The staff was so warm and inviting. I enjoyed the conversations with the staff. They talk to you and treat you like they've know you forever. I was visiting from out of town and my local friend wanted to stop here to grab Christmas presents for her family. It seems it's a staple for Ohio, and that was further evidenced by the sheer amount of people coming in and out of the store carrying large bags. I was skeptical I'd like it as someone who doesn't love sweets and chocolate much. The prices, especially for the nicely wrapped gift boxes are a bit steep. A box of chocolate covered potato chips was about $27, and I couldn't help but widen my eyes a little at the tags. My friend swore it was worth it, so I patiently waited until we got out of the store to try my piece of the prize. The customer service was decent and having tap to pay is a nice addition to a store you wouldn't expect to have it. I must say, the teal and pink bags also are a cute vibe when you bring home your spoils. They have a display case of everything they offer, in case you'd like to sample the wares that way instead. While in the store, my friend grabbed a bag of "Sweet Slips". For $15, you can take home about a pound of oopsies from the chocolate making line. The ones she got happened to have crisped rice in them, and once I tried them, I finally got it. Malley's is actually extremely good chocolate. There was no sugary burn down my throat after I ate it. No need for a glass of water, no film in my mouth. It tasted very 'clean' and smooth. I am actually quite shocked how much I liked it. We went back the very next day and I got two of the crisped rice santa bars. I left them in her car on the way to the airport and got extremely upset upon realizing halfway through the security line. Very disappointed this year I received my annual strawberries and chocolate covered grapes for Valentine's Day only twobe disappointed by the size of the strawberries. The grapes were actually larger and the one strawberry I did pick had a giant stem in it. I would not recommend Anyone go to Malkeys this year. They hide their product in boxes that are pre-wrapped I do have pictures if anyone would like to see them. The anticipation and long lines were definitely not worth it this year. read more

They sell buckeyes in multiple size packs! I didn't realize how challenging it would be to buy buckeyes in Ohio. Here you can get them from a 4 pack to a half box to a full box. They also have lots of other chocolates to choose from. You can get individual pieces to different mixtures in a box. When we arrived, the employee gave us a sample of a chocolate covered pretzel. It was a big pretzel, not the small bite sized ones. She was very friendly and helpful! We will be back again on our next visit out here. read more

A family-owned business since 1935. It immediately attracted lots of different people from different generations for its high quality chocolate and wonderful ice cream. It's a great place for gifts a wonderful place for Christmas presents everybody has their different favorite of their classic chocolates. My Dad loved the toffee covered chocolate with almonds. I think one of the owners created it and it was his favorite. My grandfather love the chocolate covered cherries. My mom loved the nutmallow covered in milk chocolate. Unfortunately it was really disappointing visiting this location. First, the place was nuts, and overwhelmed with customers. They lacked the inventory of some of their most popular items. The staff were friendly and very candid that the satellite stores in the surrounding suburbs receive shipments before this location and therefore they have to wait for factory runs of the most popular items. It's shameful, as you're paying a premium price you expect items to be in stock and available. Though I am forgiving due to unforeseen demand forecasts pursuant to the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic. Parking is plentiful but half of the lot is in disrepair and in great need of resurfacing. read more

Join the CHOC Club on their website, ideally being a resident of Ohio!! I also discovered that you can also order the chocolates online, or shop at their various candy store locations in Ohio. Having some beloved relatives residing in Avon, they mailed us two boxes of these delectable candy favorites. We were gifted with Cranberry Rascals Box 14oz that are a "Tis' the season," seasonal thing. As described, the chocolates are decadent dark chocolate covering salted almonds and tart cranberries. The special-recipe has caramel and are very crunchy. Upon opening our Cranberry Rascals, they appeared to be like chocolate turtles, and they were covered in the dark chocolate. Nick's mom and I were not too fond for these; the cranberries were too sweet and didn't mash well, with the already honeyed taste. I thought the bite of the rascals were harsh and much too hard to chew. I didn't care much for it either! The second best thing we received were the Ohio Buckeyes!! These peanut butter filled butter caps were sooo soft and smooth to eat. Each cap was a creamy peanut butter filling surrounded by smooth milk chocolate. The finished peanut butter caps came in 28 pieces and holds 14.5 ounces of this beloved confection. Aside from the obvious candy goodness, Malley's has lots of drawings and an official "Choc Club," with car decal. Every month, Malley's Chocolates selects one $500 winner and several $25 Gift Certificates. We learned that your CHOC sticker has to be spotted by one of Malley's Chocolate's special representatives to win the monthly drawing. read more

