This place reminds me of home, New Orleans. The food is delicious and well seasoned. Will definitely be back!

Updated Review ****Update**** Dined in again. Unpleasantly surprised. On my previous visit we had what I believed to be homemade tarter and cocktail sauce...today I was served pre packaged sauce in a tear packet. Also, ordered 3 piece cod, and the fish was undercooked inside the batter and very slimy. Cornmeal shrimp was extremely salty. Today was a far cry from my first visit which was exceptional. I also had a takeout order in between my first visit and this visit, in which I arrived all the way home with NO tarter or cocktail sauce when I had asked for extra. Attention to detail will keep customers coming back. Moving from a 5 star to a 2 star. I'll give this place one more shot, but will not be back if quality continues to deteriorate. We tried this place for the first time tonight and loved it. We tried a few different things since this was our first time coming. The cornmeal shrimp was excellent, very flavorful. Beer battered jumbo shrimp was good also. The butterfly shrimp were large with a perfect crisp breading. We also got an order of the cod to try, and that was very good. Nice batter. They also make their own sauces, the tarter and cocktail were both very good. They also brought out two wing dings with different sauces to try and they were excellent. We will consider ordering the chicken next time. Fast and friendly service! Definitely will be eating here again. read more

I went to the captains table on the 3rd of July. I made an online order but didn't they state they closed early, never received a confirmation but they took my credit card. Today is the 8th and I still haven't received my refund. Quite disappointed. They need to update their website when they are closing, regular scheduled time or early closing. read more

The fried jumbo shrimp were good, fries ok, hush puppies decent, wings crispy and good, red beans and rice skip it not so good, Mac and cheese a straight salt bomb...no good! So I would suggest stick with the fried seafood and wings, skip the sides! read more

Got delivery last night - equal pluses and minuses across the board. Fries, hush puppies and corn on the cob came out great. Butterfly shrimp left something to be desired, the 'captains garlic' sauce had an unexpected sweetness which I wasn't a fan of, and the mac n cheese had a definite velveeta/cafeteria vibe that isn't my cup of tea (though it is for others.) The big faux pas imo was that the cherry coke I ordered arrived both warm and flat which, in the world of complexity in order, ranks the bottom of the barrel and therefore the least excusable. read more

Fast delivery, and the food is AMAZING. I had tried the Orange Roughy a couple of years back and loved it. Tonight I had spicy popcorn chicken, Mac & cheese, Cole slaw, hush puppies, and my roommate had the crispy chicken salad. Words cannot express how delicious everything tasted! So first off, why doesn't your flyer say that you have to order online in order to place a delivery, an when I call your store you ask "pick up or delivery" like your about to take my delivery order but then tell me you cant... Moving on what kind of fish and chicken place doesn't make there own tartar sauce...I know I am not the only person saying this... also who uses 3 tiny little packets for 5 big pieces of fish. Over all food is decent at best and sounds like you have a very poor owner who doesn't understand advertising or much at all.... why is there a 3D imaging of your restaurant on your website, what a waste of money....you should use that money to make homemade tartar sauce so your fish actually tastes better since you dont know how to take the skin off your walleye!!! This place usually has really good food, but we were really disappointed with our most recent order. The shrimp and hush puppies were great, but the fried chicken was just awful. The wings were very dark and crunchy on the outside and black on the inside. Clearly this was not freshly fried chicken. I called to make them aware of the situation only to be rebutted by the staff who argued that the chicken was "fresh". He went on to explain that they cook all of their chicken for the day at 12pm, refrigerate it, and then reheat it as the day goes on. I made this call at 6:40pm! Anyone who cooks chicken knows that refrying chicken does not qualify as "fresh", which in turn will leave the chicken looking dark and crunchy/hard. The manager tried to say that the chickens poor quality was the result of me being 10 minutes late picking up my order but did offer to replace the chicken. Unfortunately, this chicken appears to have come from the same batch and was just as bad. read more

I had the chicken tenders with fries, and the others in my group had the fried cod and the fried walleye. Also rice and beans. Everything was very good. You could tell that everything was not pre-breaded...it appeared to be done just before it was fried. Oh, I also had ranch dressing...which was very good...I am a bit of a ranch snob and I was happy. This review was long overdue. We decided to come here because it was late and this place was in the area and still open. We walked in and was greeted and given a free sample of their catfish. The crust was amazing the fish itself was amazing. I ordered the catfish and my wife got wings. Honestly everything about this place was good. From the mac and cheese to the spaghetti and fries. This place had spaghetti? Yes, indeed it did. Hell the kool-aid was freaking awesome. I didn't have anything to complain about honestly. Their dipping sauces we good too. My favorite are the bourbon and honey garlic. We will definitely come back here for sure. read more

Thought we would try this new place out. We received a friendly greeting at the door. The place is cutely decorated & has a cozy feel. Very clean inside which I appreciate. We were offered free samples which were really good. We ordered our carry out and after a short wait received our food. We got the whiting, catfish, whole wings & fries. Everything was delicious! Well cooked with perfect amount of seasoning. Bread nice & soft. Make sure to get the koolaid! We'll be back. read more

I loved my dinner! My kids are super picky and they ate all their food and asked for seconds. The fish was fried PERFECTLY, it was crisp and seasoned on the outside and still flaky and moist on the inside. The fried corn on the cob was unique side and the hushpuppies were really good. Very tasty food and good ventilation system keeps you from leaving smelling like fish. Service is hit or miss.

Well this was a very disappointing experience... I had the half lb shrimp regular batter and their fries. They only got one star because the fries were actually good ! And nowhere near burned or drenched in grease! The shrimp on the other hand was really bad-the breading was brown in color and they were super greasy. This is usually due to old deep fryer oil :( :( the towel paper they lay on the shrimp in the carry out container was dripping with brown colored oil !I was really looking fwd to this dinner after tasting a delectable tasting shrimp of my coworkers from this place a couple months ago! However you could tell the breading recipe tasted the same and would of made a world of difference had they not been fried in old oil. I know what I'm taking about because I had the pleasure of growing up in the family business which happened to be restaurants :) read more
