I came to sample the Miami spice lunch. Service was pleasant but rather slow. The views here are incredible. This is the MAIN reason to visit imo. I tried their empanadas, followed by their flounder burger. This then followed by their orange Cointreau creme brulee. The star for me was the dessert.

my birthday dinner here was a upscale and perfect restaurant for an event, for me specifically my birthday. Loved the view, food was 10/10 and the drinks unique and stronggg! thank you to the staff for being accommodating and helpful, this is now one my FAV spots.

The views were absolutely impeccable! My friend and I had this shared meal where it came with steak, red snapper and a bunch of sides and we couldn't even finish it. It was so much food and it was so good! The service was great our server was so kind given it was my birthday!

My wife and I had the RUSTY PELICAN LUNCH BOARD FOR 2. $135 - Photos to follow. Very good, but could be better. Lobster Benedict, N.Y. Strip, Fried chicken and (1) waffle, Fingerling potatoes. Plating somewhat sloppy. We also had two Classic Mojitos at $17 each. Service was good by Everett. What you see on the photos is exactly what you get. Is it worth it? You tell me. Ambiance is very relaxing, outside seating available next to the water. We're both 66 and have been coming here since 1977. Totally different experience back then. Highly recommend if in the area.

Came here for my mother-in-law's birthday, and we had a great time. We started off with some coffee and ordered the Rusty Pelican Brunch Board for Two, we got two boards for five people, and it was perfect. The food was amazing. The lobster benedict was honestly the best I've had, and the steak melted in your mouth. The fried chicken was super juicy, and the cream on the waffles was delicious. At the end, we had their café con leche lava cake with cookies and cream ice cream, and the bread pudding. I would go back just to have the bread pudding again. The view was also beautiful. We sat by the window and had ocean views, and the service was great. Overall, we had a really nice experience and would definitely come back

Perfectly Flawless Dining Experience. From the breathtaking view of Miami to the lovely decor and ambiance, this is a must do seafood restaurant when in town! Krishna took wonderful care of us, Angela made the Mojoto Experience both educational and delicious, while the quality of our food was impeccable. We shared the Hamachi Crudo ahi tuna appetizer, then Laurie had the Arroz Meloso rice and fresh seafood dish while I enjoyed the Crispy Whole Local Snapper. We finished it all off with spectacular key lime pies. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back whenever we're back in town!

For starters, we kicked things off with the Caesar salad and the burrata salad--both were generously portionsed and perfectly complemented by the complimentary jalapeño cornbread. Everything felt fresh and flavorful. Drinks were on point all around. I sipped the One in a Melon, a refreshing watermelon creation with a magical balance of sweet and tart--truly delicious. My husband loved his classic margarita without a single complaint. For the mains, I went with the lobster and shrimp risotto. It was hearty, meaty, and satisfyingly filling, with a well-balanced flavor profile. My spouse enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, perched on a bed of mashed plantains and crowned with a vibrant pineapple-mango salsa. Both dishes were excellent, and we'd happily order them again on a return visit. Overall, a fantastic dining experience--we left eager to come back and relive these flavors.

I'm a big fan of Rusty Pelican, their happy hour is one of my favorite to go too so when I heard I was going to Brunch I was very excited. Our service was okay, we had to wait a bit for a few things but other than that our server was attentive. We ordered a seafood tower for 4 which was delicious and then I ordered tacos which were fresh and tasted delicious! We were sitting outside by the water under an umbrella so we weren't getting too much sun. It was a beautiful slightly windy day outside and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! The seafood tower had sashimi and sushi rolls on the bottom level, oysters on the second level, and two lobster tails and shrimp on the very top layer of the tower. Everything was fresh and tasted so good. We asked for extra sauces and soy sauce and it took all couple times of asking but we eventually got them. The wine we order was delicious, they brought out ice buckets with water so it was chilled. We had Mer Soleil Reserve Santa Lucia Highland Chardonnay. It was light and refreshing. The fries that were a side with my tacos were delicious! I believe they were truffle fries, they were so fresh and crispy. I would definitely order it again! I look forward to planning another brunch at Rusty Pelican soon!

