My husband and I wanted to get breakfast in town before heading back to the Poconos! Looking for suggestions online we chose The Corner Diner Too as the feedback regarding service and reviews was very positive! A small and cozy environment as we were greeted by locals and management upon entering the restaurant. My husband and I both ordered omelets that were fantastic! Owner and staff take a lot of pride in their business! Make everyone feel welcome and have a great sense of humor! If you're visiting the Verona or surrounding area would highly recommend! Food and service was great! Refreshing too see a properly ran restaurant and a friendly and organized team!! Will definitely be back in the future!!

The ceiling tiles were out of place and each wall was a different color. No one greeted us at the door for a few minutes. Once finally sat, the lady asked us the general questions. There was no " hi how are you ". She seemed like she just hated everything about her job. Once we got our order taken, we were able to give a look around. Floors were disgusting and tables sticky. The food was undercooked and had no taste whatsoever. The music blasting from the kitchen was very distracting. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it was a mom and pop location...we will not be back.

We were placed in the back room with a large table and within 20 minutes the waitress asked if we would like to move tables to the front room because they were a bit loud and she accommodated my request for a round table. Wonderful appetizer of scallops with the best 12 year aged cheddar cream sauce I've ever had. Hen mushrooms and some relish. Then (not pictured) was the dungeonness crab corn chowder which they politely split into two bowls for us. Entrees I had the filet with adobo shrimp and they did it rare +. Bf had the aged ribeye with cippolini and we shared the pomme purée. Split a bottle of rouge medoc. Everything was wonderfully cooked. It was a steep bill but to be expected. They offer you as well amuse bouche to start and a wonderful lemon bar to go. Great great time!

Our server, Morgan, was great--very friendly and helpful. She recommended the special, and I'm glad she did because it was delicious. Everyone in my family enjoyed their meals too. We finished with the seasonal boozy shake and a couple of other desserts, which were all really good. The atmosphere was welcoming, everything was very clean, and the food came out faster than we expected. Overall, it was a really great experience, and we'll definitely be coming back!

My mom and I like to go here whenever we come up for an event and that's what we did after a day full of shopping at their annual craft show. The wait to sit down was 2 hours but we opted to wait and find seats at the bar. Took us about 15 min. Once we sat the bartenders were all great and very prompt, always checking on us. We ordered an appetizer of onion rings and honestly they were so good! Crispy a d the onion didn't slide right out when taking a bite. We were honestly almost full just from that. We also got a burger to split and they were great about it they even played it separately no extra charge. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium. The maple glaze and Gorgonzola cheese were put on the side just like we asked. We're typically not picking a burger to eat, but this one was delicious! The glaze and the tang of the blue cheese was a unique pairing. Even my mom loved it. Could not have asked for a better meal after walking around for hours.

We were told that it wasn't going to be a prix fixe menu as we were a party of under 12 when the reservation was booked (we asked). It was. Selection was somewhat limited particularly for the vegetarians but the waitress said that they could swap veggies in for the trout in the risotto. They didn't. It was just risotto. Potato leek soup. So salty that it was inedible. Like sea water salty. Three of us sent it back. NY Strip. Boring and clearly hadn't been seasoned before cooking (ironic). Not quite cold but really, really close. A little tiny ramekin of chimichurri sauce which I was supposed it make it interesting or tasty I guess. It was neither. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Desert was a borderline interminable wait. And then they served gelato and sorbet to four of us. Think milkshake. A thin, runny milkshake, approaching soup. The food runners and waitress were so embarrassed they couldn't look at us when they dropped the desert and ran. Who lets ice scream, posing as soup out of the kitchen. It used to be a quaint little place with fantastic food ... And now, an overpriced, industrial'ish place with sub-par food (although the owners are clearly cashing out, leaning on its prior reputation). Unfortunate. $85 a head, $1,500 all in with drinks and tip.

Everything from the authentic sourdough bread, cider donut bread pudding was extremely memorable. We happen to be in there on St. Patrick's Day weekend, so while I don't think you'll be able to enjoy the corn beef on a regular basis, if it's any indication of the regular menu, it was stupendous. Not to mention the fact that the drinks were generous and we really appreciated the warm yet. Updated ambience. Kind of like, having a great babysitter, or Electrician. We visited over the weekend with friends who had dined there previously. Our 6:30 reservation was honored promptly upon arrival. The village setting is quaint, and the restaurant itself is warmly decorated--upscale enough to feel special but still relaxed and approachable. After being seated, our server presented the drink menu and specials. Our friends ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, along with the Steak Nicholas and the double smash burger. My wife selected the seafood special--a blackened salmon with lobster salad--while I opted for the Steak Nicholas as well. The food arrived in a timely manner and was everything was very good. My steak was perfectly cooked, complemented by the house Worcestershire sauce and compound butter. The fried green tomatoes were also well-prepared. The only disappointment at the table was the brown butter cake our friends ordered for dessert, which they found dry and lacking freshness. Where the experience fell short, however, was service. While our server was polite, she was difficult to find at times, leading to long waits for assistance. There was also some confusion when boxing up leftovers. The most significant issue arose when it was time to settle the bill. Our total came to $260, and we requested separate checks. Unfortunately, our server seemed very flustered and unsure of how to split the bill, and after some back-and-forth, she suggested dividing it evenly. We agreed simply to avoid further delay. However, when processing payment, the card charge came to $153 before tip--well above the correct half of the bill (approximately $130). Combined with our friends' $200 cash payment, the total ended up being $380, which inadvertently resulted in a very large gratuity - something we didn't realize until we had left the restaurant, as the confusion surrounding how to split the bill was frustrating and we simply wanted to head out. While we take responsibility for not carefully resolving the issue before leaving, the confusion around the bill frustrated us in the moment and left a negative final impression on an otherwise enjoyable meal. Overall: The food was excellent and worth trying, particularly the Steak Nicholas and seafood offerings. That said, service and billing procedures could benefit from improvement to ensure a smoother dining experience.
