We have a two bedroom apartment in Holtsville - wall to wall carpeting with TWO dogs. I gave them a call yesterday and Ken came out a couple of hours later to give me an estimate. Ken was thorough, friendly and on-time for an inspection. Max came out today for service (next day!)- timely, professional, informative and I had SUCH an amazing experience I had to come on here and let everyone know. My carpets look AMAZING!!! They covered my tile, inspected again asking what products we've previously used (WOW!), advised HOW he was going to treat, treated the carpets, walked us through what we did, how we can be proactive, how we can keep ourselves safe going from carpet to tile (providing booties!) and it was overall just a GREAT experience from start to finish! Just used this company for grout cleaning - and was impressed with their work in my kitchen. The grout isn't perfect - that's my fault for picking white grout for a kitchen! - but it's MUCH cleaner and I am pleased with the results. I'd say it's about 90% of the way to perfectly white, which is excellent. They also gave us a huge tub of special cleaner included in the price, which is supposed to not break down the sealant and thus keep the grout looking clean for longer. I am sure I will have to have the grout cleaned again eventually - again, because the white grout in the kitchen is just a nightmare - and will definitely be calling them back! I reached out to The Carpet Cleaning guy over the weekend. I was surprised to get a call back over the weekend as well. Ken was very knowledgeable as well as honest. They came the following week to clean a wool area rug and a synthetic area rug as well as kids room carpeting. They were very friendly, clean and did an amazing job. Bookmarked them on Yelp for when I needed their services because of the great reviews and boy did they live up to their reviews. Professional, courteous, top notch equipment used, and hard working guys. I didn't just get one guy but two guys. Each worked independently and did not rush the job. They made sure every stain was removed and replaced any furniture that was moved. I only had two flights of stair runners done, that came out looking like new, but also asked while they were here to price out ceramic tile and grout cleaning. Price was fair so had them do the tiles, I thought they were clean, night and day how they came out. Looks like new tile just laid. These guys are tops in what they do and are very friendly and polite. It was easy to get an appointment and they arrived when they said they would. When he showed up at 3pm, the previous owners weren't even out yet so he came back at 5pm on a saturday! Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this company. After calling and explaining everything in great detail with the owner an appointment was made for them to come to my house and do a trial run on a small section, ensuring the pet stains would come out and that I was not wasting my money. When Max and Louis arrived I explained what was agreed upon only to be told the owner knew nothing about the stains being from a pet, there would be no trial experience and unless I agreed to have the platform and stairs done for $145 they couldn't help. It's a shame the owner cannot remember what he promised and felt it appropriate just to push a sale, thinking I would agree. I will not be giving him the business. Did such a great job cleaning my uncle's carpets and linoleum kitchen floor that had years of product build-up, that I had my carpets cleaned as well. Prompt and courteous. Competitive prices, but worth it with the finished product. Though I had already vacuumed and cleared the rooms to be cleaned, they arrived prepared to take care of that. Pretreated and removed a few stubborn stains that I have been unsuccessful with. My carpets look brand new. The best part, this company clearly cares and treats your carpet like it is their own. The technicians wore protective booties over their shoes and gave booties for me and my family to wear while the carpet finishes drying. I wish I had more than two thumbs up to give. The gentleman showed up on time (always a good start!) and did a very thorough job of cleaning a staircase and a living room. The carpet in this room has survived many puppy accidents over the years and even though it is fairly old it was left looking very good and smelling great (get the pet deodorizer). This review is difficult for me to write. I so badly wanted this to be a good experience because my communication beforehand with the owner over yelp setting up the appointment was excellent, friendly and prompt, and he even rescheduled with me when I had to cancel at the last minute due to an unforeseen occurrence. The problems all happened the day of my cleaning. I was told that someone would be at my house between 10am and 12pm. I did not receive a phone call that day until 12:30pm saying that they were running late. When the cleaner arrived after 1pm, he smelled STRONGLY of marijuana. He then tracked dog poop all the way through my house from the front door to the back end of the house. While he did clean it up, it resulted in additional time that I needed to take out of my day to be present for the cleaning, after already having shifted my plans over an hour. After cleaning my carpet, but being unable to get out some of the stains, he explained that I would be receiving a scotch-guard treatment as part of the plan I was paying for. He needed to be reminded twice that he needed to do the scotch-guard treatment, as he attempted to leave without having completed it. Then, as a final oversight, he told me that my carpet would be dry in 3-4 hours. This was important as I was having furniture delivered that night (about 10 hours later) so I wanted to make sure the carpet would be dry. You guessed it, it was not dry even 10 hours later so my brand new mattress had to sit and soak on the carpet and now forever smells of scotchguard. read more

It looks incredible and we were considering ripping it up but we are glad we gave this company a shot in order to get more use out of this nylon carpet (I didn't even know it was nylon until Max pointed it out).
