Located in Sheffield Lake just across from Lake Erie The Cardinal Scoop is a great place to get your ice cream cravings satisfied. A new locally owned business, the Cardinal Scoop is clean, affordable, and delicious. They serve Hershey hard and soft ice cream, have a nice selection of flavors and do a great job. There is also a popcorn machine and other snacks. I decided to get a milkshake, since they do it with hard serve you can make your own flavor, so I got a Salted Carmel Truffle Chocolate milkshake. I went in Friday night the Service from the two boys was amazing Ice cream was good employees were kind and helpful but the smell from the fryers was Absolutely horrendous needs to be fixed now would not come back unless fixed either there needs to be ventilation or they need to be gone read more

Hello anybody whose reading this, if you go to the Cardinal Scoop, I highly HIGHLY recommend reading this entire review. Me and my family of over 14 grew up in Westlake Ohio and we moved to Oklahoma and Arizona when I was in the 3rd grade. In Ohio and in the Northern states they have a wonderful flavor of ice cream called Superman Ice Cream. This is the flavor me and my family grew up on, and it holds so many memories. When we moved to Oklahoma and some to Arizona, our brother stayed. It has been over 40 years and all of us came back together and took a trip to Ohio to visit our brother and each other, but also to re- live memories from a past time. Me and a few members of our family have extremely bad Peanut and Tree nut allergies. So, anywhere we want to eat at, drink at, enjoy, we have to call ahead of time. I called the Cardinal Scoop yesterday night and spoke to a lady who was completely ignorant. I was a little annoyed but it was fine. Anyways she said that she would clean the scoop ahead of time and they were getting a new tub of Superman Ice Cream the next day and that we could come and be the first ones to get some of it. The next day I called a SECOND time just to confirm, and they said the same thing. So that day we all went in and guess what, there was no new tub there and the only one they had was the one that was half empty and the people in front of us in line got peanut butter ice cream and super man ice cream. Obviously the people in front of us getting peanut butter ice cream was not the Scoop's fault. But what was their fault, was them lying to us. There were two employees working when we went in and just like the girl working the day before, they were so RUDE!! Me and my family are devastated because we leave tomorrow now we aren't able to eat any Ice Cream. Some of you may think, "Oh they must be exaggerating" NO! THIS IS WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN OHIO SINCE WE GOT HERE! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE I AM BEGGING YOU. read more

Stopped in last Sunday for the first time. Cute, clean place with lots of options. I did feel bad for the poor girl working there by herself, but she was busting her butt to take care of everyone. I hope they are able to hire more help soon because while we didn't mind waiting 15 minutes to get our shakes, I'm afraid some people will be rude to her. She was friendly despite being the only worker, and our shakes were great!! read more

I have been there a few times. They carry Hershey's ice cream. All three times the soft serve machine was not up & running. The employees are teens & are very sweet and accommodating too. Nice atmosphere inside & out. I believe that IF this ice cream store were to get the soft serve machines running AND offer a team package; ie a number of cones for a "bulk price" if the team were to CALL AHEAD & give an ETA & head count, they would gain the business from DQ. read more

We love this small ice cream place in Sheffield Lake. This is our Sunday go to place in the winter for their Sunday Sloppy Joe special with chips and a pop. When the weather is warmer we like trying out their different flavors of ice cream. My favorite...cherry ice cream with hot fudge sauce. Yummy. Every time we go in we are greeted with a smiling face and courteous service. Very welcoming. read more
