Stayed one night as a last minute decision as I got off of work substantially early. The price was super cheap as well, because they were unlikely to rent the unit that night. One night in unit 101 which is an efficiency style unit, 260sq ft, was $252. The rental included self parking with my own dedicated spot, which was perfect because I was driving there. The office sent me a text and an email with check in instructions. The room was clean and well stocked. My only qualm was that the toilet barely flushed. It looked like it was going to overflow every time you flush is and the toilet paper would just linger in there until it decomposed. Yes, there was a plunger in there but I wasn't about to get to work on that toilet. Nope. Instead I planned to just toss the paper in the trash and find another place to go #2 if I had to. The fridge kept my drinks and snacks cool. I did not use the cooking stuff. I wanted to use the coffee maker but there were no filters (I brought my own coffee grounds). They had some pre packaged stuff, but I opted not to use it. There were some snacks with the coffee creamers etc but the date on the peanuts was May 2024 so I didn't bother looking at anything else. The towels were nice and soft. The water pressure was insane. The kitchen sink pretty much assaulted me when I turned it on. The shower and bathroom sink were just as powerful. Water temp was good. The room itself was very cool, had a NOISY but powerful AC. It clunked every time it reached temp and turned off. Wear ear plugs. Beach access was a short walk away, as well as a wonderful breakfast spot (toasted mango), awesome ice cream place (Jake's) and delicious deli (Anna's). I walked everywhere. There are nearby fancy restaurants and local bars and the marina isn't far at all. I walked there too. I'd say this place overall was great value and very safe. I appreciated the community pool and beach access. I had my own chairs and umbrella, so I did not rent. I would stay here again. This is a quieter side of the island compared to the village. read more

We only stayed one night but wow, how I wish it were 1,000! There is guaranteed parking, keyless entry and lots of amenities. The communication is on point too so we never felt lost. You are within walking distance of the beach. They offer beach chairs to borrow which is great because it saves you money for like alcohol and stuff. ;) We walked to get coffee at Captains Curt so yes, coffee and a 7-11 are super close! We can't wait to return next year! read more

This is a cute bungalow style hotel that is only a couple minutes walk to the gorgeous white sands beach I'd Siesta Key. Upon arrival I was greeted and assisted by a very friendly staff member. Checkin was quick and easy. She provided a handful of local restaurant suggestions, beach activities, and explained the hotel's amenities which include a pool, laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi. The room was studio style with a queen bed and kitchenette. Unit 102 comes with a refrigerator, stove, coffee pot and a few cooking utensils. The room was super cozy and clean and was just perfect for my one night stay. One assigned parking spot is provided. You're a few minutes walk to the beach area. Or a tip only shuttle over to the bars and restaurants areas. I would definitely stay here again. read more

We only stayed 1 night but we had an excellent stay. I've stayed at Captiva also but I liked the room and grounds at this resort better. Nicely lit and landscaped. Cute patio furniture and a lovely room. One reason I liked the Capri over captiva was the shower. The one at the Capri was way better and so was the water pressure. We checked in after hours and thankfully I called and got instructions on late check in. It was super simple. The room was adorable (see pics) and I love the little street it's on and it's a walk to the beach. Definitely will return when I come down to visit my friend. read more

I tend to have analysis paralysis when booking hotels online so I was so happy to have my expectations exceeded at The Capri At Siesta-my husband and daughter both thought the place was adorable. We were able to park in the lot prior to our check in so we could head to the beach (a quick walk down the circle) and they called us when the room was ready (and even gave us beach towels ahead of check in). The room and courtyard are so cute! Convenient to the beach and breakfast, dinner, drinks, etc all within (a short) walking distance. We had a great dinner at the Fish Market, cute coffee shop (pastries and breakfast sandwiches) at Captain Curt's. This area is far less crowded than downtown (but downtown is just a trolley ride away). The private beach was very crowded early so I HIGHLY recommend booking chairs/umbrella ahead of time. read more