This restaurant has a beautiful view of the Miami S skyline. Our server was very quick and attentive! Of the three dishes, the hamachi crudo was a little sour for my liking and a bit unlike other ones i've had before. The lobster grilled cheese and burrata salad were really good

I remember this place being a lot better than it was, but I think it's just because we went at lunchtime so the selection wasn't great It was over an hour and a half to get our food, and once it came, it was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I will say the dessert was absolutely fantastic. It was a lava cake that is made with coffee and it was something that I will definitely be back for. That being said, this place is stunning for views of the beach and the Miami coast, and it has a very relaxed, elegant vibe.

Rusty Pelican is a Miami staple! Celebrating a milestone? Rusty Pelican. Friend visiting from out of town? Rusty Pelican? Good food with a great view that isn't overly hyped? Rusty Pelican! I have come here before moving to Miami and continue to come here for the last 6.5 years here. The food is solid, the cocktails are great, the staff is super friendly and sweet. One downside is the parking, it's valet but other than that it's a great spot!

First off, the view is amazing. If you go outside or sit by the window, you can see Biscayne Bay with a beautiful view of the Miami skyline. It was breathtaking. We had reservations, however since part of our party was 5 minutes late, we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We were escorted to our table and were given our menus. I needed the flashlight on my phone to read it, because I couldn't see a thing in the dark. Jalapeño cornbread was served on the table. It was okay. It came with a drop of some type of butter. I'm not sure what it was and I couldn't find anyone to ask. Another 10 minutes went by before we were able to order drinks and an appetizer. We had the fried calamari. It was tasty and fresh. As an entree, I had Arroz Melosa. This was made up of shrimp, corvina, scallops, cilantro rice, cornbread migas, garlic It was tasty, but I can't tell you anything else because it was so dark in the restaurant it was mystery bites, with an occasional spicy flavor. My husband had steak and mashed potatoes. No mystery there. He knew exactly what he had. It was delicious. The mashed potatoes were creamy and perfect. Honestly, ambiance is one thing, but darkness is another. This restaurant has 3$$$ so bring your wallet, if you can find it. Although the food was good, the poor lighting made it difficult to enjoy the experience.

We attended an event in the upstairs party room. Let's start with the view, mesmerizing!! The service was exceptional as was the food. We had chicken and salmon with mashed potato and broccolini. Cocktails were great too!

