It's only a 10 minute walk to the UCLA Medical Center and its medical offices. The 1BR unit was well furnished and had all the necessities for a comfortable stay including a full kitchen, all linens, high speed internet/smart TVs, lots of closet space and secured garage parking. The building is secure with codes for lobby and apartment access. There is a community use full gym and rooftop patio. The staff was attentive and helpful whenever we needed anything. Ask for Melvin....he'll be happy to take care of you. We would definitely rent here again if there was ever another need.

During our time there, we had several uncomfortable interactions with a leasing staff member, Lupe Silva-Solis, that made us feel unwelcome in our own building. There were a few occasions where our guests were approached in common areas like the pool, Gym and questioned in a way that felt unnecessarily confrontational. On weekends especially, it seemed like my family or guests were being watched closely and asked to leave areas even when they were simply visiting us. Situations like that can be embarrassing when you're just trying to host friends or family. We also had moments where staff came to our door asking about who was visiting. While we understand that buildings have policies and security procedures, the way these interactions were handled often felt more aggressive than professional. What made the situation more difficult was that we tried raising these concerns with management and even upper management hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, the overall tone of the interactions didn't really change during the time we lived there. Lupe seems to do whatever he wants and tarnishing the image of Greystar Again, the building itself is nice and the location is great, but a big part of any living experience is feeling comfortable and respected in your own home. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and works toward creating a more welcoming environment for all residents and their guests.

Within the first unit (Unit 201), we encountered a roach infestation. Multiple roaches were seen over consecutive days, including near our food, which forced us to throw away groceries due to contamination. Despite reporting this immediately, no extermination or inspection ever took place. We were then moved to a second unit (Unit 303), where on the first night we found a bug crawling on the bed sheets along with stained sheets and towels. At that point, we could not even sleep in the bed and had to use the couch. This means we experienced pest and hygiene issues in two separate units in the same property. While management eventually acknowledged the situation, the response was slow and reactive, and the issues should never have occurred in the first place, especially for a long-term stay. Cleanliness, pest control, and communication were not handled at an acceptable standard. If you are sensitive to hygiene issues or planning an extended stay, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Every attempt led to an AI system, and despite being told that someone would contact me, nobody ever did. Several apartment listing sites advertise open houses on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Based on that information, I made the trip to the property and walked five blocks to the leasing office, only to find it locked, with nobody answering the phone or responding through the call box. The most concerning part of this experience was my interaction with Joanna. Rather than listening to my concerns, she repeatedly interrupted me and talked over me while insisting she was "trying to help." She then stated that a leasing agent had called me back. That statement was completely false. I never received a phone call, voicemail, email, or text message from any leasing agent. When I challenged that claim, instead of looking into what happened or acknowledging the possibility of a mistake, she doubled down and became even more dismissive. I then requested the contact information for her supervisor or corporate office so I could address my concerns with someone else. Joanna refused to provide it and told me that if I wanted that information, I would have to "look it up online myself." Think about that for a moment. A prospective resident who has spent days trying to schedule a tour, received no callback, found the office locked during advertised open house hours, and was then told that management contact information was not something she would provide. Instead, I was told to find it myself. The lack of communication was bad enough. Being given false information and then denied basic management contact information was completely unacceptable. Based on this experience, Joanna desperately needs additional training and coaching in customer service, communication, and how to properly handle concerns from prospective residents. More importantly, this property needs a leasing staff that actually communicates with prospects, follows up when promised, and is available during advertised office and open house hours. If this is how prospective residents are treated before they sign a lease, I would strongly encourage others to consider what customer service might look like after move-in.
