I took the CCW initial course earlier this month. I thought with the new 16 hour regulation, the course would be grueling, but the information went at a great pace. The interaction here n there required to get to the next section actually aided in keeping my focus, as my attention span isn't too great. Videos also are a great aid as some things are better shown than explained by words. Both Katie and Mike were great when it came time to the Live-Fire training/qualification. They provided a live course to rundown all the information we learned from the online course, and provided emphasis on important things to know so that it helps with retaining all the info. They were able to walk me step by step on the next steps after the course in getting not only my local ccw permit, but for out of state as well. I recommend everyone I know to The CCW School. First of all the instructors Katie and Mike are great people. They kept the classroom sessions interesting. Even re-learning things I already knew was still kept up beat. The instructors also were great at helping us understand the law as written. I really appreciated that no opinions were given when speaking on the laws. The range portion was also great. They made sure that all shooters were safe and comfortable with their firearms during the range testing. The classroom and the range locations were also very nice. The range test was completed at FT3 and was a clean and nice range with AC. The CCW School also offers help with permits for other states that offer reciprocity in 74% of the country. Lastly, is pricing and scheduling. Pricing was very competitive compared to other schools. I was very happy with the end result for my CA permit and the others. Scheduling with them was also a huge help. They had so many options available and that really helped me out because LASD only gives you 60 days to complete the training. Definitely recommend them for any beginners to firearms and to CCW applicants with more experience. read more

I took my sons down for basic handgun class and it was a lot of fun! Katie is very knowledgable and very nice, answered all of our questions. We had a 2 hour classroom lesson where we all learned some very interesting things about firearms and ammunition that is not common knowledge. We also learned how to hold a firearm, how to stand, how to aim, how to load. Then we went out to the range to put these new skills to test! Katie and her husband were so nice as they stood right next to us and encouraged us, applauded our bullseyes, and made some corrective suggestions to our stance, and aim. We got to fire Glocks, Sig Sauers, 1911's, etc. It was so much fun trying these different weapons, and learning which ones we liked best. Awesome time my family will remember forever! read more