I enjoyed the show occasionally as a guilty pleasure, but I'm really not big into the whole reality TV does dining type of thing, however my hubs has had Hell's Kitchen on his must eat list for years. We never made it to the one in Vegas last year, so I thought Id treat him to lunch at this yesterday after a work event he was honored at. After yesterday's experience, I have no problem admitting I was wrong and will wholeheartedly walk that sentiment back. Hell's Kitchen impressed me, which if you've read my reviews isn't always an easy thing to do. The food flavors were all on point, service was exceptional, and the coursing time hit the mark from start to finish. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5, is hubby's main was not very hot. There were only a handful of tables at the time so that element was a bit disappointing. I opted for Miami Spice, and hubs picked the Express lunch which comes out to a better deal for what he ordered. We never had to look for a server for water, and they were really accommodating in adjusting my order (I have to have sauces on side and low salt right now because of a health issue). On to the main event, the meal! Drinks: Strawberry & Mint Spritz: This N/A bev sounded interesting on paper but neither of us super enjoyed it. It was just a little too syrupy sweet. I love that they're using N/A prosecco and apertivos though and not just putting a bunch of juice and sodas in a cup and calling it a mocktail. If we ever make it back I'd be up for trying a different one on the list or a real deal cocktail. Caesar salad: This was a generous portion with delicate parmesan crisps and large crunchy croutons. The limited amount of dressing I did use was delicious and perfectly balanced. I skipped most of the croutons as they were too salty for me, but probably perfect for the average Joe. Carrot soup: My guy enjoyed this thoroughly, and stopped short of licking the bowl. I tried it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. The presentation was lovely. Crispy Skin Salmon: This was my choice from the Miami Spice menu. It's miso marinated and served with a crispy sushi rice cake, sautéed baby bok choy, and a miso beurre blanc which they put on the side for me. I asked for the fish to be cooked well done, and they nailed that. It was perfection on the tongue and still delicate and moist in spite of being fully cooked. The skin was expertly crisp as well and really tasty. The only negative of this dish was the oil factor. Salmon is oily on its own, but this plate was dripping from the rice cake to the bok choy, and that's omitting the beurre blanc entirely. Speaking of, everything was so flavorful on its own that the dish carried itself without any extra salt or sauce. I did try the beurre blanc with a few bites though and it was nice. Petit Beef Wellington: Aside from not being hot enough, hubby overall enjoyed this. He prefers a lumpy skin on mash, but I thought the mash purée was divine. We just both wish it was hotter when it came out. Cherry Blossom Cheesecake: I haaaate that almond extract taste found in cherry cordials, and this was loaded with it from my one bite. Thankfully I didn't order this. Hubs did, and loved it! Also the plating was beautiful! Sticky Toffee Pudding: Was this the best STP I've ever had? No. Was it enjoyable? Absolutely! In hindsight, I wish hubs had gotten the 2 course express menu and split this dessert with me because it's full size and a massive overload of sugar for one person. I barely ate a quarter and ended up in a sugar coma the rest of the day. Would I still order it again? You bet your sweet ass! To wrap this up, this was a surprisingly enjoyable meal. The check still packed a punch though at $150 for two with one mocktail. Overall I do think it's a great pick for a nicer meal with upscale British and European favorites with a global inspired twist.

This is between 2 and 3 stars and let me explain. Isabela's has changed. The highlight of my stay…read moreat the JW was coming to Isabela's for their famous in house fresh made omelet station. I have stayed at many hotels that offer this service, but Isabela's is the best! Now it is gone. I am Bonvoy Platinum and breakfast is free. The buffet is offered and it really is self serve. I got my own coffee and water. The servers only clear the table when your plate is empty. No offer to refill coffee or water. The breakfast has fresh fruit and yogurt. These are solid and stable along with the sweets and breads. The cold items such as smoked salmon is delicious. Now the eggs, bacon, and other warm items are tepid and as soon as you sit down it is stone cold. The omelet station had a skillet of roasted veggies. I tried them but they were stone cold and hard. It was a sad experience. If you have to pay for breakfast, might be worth going out.

Food: focus on the omelettes. Pilar, the omelette chef, is wonderful and very nice. Best omelettes! Other offerings not the buffet were decent but not extraordinary by any measure. The coffee was very good. Service: serf service buffet with servers handling coffee and drinks. Good servers. Wellesley stood out as exceptional. Misc: Nice to go coffee station!

It's an elevated restaurant so of course it's pricey which was expected. We had the Butcher special, the meat was cooked as requested, sides were good. Drinks were mediocre for me but my partner enjoyed his. The one thing I'd say is we were charged $18 for still water. We've been to plenty of fine dining restaurants but this was absurd. They opened one bottle of water and filled both of our glasses, as well as the table beside us with that same bottle.

From the outside, it feels like you've been transported somewhere far away from Brickell. The dark wood, rich textures, plants, and overall vibe are gorgeous. Inside, it gets even better. The velvet banquettes, two-level layout, and vintage feel gave me major 1920s energy in the best way possible. There was a DJ spinning when we arrived, the bar was buzzing, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly. Lisa was our server and she was an absolute gem. Super knowledgeable, super sweet, and she made the whole experience even better. We ordered the tomahawk special for two and wow. Cooked perfectly. The drinks were strong enough to let you know they didn't forget the alcohol, and the sides were just as good. What I loved most is that it's nice without being intimidating. You can dress up if you want, but you don't have to show up looking like you're headed to the Met Gala. Great steak, great service, beautiful atmosphere, and somehow still feels like a hidden gem. I'll definitely be back whenever I want a good steak and a little escape from reality.

