I've gone here for years and years and ended up having my hip replaced, and I have to go back now to have a partial knee replacement. Dr. Roposo did an excellent job. The staff is friendly and I never really have to wait very long when my appointment time is scheduled. Today I saw Dr. Panas, he is such a extremely handsome doctor! Sorry I had to put that in there cause he is. Anyway, he went through my MRI and explained everything about my knee and the process so well that I understood 100% what he was saying. I find all the doctors there to be pretty good at their job. There's one that I will not see and that would be Dr. Bennett because of a past experience years ago. But I do highly recommend the Center For Bone And Joint Disease they take care of you and everything is like a one stop shopping type thing they do it all there. I was hit by car July 4th and Dr Panas was the on-call ortho who did a IMN procedure to my fractured tibia. Its a long nail they drive through center of bone with 4 screws holding it in place. It allowed me to be able to walk right away. Bayonet Point hospital. was a total nightmare, but is a separate story. The folks at Center for Joint and Bone is where Dr Panas calls home. I have been coming to this practice for over 8 years now first as the wife of a patient and now as a patient myself. I can't say enough about what excellent physicians/surgeons are in this practice. The staff are all right on top of things, are kind and efficient. The medical personnel are caring and assure that you have what you need. My husband and I drive over 2 hours to see Dr. Raposo. He has referred us to Dr. Mijic, Dr. Reyhar and Dr. Ngyen, and we have been very happy with them too. So far between my husband and I, we have had knee replacements, shoulder replacement, hip replacement and multiple injections and treatments. I was in the medical field for over 45 years, so I know who is good and who is just blowing smoke! After waiting for three weeks to see Dr. Reposo, I get to the Dr's office and they ask me if I brought my Xrays. When I made the appointment no one told me that I needed to bring any Xrays. I was then told that Dr. Reposo would not see me with out xrays. The xrays that were done over month ago were not the reason I wanted to see the Dr. She then told me that the Dr. Would not want to see me with out Xrays. I think that as a retired Medical Professional, I will seek out care with a more professional and caring office. Shame on you Center forBone and Joint. Went to see Dr Kardashian for carpal tunnel and duputryns contraction. Without even looking at my hand he said that there was nothing he could do. Spent all of 2 minutes with me. I requested to go back to the Center for Bone and joint disease and wish I didn't! I saw Dr Huy Nguyen and wish I didn't! He didn't want to hear anything I had to say. He would ask me a question I would answer it and elaborate but he didn't want me to elaborate because his schedule is just too busy to listen to the patients that are paying him! Now I have an appointment with a hand doctor that starts with a k I think it's Kardashian I'm not sure and I'm super skeptical about attending that visit. I don't think I will. And they're not going to rush me into surgery as they try to do before! Because that's how they make their money! They are surgeons! They want to perform surgery. They have no other solutions to offer even though there may be some out there. For the record I cried in tears on my visit with Dr Nguyen because I really thought I was going to get some help but obviously he has a different agenda for his life rather than focusing on what his patients have to say. Today was my first visit to The Center and my Dr was Dr Nguyen. My experience was all positive from Adrienne at the front desk (to the left ) who was pleasant and professional to every person I encountered to take my notes and imaging. My Dr was pleasant, professional and got things moving along to get me some relief. Yes, it does take time to get care in a practice that is so busy but my back issue didn't happen overnight so I have the time to do things right. What was a traumatic experience, in fact, the most traumatic of my life, was made easier by Dr. Raposo and his colleagues. I came in today for my follow up post surgery, and to get my sutures removed. And they also needed x-rays. The entire staff was patient super kind and understanding, especially the young lady who removed my sutures... I wish I could remember her name, but she was such a joy. I was in room nine around 3 PM today. The doctor and his assistant were efficient, great at explaining everything and were very supportive. I had planned for this to be my last visit because I live in Bradenton, but, I will definitely be following up in 30 days. The visit started a little late, however, the front staff are just as kind and supportive, the person at the new patient window deserves all sorts of praise for their kindness. When pain started to get the best of Me, I was offered a cold glass of water and was met with kind concern rather than impatience. Nothing but praise for this wonderful staff! read more

