This is a cute bungalow style hotel that is only a couple minutes walk to the gorgeous white sands beach I'd Siesta Key. Upon arrival I was greeted and assisted by a very friendly staff member. Checkin was quick and easy. She provided a handful of local restaurant suggestions, beach activities, and explained the hotel's amenities which include a pool, laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi. The room was studio style with a queen bed and kitchenette. Unit 102 comes with a refrigerator, stove, coffee pot and a few cooking utensils. The room was super cozy and clean and was just perfect for my one night stay. One assigned parking spot is provided. You're a few minutes walk to the beach area. Or a tip only shuttle over to the bars and restaurants areas. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay for one night. It's a short walk down to the beach. Janna at the front desk was very helpful. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen, room, shower, all great. Courtyard had a great ambience. Cool place to relax and get away.

We only stayed 1 night but we had an excellent stay. I've stayed at Captiva also but I liked the room and grounds at this resort better. Nicely lit and landscaped. Cute patio furniture and a lovely room. One reason I liked the Capri over captiva was the shower. The one at the Capri was way better and so was the water pressure. We checked in after hours and thankfully I called and got instructions on late check in. It was super simple. The room was adorable (see pics) and I love the little street it's on and it's a walk to the beach. Definitely will return when I come down to visit my friend.

Beautiful little studio, a stone throw away from the beach. The private beach was awesome. Staff always friendly and beyond helpful. Will definitely make another trip there..

My husband and I spent three nights at The Capri over Labor Day weekend in celebration of my birthday. We stayed in 107, the Deluxe Suite. We'd never been to Siesta Key before, and WOW was it fantastic to have Becky (the manager) tell us the key points to know - how to get to the village, good places to eat, what to do on the beach - as well as welcome us to The Capri. She couldn't have been a better "welcome wagon"! Room 107 is the largest of all accommodations at The Capri. It is very well kept and updated, and provided everything we needed - oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes, glasses, utensils, coffee and coffee maker, creamer, salt/pepper, pots/pans, toaster, blender, and a nice dining area both inside and outside of the room. I found the bed to be comfy, but it was the only complaint my husband had. His back hurt every day after sleeping in that bed. The bedroom itself has a nice chest of drawers and a sizable closet (with bathrobes!), along with a flat screen television. The living room was large with a couch, chair, coffee table and another flat screen. It was in the living room that we primarily accessed the complimentary Wi-Fi, and it was FAST! The bathroom was nice and clean, and I would have loved more counter space, but what can you expect at the beach, right? It was ample for what we needed, but I kept a few of the toiletries in the toiletry bag and hung it behind the door. Though there is no scheduled daily housekeeping service, if you need to have any cleaning done, it's a phone call away. Otherwise, you can exchange your bath towels and beach towels simply by placing them in the provided tote, right outside your door. The next day, the housekeeping staff will provide you with clean replacements (as well as a little surprise - Ritz Bitz peanut butter sandwiches). The Capri offers a room where you can borrow beach toys as long as you return them, and also pick up extra supplies like toilet paper, coffee, creamer, dishwashing detergent, and other items that might need replenishing. There are even beach chairs to borrow or you can rent them at the beach. We brought our own beach chairs, umbrella and table, and never had an issue finding a good spot on the beach, even during the busy holiday weekend. I also love how the front office offers DVDs for free use. Just watch your movie and return the DVD, and grab another one. Or, grab two! Or, three! Just return them to the front desk when finished. We used Jerry's Siesta Key Free Ride to get from The Capri into the village each evening. It's about a 3-mile drive and rather than dealing with parking (which can be quite an issue in the village), we would simply call Jerry for a ride to the village, and then call back when we were ready to go back to The Capri. He and his drivers work on tips only, and drive little electric vehicles that seat 5 passengers. It's really the best way to get around, and it's reliable and fairly quick! They'll even offer you a $5 coupon to use at certain businesses. This was our first trip to Siesta Key and The Capri. We loved it, and will be back!

