We made a horrible mistake trusting Steve and Tonya. We hired them to remodel our main bathroom in…read morea 2 bath house before we recently moved. They showed up after work hours every day and stayed until 8-10pm, interrupting our kids' bedtime. We let them stay but kept asking them to come earlier, which they agreed to but never did. Multiple times they texted earlier in the day that they were on their way and showed up 4+ hours later. Also left cigarette butts all over our yard and driveway. They consulted about design at first, then stopped and used cheap plastic pieces for design as they went over schedule. We made a terrible choice and paid them the full amount when they asked, because they said they needed it to complete the work. After that, they stopped responding to us about finishing, so we consulted with another contractor and found out that they had used mostly the wrong materials to build the shower and had cut pieces and covered them in caulk to make it look like they would work. They didn't just leave the job unfinished, they also left leaks in our basement, a broken vanity drawer, an unframed and unsanded door with a doorknob that didn't lock and was drilled too high on the door, and an exposed nail in the doorframe knowing that we have small children. They never brought new closet doors or a fixed shower curtain rod that we paid for. They left a mess of fast food cups and drinks in our closet and trash in the bathtub. We have to pay another contractor to fix most of the work. The only two completed items were floor and drywall, which seem to be finished correctly, but everything else was wrong. The photos show the work as they left it. We also left a review on Facebook, but they deleted it. I just hope people see this and don't make the same mistake.
