Great smoke shop for any budget!

Nothing wrong with the store, however the Magnum Big Bottle Detox Beveverage, a marijuana detox mask, that they recommended I purchased did NOT works. I've purchased it twice now and both times the urine analysis both were dirty. The salesman claimed that no one that has purchased it has had a dirty test, but obviously not. Again, nothing wrong with the store itself, but DO NOT purchase the Magnum Big Bottle Detox Beverage. ESPECIALLY for $50 when it's $20 on amazon. read more

the cave is badass. I'm a medical toker and I know my glass, and this place is great. Good prices on some items, san mateo style overpricing on others, but you can't hate the cave it is pretty much the best head shop deals on the peninsula. The people here are great and very helpful. It's a good place to get any number of random little things you might want around the house. My only knock is that if you call them, they won't give you a price over the phone. This is really self-defeating in addition to slightly annoying, since all it means is that they're taking themselves out of the running for your business. Their prices aren't horrible, so why are they so scared to compete by telling you the price as marked on an item in the store? One definite plus is that these guys like to "throw in" extras you might be seeking if you make a purchase, as a way of thanking you. read more

I stopped by The Cave yesterday to pick up some hookah and they have a wide selection of flavors. We got the tropical mango and it was great. I would have given them 5 stars but the guy who worked there highly recommended the white peach flavor only to find out that they were out of it...fail. Other than that, I'm a fan. read more

Awesome place. I don't usually write reviews but I have to for The Cave. I first went to Puff Puff Pass in SF looking for a 2011BC stemline tube and they referred me here, their other store. This place has a huge selection of glass- Sovereignty, Toro, 4.0 etc. The guys there are super knowledgeable and were so helpful bringing me out of bunch of tubes to compare with the BC. They ended up giving me a good deal and threw in a case, pick, t-shirt and some other goodies. Will definitely visit again in the future. read more

I have gone many times to this fine establishment and I must say that every time I've been there I have received help and knowledge about just about damn near anything and everything. From handheld glass pieces, to vaporizers and especially water pipe. Now let me say this and I'll try not to say it again. There is no other smoke shop in the San Francisco Peninsula that you can find where the employees are always kind, helpful and if you ask a question you will surely get the answer you need not want. Now we get to talk about Keith. Keith is the man when it comes to the cave. He mixes knowledge and fact with experience and anecdotes. He has wisdom that whenever I ask him about something I'm looking for and he set me up with what will get me the most bang for my buck. Oh and shoutout to the guy who sold me my bong. Cool place. Chill people. Most of everything is gotten pretty expensive here because all glass blowers now make IG's and decide to saturate the prices of their glass when you can get something just as good for a quarter of the price at most ther smoke shops. That goes without saying they have a lot of high quality stuff there too that deceives the pricing it has however if I want a basic ass quartz nail, I don't want to pay $200 for it.... hard to do at the cave... read more

I have been coming here for years and been totally satisfied with all my purchases. They have new glass and local artists that sell their glass here. I purchased so many products here. I wish they had a customer rewards program because they definitely take handful of my money. It would be nice if they offered more sales on local artist work too. read more

There's absolutely nothing to dislike about this place. The location is convenient, there's free parking, they have a huge selection and the staff is great. I appreciated the staff giving me a chance to browse a bit but making sure they could help me at any time. The salesperson I saw was friendly and easy to talk to. She made some good recommendations and got me on my way. I'm sure I'll be back when it's time to upgrade/replace. A great experience! read more

The staff here is great and the products--well if you can't find what you're looking it probably doesn't exist. They have a beautiful selection of art glass so give yourself time to browse. I keep going back just to add to my gear. No need to buy online anywhere else--their website works well and they give you the option to buy it and pick it up at the store. read more

This Place is amazing! Outstanding collections of mountains and mountains of glassware! I had the great privilege on befriending one of the shop employees (Blake) and his customer service is on a totally different level! Blake knows his stuff and he does educate everyone on all the product; and I do mean all the product! He knows where everything is and even the stuff that is in back stock lol! He turned me onto this amazing glass artist by the name of SALT and his pieces are masterpieces! Came here after the piece I bought after writing my first review was in an accident :( I got almost 6 years with an amazing unique piece that was still in perfect condition (had it not fallen off a ledge). New location is now conveniently located on el camino and I believe this new location is larger. Still awesome customer service and the selection you can't beat! There are plenty of smoke shops around where I live but taking the time to go out of my way to the cave is definitely worth your while; you won't be disappointed! read more

I won a gift cert to this place from Culture Mag and got me a nice silicone mat, a silicone container and a sturdy, waterproof carry case for my nectar collector. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and they always have a selection of great pieces for everyone in every price range. A bit back-story--was looking for a very specific Vap: SilverSurfer and no shops seemed to carry it locally, except for The Cave! So, on a Friday night my wife, friend and I headed over to check out the vap as well as see what else was there. When we got there, we were totally blown away by not only the amount of items but their quality and diversity! The guy behind the counter was great with advice and service--I believe his name is Chuck. He even offered to start up the vap there in the store to ensure everything was working properly. When he gave us business cards, my friend replied "thanks, but i can't promise i won't roll it into a crutch" to which Chuck responded by tossing him a pack of crutches. IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THEN "THE CAVE"!!!!!!! I've purchased several products and have always had a good experience. Just last week i bought an item I ended up having quite a bit of trouble. I don't live in the area so my boyfriend went back to replace it and they were fantastic. Chuck immediately took care of the issue, and more then compensated for my trouble.
