggles to their silliest quirks. The daycare, boarding, and training they offer are super affordable and so wonderful! My dearly departed dog Jake came here regularly to burn off puppy and young dog energy at daycare and for stays at boarding when I had to leave town. Jake was treated with such an abundance of affection and tenderness and well-deserved amusement, I always felt like I was giving him a gift when I left him there. Each time, before we were out of the parking lot, I could feel his gratitude radiating out of his exhausted body. Pups play all day at Canine Connection, so it's basically dog heaven, pure joy for them, with extremely competent care by the attentive staff. Jake also came for training, first for basic obedience and later because he still had a few behavioral issues I couldn't solve on my own. Val and her expert associate trainer Ed worked closely with Jake and me to help me develop a non-anxious leadership style and to help Jake curb his needless barking at non-threats. What a relief. All that investment in shifting both our behaviors resulted in a profoundly deepened bond between me and my dog. Amazingly, Val remembers Jake in detail, though it's been years. That tells you how much they see their canine clients as unique beings with whole personalities. For your dog's needs, and for your development as an owner, I can't stress this enough: GO TO CANINE CONNECTION. read more

This is a terrible place to take your fur babies. We have used them for daycare and for boarding. We will NEVER use them again! The owner and staff lie about the care of our fur babies. They say one thing to our face and do the opposite. Any issue is not their fault. We are spreading the word far and wide to not use them! We have used Canine Connection for about 3 years and will NEVER be going back. We took our dog there over Christmas break, for 10 days, and will not be using their service ever again. We walked in, asked how our dog was--they said he was great, ate well, had no issues, etc. We paid and left. We arrive home to give him a bath because he is filthy with dirt all over him, and we notice part of his ear is missing....literally. He was acting completely different. He was timid, crying, not acting normal at all. I called the next day and ask if I can speak to a manager. I explain to them that I discovered part of his ear was missing and simply ask what happened. The owner tries to play stupid and asks, "Oh, they didn't tell you when you picked him up?" I reply no. She still proceeds to ask,"Really? No one did?" And I say, no that is why I am calling. She then begins to tell me that another dog got a "lucky bite" on our dog. They were playing and a dog bit his ear and either twisted his body, or our dog twisted his-- resulting in part of our dog's ear being bitten off. I explained I understand that dogs play hard, and that I get that. I told her she had a perfect opportunity to discuss this with us when we picked him up and even asked how he was there, if he was good, if anything happened, etc. No wonder they didn't tell us when we were there, they took our money anyways!? We trusted them with taking our dog there, and after paying $300+, they should take this situation into serious account. They lied so they could collect our money. I then explained that it would have been completely different if they called us when it happened, instead of us going home after paying hundreds of dollars for them to supposedly take "great care" of our dog--to find part of his ear missing. We have told our friends that we have recommended to stop using them, and we will not in the future. If they truly had the dog's best interests and taking great care of their dogs heart--they would have let us know instead of trying to trick us and taking our money. We are very disappointed. If you want your dog to be taken care of properly, do not take them here. read more