For generations, many of us have celebrated Mother's Day and Father's Day at this location. Especially after the hardships families endured following the recent hurricanes, it was heartbreaking to see such a beloved tradition suddenly removed and replaced with what felt like a far less luxurious alternative. What makes this even more surprising is that other Ritz-Carlton locations across Florida and beyond continue to offer their renowned holiday brunch buffets. Luxury resorts are expected to maintain the traditions and elevated experiences that guests return for year after year. The decision also reflects a larger decline in consistency at this location, including noticeable reductions in buffet quality and offerings during other holidays such as Easter. Loyal members and longtime guests have noticed these changes, and many are now choosing to celebrate elsewhere. We have supported this resort for over 20 years, bringing multiple generations of mothers, grandmothers, and families to celebrate special occasions. To remove such an iconic tradition with very little notice was deeply disappointing. We sincerely hope management reconsiders these decisions moving forward, because many loyal locals and longtime guests no longer feel this location reflects the luxury and five-star experience it once proudly represented. Been coming here for decades as a visitor - not an owner. Bottom line opinion is that Limetree…read moreResort provides a consistently excellent value. Yes, you can find fancier places with more amenities, but Limetree delivers what is important for a safe family friendly gulf beach experience. Read on to learn why...... Staff: office, maintenance and housekeeping staff were exceptional. They were always welcoming and helpful while their workspaces were totally professional - organized, neat and tidy. Facility: Rental condos were exactly as described, stocked as promised and clean. FYI - Visitors in one unit (No 120) reportedly experienced a consistent humming from electrical systems adjacent. Also, the Internet was disrupted by the storm temporarily, but electricity and air conditioning were reliably constant. Washer/dryer units are available for no charge! During our stay, Hurricane Debby passed by, leaving about 17 inches of rain in one day with very gusty winds. Through the weather was dramatic, we never felt in danger. The building felt solid. Whew! We used the community gas grills, the shared PC, bought postcards, and generally enjoyed the same experience we've had over the years. Plenty of parking is available, and the activity center was refreshed where we played ping pong and reviewd books in the lending library. Site: The beach was substantially augmented with crushed shell/sand. It held up to the storm surge like nothing ever happened. Spectacular sunsets were a treat. We saw dolphins, pelicans, gulls, lots of wading birds including a rosette spoonbill! Entertainment: We loved the Tuesday evening one woman band. Beautiful versatile voice and musician - she had the kids, and some adults, up dancing at sunset. A magical treat! Value: For a family friendly, safe, clean on-the-beach experience- it was amazing! In summary - for the experience controlled/managed by the Limetree, the overall rating is a solid 5 (best). It's what we've come to expect after many years of visits. We hope they continue for our future generations. However - there were some non-controllable factors that downgraded our visitor experience. 1) Temporarily, construction noise from a new development. Swiveling tower cranes, clanging metal, banging, truck traffic immediately adjacent to the Limetree on the north side occurs during the day. We experienced noise from about 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This was not a surprise because Limetree staff informed us of the work. Yet we were grateful to be on the south side of the facility - a little further away. 2) Other people: We were surprised to hear late night (after closing) loud pool parties on several evenings. They stopped before midnight but still it was not expected. We were also disappointed to see people pitch camp (umbrellas, chairs, etc.) between our rented cabanas and the beach - which obstructed our water view. Apparently, there is a public beach strip between Limetree property and the waterline available to anyone. Thus, Limetree could not force them to move, yet, we are used to a Limetree community of kindness - not competition. Thus, the atmosphere at times seemed less friendly this trip. Like the uncontrollable weather, I don't allow these external issues affect the Limetree rating. We'll be back.

My aunt & uncle purchased pre- construction 2 units in the building next door, prior to Limetree became a time share & we stayed there every year. They also had a studio unit when Limetree opened but never used. Once Mom bought her unit we would transfer to that unit for our 2nd week. These units were for Mom, my sister, me & any grandchildren invited on that vacation. Basically girls only & kids which excluded my Dad, brothers, and later my sister's husband & mine. My Mom did purchase a week that was Memorial Day & rented this week as kids were still in school. However I got married on May 30th & Mom gave us the week. My husband had never been to Florida & thereafter we went every year & eventually using week 24 once Mom no longer wanted to go to Sarasota circa 2006 or so. My husband took a great interest in the turtles & took it upon himself to enforce no lights on the beach & early morning strolls & volunteering unofficially with conservationists by identifying new tracks & nests. He became known as " The Turtle Man of Lido Beach" by these conservationists & Limetree Resort. He learned a great deal & was advised to get certified as a volunteer but it was a 6 week course that due to the fact we lived & worked in Illinois & came to Florida for 2 weeks in June was not an option, plus really not necessary. This resort has truly been our home away from home with our annual Limetree friends , the beach, St. Armando Circle's favorite restaurants & stores , & a feeling that comes over me hearing & seeing the Gulf upon arrival that envelopes me, mind & spirit at peace, all concerns or troubles forgotten. There is no comparison to hotel stays as just another guest & Limetree's attention to providing amenities & supplies so you feel at home & as sense of belonging. Last year was the first year in more than 50 years I could not do my annual vacation to Sarasota due to a change in ownership to another family member of both weeks. Rest assured that Myrtle Beach does not hold a candle in any way to Lido Beach & will either rent or purchase a unit in June or August 2026 to ensure Limetree is the only destination for my vacation come what may.

The unit is old and has a beaten down look to it with lights that stayed on all the time, ones that didn't work at all and other work that looked as though it was done by armatures that watched You Tube videos to try their hand a DIY work 3. The unit is decorated in an early-attic, late basement, rummage sale motif. Although the bed was comfortable and the downstairs den was decent, everything else was low-end 4. The kitchen could only seat 4 and was ill equipped with utensils, cookware and china which had the rummage sale-goodwill store feel. The bad stuff noted above is all predicated on the eye-popping cost of $646/day ($18,000 for the month). Based on the cost we expected a much better unit and experience. From other review it appear that most people stayed for long weekends in the cottage units which I presume are in better shape, however, our experience in the duplex was not worth the money.