What a shame. I stopped here today for some chocolate and was told by the associate that the factory only focusing on Easter products right now and they were out of the chocolate that I wanted. Display cases look like a Scooby Doo ghost town lacking regular products. This is the fifth time I have tried to go into A Malleys outlet in the last two months and was told that they do not have the chocolates that I am looking for. Please note it was two different types of chocolate on five separate occasions. I don't know how many chances this company wants to please their customers but unfortunately, they have used up all their chances with me. They have lost my business and I will not be back. Gorants chocolate in Boardman Ohio is superior in my opinion and it is worth a trip when I travel over there to visit family to stock up on some of their fine fine chocolate. I ordered online from Malleys for the first (and last) time. I used my newly issued debit card to make the purchase. Then, I got a letter informing me that Malleys had a data breach and all of my information was compromised. Therefore, I had to cancel my debit card and get a replacement card. PNC charged me $7.50 for the replacement. I asked Malleys twice (once via phone, once via email) to reimburse the $7.50. I even offered to accept $7.50 worth of chocolate. Very poor customer service from a customer service representative named Ray. I live out of state and received a Christmas gift of Malley's confections from a family member who lives in Cleveland. The gift included a 7oz bag of Malley's peanut brittle. Unfortunately compared to most high quality peanut brittle I have eaten before, this product was of poor quality. Consequently, I e-mailed Malley's customer service, raised the issue, and requested a replacement. I received a response from Ray, who was defensive and attempted to assure me the product was of high quality. He noted further that the product was out of stock and offered a refund to the sender. I then e-mailed back, indicating that since this was a gift, I was sure the sender would want it made right. I proposed sending a replacement item of equal value, but Ray issued a refund with no further offer to make the situation right. Ray put forth zero effort in this situation and couldn't care less about my satisfaction as a customer. I am sure the family member will be appalled when they learn their well intentioned holiday gift was handled with such disregard by this Cleveland family business with an allegedly good reputation. I'll be sure to recommend to the family member that they patronize another local business for their future mail order holiday gifts. read more