Orthopedic exam. I had an appointment to see Dr. Patrick Dermarkarian. Upon arriving, I was given a paper to fill out about my symptoms. When I taken back to exam room, I was told I needed to get an x-ray. I said I don't need an x-ray, I have MRI. A different girl came to see me and told me I needed an x-ray. I re-stated I didn't need one because I have MRI. A different girl came in and forcibly said I Am Here To Take You To X-RAY. I said no we're not. She told me if I don't get an X-ray, I can leave. So I did. First of all, I was never told it is their policy to get an xray before being allowed to see a doctor. Secondly, why would a doctor want an xray over MRI reports? It is obvious that this office is performing unnecessary xrays and billing insurance companies. By requiring everyone to get an xray, it's an automatic up charge. By strong arming a patient they are violating my Rights to Autonomy! I called Fatima to discuss this and she just wanted to put the blame on me. Horrible business practices! I will be finding a better Doctor practice! read more

First visit was made ahead of time through the nurses at my Mom's rehab center. It was made more than a week a head of time. When we arrived on the appointed day, there is a notice that our appointed doctor was not available, and that we'd be seeing one of his PA's. If this was an issue you could re-schedule. Where's the courtesy in letting your clients know ahead of time? Their time is valuable too. (This kind of thing is repeated frequently, sadly) When we were finally called back into our room - it was more than a half hour later. This is after we were a half hour early. So by now we're here an hour. Once in the room, the PA took the info from my mom, and made sure she'd get an Xray to see how the knee was healing. To his credit and the Xray tech's as well, they were both efficient and did their job without hesitation. After at least 45 minutes, without anything to read in the office, and the ONLY THING in the very cramped lobby being male oriented magazines such as Golf, NBA or industry magazines, we were finally seen by one of the Residents. She was awesome and personable and the whole reason that this office gets a 2nd star. We got our orders, got the approval to drive and to come back in 2 weeks, and while I won't be able to go back with my mom for the 2nd visit, I do hope they actually read these reviews and take into consideration how they're perceived. While I didn't have trouble with their staff, it's clear there's an issue. My issue is that they lack the courtesy of notifying their patients about delays or even if the doctor that the patients are supposed to see isn't even going to be there and leave it on the patient-who's already made the trek to the office to either deal with it or re-schedule out at another time which is not at all good for anyone. That they are slow and don't really seem to give any care to the cost in time and comfort once the patient is in their office. It shows an over all lack of concern for anything but the all mighty dollar. read more

after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, and still in line for an x-ray, and had no hopes of seeing the doctor, probably for another half hour, Therefore, if I'm lucky, a wait of 2 hours before I even see the doctor. Arrived early before my appointment as I was instructed to complete paperwork. I waited, and waited and waited some more. Watched people that came in after me be called back while I waited some more. When I did get called back the nurse taking notes on my account didn't understand my condition and what x rays needed to be done to make my physical therapy referral. FYI, the physical therapy department wouldn't let me make an appointment until I got a referral from the Joint and Bone Center, even though I've been getting physical therapy for my pelvic auto immune problem for over 10 years.... Nurse told me I needed to get an x ray on a body part that had nothing to do with my auto immune disease. I questioned them about this and they said the only way I could get a referral is to have this x ray. I made my way back to the x ray department and was told I wasn't dressed correctly. Nurse was supposed to get me a change of clothes and never did... Have the x ray and then am seen by the nurse practioner, even though I made an appointment with the doctor. She isn't sure how to label the referral to physical therapy for me for my condition. She figures it out after about 20 minutes and then I'm on my way. Arrive at the physical therapy department at a later date only to have therapist tell me she doesn't really treat pelvic issues. She only can do external treatment, not internal, which for one suffering from a pelvic disorder knows that won't fully treat the problem... She gives me some very basic stretch exercises I'm already doing and tells me to make another appointment. What annoys me the most out of this experience isn't the 150 dollars I lost between the two appointments and x ray but the fact that the receptionist at the Physical Therapy department told me they treated Pelvic Pain. If she had given me the right information to begin with I wouldn't have wasted so much time and money. read more

I went to the Lutz office and saw dr. Lindberg. Very brief exam did not explain or show me my x-rays gave options for arthritis in my hip but did not explain the details about the options just sat there and stared at me. Front office staff not very friendly and cold. Here's an update: apparently there was an issue with my prescription I called the doctor's office and she claimed that I called to request a 90-day prescription when I did tell her that I did not call it was as if she didn't believe me she was reluctant to help me and said that she would try to call later in the day and get in touch with the pharmacy and would not promise that she would get back to them she was cold rude her name was Pam she wasn't very customer-friendly Here is another update colon: I spoke to the supervisor Jenna in the Hudson office and she was very accommodating and kind read more

