I completely understand why they put this place as a two star review. Because I came through here and I ordered three things the entire time I was ordering, I felt extremely rushed, and the lady had a very rude attitude, and she kept talking over me as I was trying to order and she got mad that I ordered three things and I asked for a cheese on my hotdogs that I ordered, she was talking so loud over me that she must not have heard like customer service people need to learn to hide their emotions better in front of other customers just because you're having a bad day, doesn't mean we need to. Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - No fucking cheese - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Lake, Ohio

I love the Avon Lake Dairy Queen... but this is the second time in 3 weeks that the ice cream was not right and ordering took about 25 minutes. I know there is a staffing shortage, but I saw 4 employees when I finally made it up to the window. I gave the girl my card and she handed me a crunched up bag with our 2 Blizzards inside. They didn't tip them upside down like normal, I tried to ask for napkins and the girl walked away from the window. They were both melted, over flowing from their lids and my order was wrong. I ordered a Health bay Blizzard... it came chocolate, not ordered and also had a chocolate sauce and peanuts in it. I'll be taking a break from Dairy Queen. Wasted $8 tonight. read more

This place is such a temptation as it seems I'm always walking by it as I go to the lake. They are a bit slow, but given they're having Chick-Fil-A type of lines nowadays, it's expected. The only thing I never liked here was the orange creamsicle milkshake; better off doing a chocolate milkshake or a blizzard. read more

Every time I come here my blizzards are melted when handed to me. The "flip" is never done primarily because they know what they are handing you is completely liquid. I've been coming here for awhile, trying to give it another chance. But consistently every time I get a blizzard there are very minimal pieces of inclusions like cheesecake bites or cookie dough bites and it's liquid. Super disappointing. Will be driving out of my way to go to Handles in Avon. Way better ice cream and worth the drive. Don't come here as everything is rushed. read more

Chicken tenders are not worth the price! very bad. They taste like they don't change the grease very often at all. The smell of them in my car was so bad i had to ride with my car windows down. Needless to say i feed most of them to my dog. I will not be purchasing food from dairy queen again. Service was great. tenders. fries. an wierd dry toast. not good at all. This place is always busy! The girls working there are very friendly and always get my order right! Not that I order anything complicated or anything. They do have a drive-thru as well. This is one of the Grill & Chill places that serves burgers, hotdogs, salads, and sammiches too, although the sign outside doesn't indicate that. This place is less than a mile from my house, so it's convenient when I get a Blizzard craving. read more

Visited this place while we were waiting on our car across the street. Big mistake. First thing is the restaurant is extremely hot. I guess lightening hit the building so I'm not faulting them for that. But the place was very dirty. Staff who waited on us and made our ice cream were not friendly at all. One of our orders wasn't really edible. The banana split was made with a bad banana. Ice cream tasted old and bad. Both were served at a milk shake consistancy. For the price it was a major rip off. read more

One of the best treats on a warm day. We frequent this location a few times a week and the lines are always out the door and the drive thru spans the parking lot. I appreciate how they tend to hire high school kids but there is a need for an adult manager. These kids freak out under pressure and someone needs to help them. Take a deep breath and focus on consistency. Aside from bad service when busy the product is usually less than desirable. The product shouldn't lack quality just because they are busy. My recommendation to management is to focus on a "Team Lead" or "Shift Leader" to work with these kids to train them properly. It's total chaos also a number system for your orders would help immensely orders come out and you don't know if it is your order or someone else. Aside from the management the location is good! Horrible Service. So Slow. Zero Urgency. Always a line and too many frustrated kids. Ugh. There are at least 6 people working with no process. Please implement a process where people work more efficiently. read more

Took my granddaughter to this Dairy Queen.Arrived first in line at the counter waited for over five minutes for to be waited on. Cashier continue to take orders for at least another three customers before starting my order. After another 15 minutes went by she gave me my malt but not My granddaughters lunch. When I inquired where her lunch was she said "the drive-through is really busy." When we finally got the rest of our order the french fries were old, barely warm and soggy like they had been microwaved. I WORE more of my malt then I drank due to the huge slice that was in the cup. NEVER going back! read more

They are a great place for a DQ and this type of restaurant. The staff is very friendly and happily answerers questions. The line can be long and increase the wait time when whole groups show up, like a baseball team. They would have gotten another star if they had hot water in the restrooms and they kept them cleaner. read more

This is hands down the worst DQ. The staff had made me wait far too long just to take my order. To be honest it appears that there is zero adult supervision. I don't begrudge these kids for working at DQ, there are absolutely no procedures at this place. At one point my step daughter walked up to the door after walking about a mile to get there and was told they were closed. The issue is the girl rushed to the door only to close the door and lock it in her face. I refuse to give this place my money and will take my ice cream cravings elsewhere. Mitchell's isn't far up the street and the ice cream there is far superior to this place. read more

I have given this place a chance on numerous occasions. Every time I have ordered a Blizzard it has been given to me melted. Not sure how that even happens. Food order has never been correct. I will not be frequenting this establishment anymore. read more
