Dibble's Inn Orchard and Estate - Great Gatsby theme wedding

    Dibble's Inn Orchard and Estate

    (55 reviews)

I attended a wedding as MOB. The venue and grounds were lovely and the food and cake was very good…read morehowever the poorly timed other weddings had an impact to the wedding I was attending. There was no canopy so if it rained, the wedding was going to be moved indoors, which is certainly not what was paid for. I only know this as I called the wedding a week before as I was reading the weather report - NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I had to ask my daughter, the bride, what would happen if it rained. The bridal party had to wait out in the sun but were scolded by the wedding coordinator because we were waiting in the shade in another venue (scheduled to begin an hour later). They booked the venue back to back so there was little time for pictures after the ceremony and because they booked 2 weddings in the same venue so close together, they tried to shame the bride into foregoing communion because it would add length to the ceremony itself. The promised signature drink was brought out at the end of the night, and the bride only had a very limited selection for a "signature". The wedding coordinator told the bridal party and DJ about timing of the gates closing and bride arriving to venue and blamed the DJ when it wasn't right. The hor devours were cold and brought out by 2 people a single tray at a time so depending on where you were seated as a guest, you may not have received them. Only one bartender for 110 guests. Hundreds of dollars in champagne was wasted because the wedding coordinator told the servers to pick up all champagne glasses from the tables - even the ones that had not yet been drunk. When I and other guests complained to the wedding coordinator, she was rude to us. Servers cleared plates with food on them without asking if the guest was done eating. The reception downstairs music was so loud we couldn't hear the speeches upstairs and the bathrooms were inaccessible as they were downstairs where the other reception was taking place - leaving 1 restroom upstairs for all the guests. There was a complete lack of signage which was particularly important with multiple weddings occurring at the same time. Guests had absolutely no idea of where to go for their wedding or reception. The videographer hired by Dibbles for their marketing campaign blocked the view of guests and the bride and groom-hired photographer during the ceremony. While the grounds and venue are absolutely stunning, be mindful of timing with other weddings, get EVERYTHING in writing and ask for a wedding coordinator that is not Pam. No guest, member of the bridal party or MOB should be treated like a child or policed by a wedding coordinator.

This establishment has seen better days . The food was almost inedible. Water was not provided…read moreunless you asked one of the servers..The one bartender that was there ,put less than 1/2 of an ounce of alcohol per drink and wouldn't serve Vodka on the rocks, it had to served with club soda or some other beverage.Keep this in mind , if you need to urinate don't arrive too early, you will not be allowed to go inside until the event starts Perhaps they could provide an outside unisex bathroom. That would be better than urinating outside as suggested by the parking attendant The owners of this place should be embarrassed .