The first thing I saw off the highway while winding my way from the Cleveland Airport were big silos that say "Chocolate, Milk, Sugar." Who could resist a detour? Customers are welcomed with a tray of chocolates - three different types. Whoa - fresh, creamy, delicious! I meandered around the shop, savoring my peanut butter and jelly chocolate goodness, and was amazed to see so many offerings! Chocolate covered oreos, little bags of all kinds of candies, displays of chocolate fudge, boxes and boxes of dark and milk chocolate treats like coconut stacks, peanut brittle, mint and caramel chocolates, little pure chocolate foil-covered pieces, pretzels - Mind. Blown. I left with $75 dollars worth of impulse buying and had gifts for my meeting co-hosts at NASA, and plenty of goodies to put on meeting participant tables to help banish the 'after-lunch slumps'. Everyone loved them. I gave away most everything, and I had to make another trip back. Another $75 later, I arrived home with more treats and gifts for colleagues and family. Do you know what's a cruel sense of irony? Visiting this store in the middle of a day long migraine, that's what. Things that did not help me, at all: 1. The 'sweet' decor. If I wasn't dizzy to begin with, the mint green and bubble gum pink overload probably would've made me. 2. The sugary chocolatey scent which is literally everywhere. Must..escape..(not possible). On the upside for me, the store is stocked extremely well which makes for a super quick in and out. I managed to pick up some Easter goodies for family and a friend without, well.. either passing out or losing my breakfast. Fully recovered 24 hours later I finally had a chance to eat some of these chocolates (in moderation, wouldn't want another headache). Peanut butter filled chicken thing? Gawd. Far superior from any other pb filled chocolates *cough, Reeses*. This filling is creamy, almost like a Kinder Bueno ~ so much win! Went to the Malley's location on Brookpark Rd yesterday to buy some Christmas candy for others. So disappointed totally sold out at all of the stores of the Raspberry filled trees and Royals. Had plenty of the Peanut Butter and Caramel ones which apparently aren't the big sellers. If the raspberry flavors the best seller than maybe need to make more of them. Never had a problem buying in the past. Still have a week to go before Christmas. Certain I am not the only one who will be wanting to buy them. Would have ordered on Cyber Monday but having to buy $70 or more for free shipping just too expensive. Not a fan of their candy never was and its becoming way to expensive. The factory second bags are over $10, what little they have of them, and you can't even tell what's in them, a total waste. Also, you can't see inside the factory at all. What can I say other than I shall be homebound until these wee sweeties are almost absent. Lovely candies. I cannot give five stars because the one treat that I desire most is not available for individual selection. It is a red/cherry colored/flavored hard, crackly interior with chocolate enrobing. Malley's. What can I say I've been shopping for chocolates here since I was 20 years old I'm now 54. Just hearing Adele Malley on the radio made you want to run and get that delicious chocolate. She was so passionate about the chocolate and the people. I had the honor of meeting her at the Malley's in Parmatown mall. That was great. She was so nice. Unfortunately this will be my last year purchasing their chocolates. I ordered some 2.5 ounce bunnies for Easter. These were the sitting bunnies I always get well they send me another type of bunny. No biggie. So I call them spoke to Ray who was nice but said they didn't have the bunnies because marketing was supposed to take the 2.5 ounce off the website. They were nice enough to credit me but I had a houseful coming and Malley's bunnies are our family tradition. So I emailed Ray to say we haven't solved the dilemma. Not my problem marketing forgot to take chocolate off the website that they didn't have in stock. They told me to keep the ones they shipped. I didn't order these. So I called back and asked for a manager. He advised me not only did he not have the 2.5 ounce bunnies. He didn't have the 1.5 ounce, 6 oz either. Yet these pictures are still on your website during the easter season. They didn't care to do the right thing. The customer service was appalling. This was not the Malley's I grew up with. This has been my Go-To store for Christmas gifts for years. I visit a number of clients during the year, and during the holidays I tend to drop off a King's Ransom to each site, along with a 1lb chocolate box for my main contacts. It's some of the best chocolate around and is damned hard to beat for gift giving. I typically spend a fair amount, but it's well worth it. The clients relish the treats, and nothing beats good rapport. If you have a sweet tooth for fine chocolate you'll find this place hard to be beat. I travel a lot for my job, and have hit chocolate shops all over the country (in order to compare them to Malley's, of course). What I've found is that Malley's has few equals. Malley's Bordeaux has no equal, and during the holidays you can find coconut Bordeaux. Valentines day brings out the chocolate-covered strawberries, which are my wife's favorite of the dozens of different types of chocolate-covered strawberries I've bought for her over the years. Their prices are higher than what you'd pay at a Russell Stover, or Harry London, but you get what you pay for. read more

I have repeatedly contacted this company and have asked them to take my 90 year old mother off of their mailing list. All of her mail goes to my business box and their 2 foot long things are not appreciated. Mother likes to send their chocolates as gifts--I'm no longer going to take her there as I am tired of my mailbox being taken over by these oversized ads--obviously I buy client appreciation gifts elsewhere. I have been a member of the Loyalty program for many years. I always purchased my holiday and gift chocolates from Malley's. My husband brought it to work associates in England and Japan. Today we went to purchase our Easter Chocolates and was told our card had expired and since it was more than 30 days we were no longer in the system, so could not renew. Seeing our disappointment as we were never notified our card expired, the sales clerk, who was very kind, suggested we call Karen in marketing, assuring us she was very kind. We must have caught her on a bad day. She knew our loyalty card expired November 24, 2021. We purchased our Christmas chocolates using it...perhaps right before Thanksgiving. We never received any notice that our card was expiring/expired. She seemed to suggest that was not true and told us there was no way to renew our loyalty card. I will no longer purchase my chocolates from Malley's since they obviously do not value loyalty and are phasing out this program quietly, apparently hoping to totally phase this out without notifying previously loyal customers! read more

Malley's just released their new chocolate covered red delicious apples and I was eager to try them. As usual, the chocolate is incredible! I had my doubts about using this particular apple variety and I was right. The taste is too subtle and there is no "crunch". I would suggest trying Honeycrisp or Granny Smith as a replacement. Always good customer services here as well, and it's great even they offer me free samples of their candies. One small thing I don't like about Malley's, is that they're kinda overpriced, though.