My husband and I spent three nights at The Capri over Labor Day weekend in celebration of my birthday. We stayed in 107, the Deluxe Suite. We'd never been to Siesta Key before, and WOW was it fantastic to have Becky (the manager) tell us the key points to know - how to get to the village, good places to eat, what to do on the beach - as well as welcome us to The Capri. She couldn't have been a better "welcome wagon"! Room 107 is the largest of all accommodations at The Capri. It is very well kept and updated, and provided everything we needed - oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes, glasses, utensils, coffee and coffee maker, creamer, salt/pepper, pots/pans, toaster, blender, and a nice dining area both inside and outside of the room. I found the bed to be comfy, but it was the only complaint my husband had. His back hurt every day after sleeping in that bed. The bedroom itself has a nice chest of drawers and a sizable closet (with bathrobes!), along with a flat screen television. The living room was large with a couch, chair, coffee table and another flat screen. It was in the living room that we primarily accessed the complimentary Wi-Fi, and it was FAST! The bathroom was nice and clean, and I would have loved more counter space, but what can you expect at the beach, right? It was ample for what we needed, but I kept a few of the toiletries in the toiletry bag and hung it behind the door. Though there is no scheduled daily housekeeping service, if you need to have any cleaning done, it's a phone call away. Otherwise, you can exchange your bath towels and beach towels simply by placing them in the provided tote, right outside your door. The next day, the housekeeping staff will provide you with clean replacements (as well as a little surprise - Ritz Bitz peanut butter sandwiches). The Capri offers a room where you can borrow beach toys as long as you return them, and also pick up extra supplies like toilet paper, coffee, creamer, dishwashing detergent, and other items that might need replenishing. There are even beach chairs to borrow or you can rent them at the beach. We brought our own beach chairs, umbrella and table, and never had an issue finding a good spot on the beach, even during the busy holiday weekend. I also love how the front office offers DVDs for free use. Just watch your movie and return the DVD, and grab another one. Or, grab two! Or, three! Just return them to the front desk when finished. We used Jerry's Siesta Key Free Ride to get from The Capri into the village each evening. It's about a 3-mile drive and rather than dealing with parking (which can be quite an issue in the village), we would simply call Jerry for a ride to the village, and then call back when we were ready to go back to The Capri. He and his drivers work on tips only, and drive little electric vehicles that seat 5 passengers. It's really the best way to get around, and it's reliable and fairly quick! They'll even offer you a $5 coupon to use at certain businesses. This was our first trip to Siesta Key and The Capri. We loved it, and will be back! read more

I'm both surprised and skeptical to see the negative complaints below about the rooms and service at the Capri at Siesta. I myself love this hotel, I've never stayed anywhere else in Siesta Key because I don't need to, this place is perfect! It's a clean, cute, comfortable, family-run, single-story hotel in the heart of Siesta Key. The rooms are big enough and nicely renovated with a full kitchen (full size oven/electric stove tops, full size refrigerator, 4 seat dinner table), TV with full digital entertainment including Hulu/Netflix/Cable, large glass walk-in shower, and a beautiful courtyard lounging area. The family that runs the hotel is extremely nice - I had a personal issue (non-hotel related) during my stay here and the Owners made absolutely every effort to assist me - I was very grateful for their kind assistance. I highly recommend the Capri at Siesta for anyone visiting Siesta Key. read more

We stayed there for three nights based on reviews it was the best hotel in Siesta Key. Not quite: rooms are too small and the kitchen and bath are missing basics. Also, unlike hotels, rooms are not cleaned daily; only upon request. At $220/night, that is not acceptable. Also, staff are not customer-accommodating. The beach is also about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel, so no views or ocean sound; rather the main road nearby. Suggestion: rent a luxury condo instead on the beach. read more

Beautiful location, wonderful staff. Kudos to Emily, Becky & staff. Very quiet, few families during our stay & the ones that did were respectful of quiet hours. Very welcoming, natural plantings in courtyard, with a nice fountain feature. The staff recycles, which is awesome considering the amount of resort places that don't (unbelievable but true!) The rooms are clean, spacious & well appointed. Kitchens with full fridge, dishwasher, burners & stove, & countertop for prep. Our room had a small glass table, 4 chairs for dining. Small table with 2 chairs outside our door for little dining al fresco. More patio seats in courtyard as well. AC worked great, ceiling fan when AC wasn't needed. Bathroom with great tropical scented toiletries. We look forward to our next stay! read more

Bungalow style hotel with a quiet, cozy courtyard. The rooms are probably each different, but mine was similar to a studio with full kitchen & even a dishwasher. Standup shower only. Washer and drier available to guests at certain times. Shared beach chairs, umbrellas, etc... available and towels for beach are a nice size and feel. I really didn't spend much time at the pool, but there is a pool right across the road. This location is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and mid-sized grocery shop. However, the more lively downtown area requires a drive. This area immerses you into the amazing Sarasota culture with beach yoga, drum circles, and more. I stayed here in early December so there were holiday lights, holiday lights boat parade, and parade on the street as well. This is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to, there are birds swooping into the water and schools of fish swimming about, mounds of colorful shells accumulating at low tide, and the softest white sand. I normally wouldn't give a full 5 star to a hotel that isn't all-inclusive, but this isn't your average vacation spot. I loved spending my 25th birthday here and I would definitely return and highly recommend this place to anyone, anywhere. read more

Skip this place. Clean, but dark and depressing room. Its not really a hotel but a set of efficiency apartments. Not even a vending machine on site with cold water. No one would even ask to call you a taxi. And when I asked to check out at 11:30 a.m. instead of 11:00a.m. was told that I couldn't, even though it was a pretty hot day. I had to stand outside with four bags in the heat. Terrible customer service. I would not recommend it. Also, pretty far from stores other than a 7-11, a drug store, and some shabby little shops that seemed hardly ever open. There was a tacky, French restaurant in a strip mall down the road with salty food and very pricey for what you got. read more

