Employees are kind and store is organized. A lot of Pop-It's were on the floor in the back, which makes it difficult to browse through if you have lower back issues or neck pain. I saw two special edition Britney Spears Pop-It - one was priced $24.99 and the other $17.99 but they were identical. I ended up purchasing the $17.99 one of course. Unsure why the differences in price. The pricing is different as well compared to other stores. I noticed a Pika-Chu Pop-it I purchased for $4.99 at the Folsom location being sold for $7.99 here.

Not sure why so many bad review because this place is awesome! Went in today while in Sac and was blown away with the inventory. They have literally anything and everything cool or collectible. Sports, Clothes, Music, Video Games, Toys, Shoes, etc etc etc. The prices were super reasonable on most items we looked it. Hats were like $4.99 and half of them were brand new. Video game systems were extremely reasonable along with games. The decorations and mass amount of stuff in the store is shocking. It's shocking when you first walk in because the store is literally packed. Finally the staff were super chill and helpful. We will definitely be back to The Cave.

    My text

I call bullshit ! I went to trade in a few items with my 9 year old grandson. To our surprise , I got a text saying we had $271 store credit ! When we got to the store they were having trouble locating our trade in , so I was having my grandson select some items he had been hoping to get . When we get to the counter , I'm informed they made a "mistake" and we only had $10 in credit , they had the wrong items listed for our trade ins . I understand mistakes happen , but I asked if they could at least comp a $20 item for the huge disappointment my grandson faced . No , wouldn't do it . Not the customer service I would expect when it comes to just being decent people . Do your job right in the first place in stead of a "bait and switch". Very dissatisfied with the whole way this was handled

Not very helpful...everyone kept staring at me. Guy at front desk had glasses on and barely wanted to talk to me.

I think the best way I can describe the Cave is a pawn shop for people who like anime, comics, video games, toys and vintage clothes.

The staff is always friendly and willing to help you whenever you need it. On this particular day I arrived, and as I entered, I was welcomed in, which I appreciated. I quickly went to look for a book (Red Rising) that I had heard was a great read, and when I couldn't find it on the shelf, I went to the front door and asked the lady how it was organized and she let me know it was by theAuthor's last name. However, on the way back to the shelf, I did find it on a table on the new and hot items list. Somehow, being in a bookstore with other book lovers, you just feel a different vibe that you don't feel when you're outside of those doors. But if you're looking for a cool bookstore, I would definitely recommend coming here. You will find what you need.

My family and I frequent this place and find that the time does pass by here quite quickly...quite enjoyably. There are seating areas around where you can take a book for a spin before purchasing. There's just so much to enjoy... The place is brightly lit and well decorated. Apart from books, there's a lot more other things you can buy...vinyl records, toys, even model kits you can assemble in your spare time. And there is always the staff, friendly and knowledgeable about the store and its merchandise. The items are a little on the expensive side, but the quality is worth it. Summertime in Arden can get quite hot, but a relaxing visit to Barnes and Noble here in the Arden Fair Mall area is cool!

You can spend all day in there chatting about music and the way recording and distribution has changed over the years. Great place. If you're into punk / metal / hardcore, they have a great selection, but I've also picked up some good hip-hop, jazz, folk, and country stuff here, too. The dude that works behind the counter is super friendly, chatty, and seems to genuinely appreciate people being there. The sign even says "Friendliest Record Store." I'll be honest - as a former record store employee with a terrible attitude that kind of put me off at first. But as I've gotten older and less unruly, it was appreciated when I was able to wax nostalgic about wax with him. Good selection of 7"s, too - and if you look at their website you can virtually check what's in stop before hitting them up. Oh, and they have sales - often! - that are noted on their Instagram page. Need more shops like this. Need more people to support shops like this. I'm a fan.

I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this store today…read more I saw two Xbox games priced the same -- one with a clean case but no disc inside, and another with a disc but a damaged case. Since there was no sign indicating that discs are kept behind the counter, l reasonably assumed the disc was missing and placed it into the better case. Instead of calmly explaining their policy, the employee immediately responded in an aggressive and disrespectful way, telling me to "put that shit back." Only afterward did he explain that the discs are kept at the counter - something that should have been clearly communicated to customers in the first place. A simple explanation would have avoided the entire situation. Being spoken to like that was unnecessary, unprofessional, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What made this even more upsetting was reading another customer's review describing how staff openly discussed taking advantage of a child who unknowingly brought in a rare Galaxy 3DS XL and traded it for a regular 3DS -- which is far less valuable. Instead of informing the child of what he had, they reportedly took advantage of the situation and even bragged about it afterward.Seeing behavior like that toward a kid is honestly disturbing and unethical. After experiencing the rude treatment myself, it's hard to believe this was an isolated incident. On top of all of this, many of the games and consoles here are significantly overpriced compared to other stores. This is especially concerning for beginners or casual gamers who may not yet know typical market values. Between the aggressive customer service, lack of clear communication, unethical behavior, and high prices, this is not a store I would return to or recommend. (l've attached a screenshot of that review for reference.)

They have a huge selection of comic books, collectibles, artwork, and fun memorabilia throughout the shop. One of my favorite parts was meeting the two adorable, well-behaved pugs who were happily hanging around the store. They definitely add to the welcoming atmosphere. The walls are covered with interesting art and displays, making the entire shop feel unique and full of personality. Everywhere you look there's something fun, quirky, or nostalgic to check out. And I have to give a special shoutout to the bathroom. I don't think I've ever mentioned a comic shop bathroom in a review before, but this one was awesome. The walls were hand-painted with beautiful koi fish artwork and even included information about the artist. It felt more like a little art exhibit than a restroom. As the wife who isn't really into comic books, I also appreciated that there was a comfortable, clean waiting area where I could relax while my husband browsed. That's a small detail, but it made the experience much more enjoyable for me. Between the friendly owner, the adorable pugs, the creative artwork, the welcoming atmosphere, and the massive selection of comics and collectibles, this place is a gem. Whether you're a serious collector, a casual fan, or just tagging along with one, it's absolutely worth stopping by.