Been a very long time since I've dined in Key Biscayne so I was a bit nervous yet optimistic…read more Entering the restaurant I just knew this place was going to be great. With a covered outdoor patio in the front, we decided to eat inside on a hot summer night. Table for 3 in the corner as friends caught up. The decor is intimate and classy, yet comfortable enough not to feel intimidated. The service from the beginning to end was outstanding. A full explanation of the menu options as we were served bread to start and the wine chosen was Submission Chardonnay 2020. The three of us couldn't get over how savory this wine was so from the beginning we just knew was the start of a great experience. As the menu leaned of mediterranian flare, we chose the Octopus as the starter. Healthy chunks served on a bed of perfectly baked and flavored potato bites. Main course: The three of us shared the Lamb Chops, cooked medium rare and the Branzino. The perfect combination of surf and turf left us all in awe with the dynamic flavors each dish had. Portions were just perfect. Dessert - Tiramisu. How can you not. Best way to finish an excellent meal. Glad we found it and happy to return.

Have you ever walked into a restaurant and fell in love before even sitting down?…read moreNo? Then go eat dinner or lunch at Kaaya. This used to be something else, but they got new decor, a new chef and all new management. And boy does it show!!! Every single dish we ordered, was unreal. The waiter, his name was Michael (request him), knew the dishes, knew what to get, and also was honest about what he preferred- so we got to see what the staff liked as well. Because of his enthusiasm, and his friendliness, my wife and I ordered for 4 instead of the 2 that we were. The decor is cute and the wife loved it. She literally said "we should rent this out and do a cute little dinner party here" But let me tell you about the food. Just hang with me. I promise my long winded answer is worth it! We ordered: Oysters- delicious. Fresh, clean, and just perfect. The little hot sauce that came with it, I took off the plate and kept the entire time! It was like a sriracha/vinegar sauce. Ceviche- fresh, rich but zesty, the flavors were wild. I wanted another round, but had to tell myself to calm down because we ordered so much. The tiger milk, jalapeño and lime, just was the perfect mix of Miami and Thailand. Scallops- I'm going to request management to double the size of this dish, and make it an entree. These were the best Scallops I've had. They were HOT (temperature not spicy), and it felt SO nice to eat hot scallops for once. And the carrot coconut purée that they came on- fantastic. Once again I asked our server Michael to please leave the plate because I wanted to lick the purée. (Kidding but also not). Charred Octopus- top 3 octopus dishes I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, I had not a single complaint. They served with potatoes, very Spain style - which I'd skip and just eat the Octopus. Just know- it was not "charred" like a BBQ, but it had exactly the colors and flavors you'd want. Kaaya Colada- their pina colada. So good. It's a cute little drink served in a coconut- I dig it, it tasted really good and was a refreshing drink. Spicy Pacheri Lobster Pasta- I need everyone to order this. I take great pride in cooking food. But when I tell you this was the best vodka, pasta, and lobster pasta dish I've had- I'm not lying. If you order this, and don't like it- either you're allergic, don't have taste buds or are lying. This was the best pasta I've had in Miami. I wanted to kiss the chef. No fishy taste, lobster was plump, pasta was cooked Al dente, it was homemade pasta and the sauce. Oh man. I'm glad michael brought me out new bread so I can finish that sauce with the bread. It was unreal. And finally, we had tiramisu- great dessert. Great ending to the meal. No frills- delicious homemade tiramisu. All in all, the food was unreal. This was a dinner for 2, but we could not help order all these items! Fabian is the manager here, he came out to make sure everything was ok with us, and talked us through some of the dishes and what they have planned for the restaurant. Everyone here is so passionate about what they do, it makes you excited to come back! Go eat here, make a reservation, and just go tonight. This seriously is one of those spots that is going to be a regular on your list.