My fiancé and I booked this resort over a year before our wedding. When I called this resort to finalize our booking and pay any fees needed I spoke to the new owner elaine. She told me she saw that the room was blacked out for that date however we had to stay 2 nights. When I originally chose this resort and spoke to the previous owner she was very clear on understanding we only needed 1 night and was fine with that. Elaine told me that this information was never mentioned to her and they couldn't honor that. After going back and forth for awhile I asked her why this was such a big deal, we were booking all her rooms which is guaranteed business. Her response was "we fully book on the weekends anyway". I was in shock at how disgusting a new owner could be to a customer that was hosting a wedding at their resort and we have stayed there over 5 times in the past few years. She called me back later to tell me that the room actually was booked for someone else anyways and they had already paid the deposit. Needless to say, if you are going to have a wedding in siesta key and want a resort to stay at do not do business with this place! The new owner is a money hungry snob and her staff are incompetent to make a reservation. I attached an email between myself and her staff stating the room was held for us that she claims was a mistake. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

This was a perfect romantic quiet getaway. I would honeymoon here it was so lovely. Modern furniture, super clean, Emily at the front desk was pleasant and helpful, walking distance to the beach and the other guests were quiet as mice even though all the rooms were booked (its a small hotel so that was probably only 7 other rooms). There's a pool that all the hotels use which was nice. Very visually appealing with landscaping in the courtyard and brand new grills and patio furniture outside the door. In the room they had a stove, pots and pans, dishes, fridge, microwave, coffee, etc. I liked that they gave you a list of things you could rent and charge to the room - boogey board, chairs, boat, kayak, etc. The prices were reasonable too. This hotel shares a street called Sarasea with probably 6 or 7 other hotels. It's like the fourth hotel from the beach and reasonably priced for what you get. The two right on the beach probably cost too much and were very crowded and the 2 next to us seemed not as nice visually. The cool part is that even though we had a 1 bedroom (called the Palmetto room), you could easily have a friend sleep on the loveseat/couch if you wanted to split the cost. Only downside was check in was late at 3 pm and checkout was at 11 am. Other downside was no dogs allowed. We will be back!! read more

My fiance and I travel quite a bit for weekend beach stays and have been looking for that one place we can come to time and time again... and it's definitely safe to say we found exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in a Villa(105) and it was super clean and smelled fresh. The air worked as did all of the appliances. The bathroom was stocked with all normal hotel amenities(soap, shampoo, lotion, and I believe the brand was Tommy Bahama) and even a few extras. I found the bed to be very comfortable as well. The villa had a pull out couch and if we had anyone else staying with us, we would have had plenty of pillows and blankets. Extra blankets and pillows in the closet, even extra tea and coffee in the kitchenette. It is so nice not to have to ask for things. It was nicely decorated too! I've always hated those tacky "beach" themed hotel comforters, but no worries, they don't exist here. The Kitchenette is also modern stocked with dishes and cookware. The Capri is situated on a round a bout type of road, with several other hotels set up similarly. The "road" you cross to get to the pool is not really a road. The only people using it are also staying at hotels. The beach is also not far at all. Just a short (2min?)walk past other hotels. I can not express how nice the staff is here. My fiance called about their pet policy, and when he got off the phone, he said the girl he spoke to had to be the nicest person alive. :) We asked for a late check out and it was available and again the guy that was there was nice, professional, knowledgeable.... all of the things you want in a front desk/office staff. It goes a long way with me, and it's one of the biggest reasons we will be back. Also, a few random things, the courtyard area has lawn furniture like couches, and tables, grills...and not park like grills, one you might buy and put on your patio. Each room has its own two seat table outside the door. The whole place had a "home away from home" feeling. Literally, my only complaint.... I wish the rooms also had wine glasses :D That's the worst thing I can say.... although the glasses they did have worked out just fine. This is a great place for everyone; Families, couples, or if you just want to get away by yourself. All in all, if you want a great place, very close to the beach, for a great price: stay here. read more

Let me start off by saying I don't know how the other places around here are but I love this place! Quiet, clean, and the staff is top notch. I love the concept of sharing left over items instead of tossing it and creating yet more waste. There is a washer an dryer on site for guests to use, they also have DVD movies for those nights you just want to stay in and chilax. They have grills outside the rooms in the patio area for any guests to use and comfortable furniture as well. It is about 300 yards from the beach where you can take a walk to every dusk and watch the sun set. Walking distance is the 7-11 and a few restaurants and bars, the local rental shop is near as well, where you can rent bikes, kayaks, or anything else your into. I highly recommend this place it's our go to place from now on in Siesta. read more