I went to see Dr Kardashian July of 2021. i was having pain in my right hand. After taking an X-ray which he never showed me, he said that I have a cyst on my thumb aggravated by arthritis and the only real cure would be surgery to remove the cyst. This surgery, according to the dr, is a very very difficult recovery which would result in my hand being immobile for about 8 weeks. I opted to wait to see if the cortisone shot he gave me would help. It did not. Today I took the X-ray to another hand specialist who informed that there is NO cyst at all and surgery was not the solution. Thank goodness I had the good sense to seek out another opinion. Our first impression of CBJD was not real good due to the amount of people waiting to get in. BUT I relized they do many things and have many providers the wait wasn't that long and the service was great. Dr Roposo did 4 major surgeries on our Grandaughter that was in a serious mororcycle accident if it wasnt for him she probably wouldn't walk again. Went as new patient. No parking. Practically standing room only. Packed in like sardines, back to back and arm to arm. Constantly having to move your feet so a wheelchair or walker can get through. It's like a senior citizens home, I'm 42 and I was clearly younger than anyone else there. Waited 1hr, then a lady came out and said anybody waiting for Dr. Bennett they are running 2 hours behind. I said no way, I need to reschedule. Earliest they could do was another 10 day's out. Unacceptable. Horrid. Avoid at all costs, this is one of those cattle herding places where they pack in way more patients than they can handle. read more

I don't normally do reviews, but I happened to read over this set when I was looking up the phone number and was appalled at what I was reading! I have plenty of experience with the center's doctors and staff. I had a double knee replacement done in 2013 with about 10 follow up doctor appointments and about 20 physical therapy sessions. Most recently I had shoulder injury with a half dozen doctor & XRay appointments. There were also 8 shoulder therapy sessions and a heel problem with 8 more therapy sessions. All those therapy sessions were with Linda or Jason. Each of them are top notch professionals that make you feel cared for like family and did a terrific job for me! I've recommended the center at least a half dozen times to friends. Each of them were just as satisfied as I have been. Now, I'll grant that parking at certain times can be a problem, and once (and only once in all my visits) I did have to park on the street. But really, that's nothing that they can do much more about parking at that location. But, what they have done is open yet another office down in Lutz. Together with their Spring Hill facility, they have good coverage for this region. Yes, the waiting room is often crowded but in all my visits, I've never waited more than 20 minutes to be called in to see the doctors. In fact, during my last appointment I was in to see the doctor in less than 5 minutes after I arrived. At age 73, with several chronic medical problems, I have lots of office visits to go to during the year. The center has the best record for quality staff, all of whom have been nothing but the best to me, including the ones identified in the other reviews as being rude. I assure you that by me, "never was heard a disparaging word!" I have advice for the person who refused to do therapy, then complained that the center would not do their surgery. As one who has been there already, I've learned that in their line of medicine, many times the surgery is only half the job done. Especially for my knees, their physical therapy trained me for what to do to fully recover. That full recovery took another 9 months of daily exercises after their therapy was over. To this day, both knees are fully functional and pain free. Not so for a neighbor who rented the house next to us for a year afterwards. She had the same surgery with the same doctors done 4 months before me. But she didn't do the follow up exercises. As a result, she walks like a duck (being terribly unsteady!). She fell a number of times during the year she lived by us as a result. Finally, I could go on, but I've made this too long already. I would not be surprised to see that most of the negative reviewers posting here, complain about their other doctors as well. read more

The one good thing is Dr. Raposo. Unfortunately, the staff is rude and inept. Our information was lost in their system several times or never entered at all. The Accident Claims Manager, Christina, is the worst of the worst when it comes to dealing with the public. She is condescending, rude and will not take accountability when she makes mistakes. Christina seems to be untrained in local insurance protocols. This came at a bad time because our daughter had just been hit by a truck and was in intensive care for a week. We, unfortunately, have been billed 600 dollars because of these mistakes. So if you have to go there walk your own paperwork through their system. read more

Doctors are great. The staff has no personality and just treat you like a number. If you have a legit question they are unwilling to help. I've never met some of the rudest people. Icing on the cake is the piece of work that's sitting there to check out, make another appt/turn in a script. This girl.... Doesn't acknowledge your there, thinks you can read her mind and isn't even pleasant. She acts like she hates the world. She shouldn't even be in any type of customer service. Heaven forbid you make a complaint. Either management knows their staff if horrible or they are the contributing factor. Either way I know my family has enough to deal with as far as health issues and surgeries, I don't need to deal with this centers attitude. read more

Dr. Salinisky and Rob have provided excellent care and I cannot say enough good things about them. Just wish I knew more about scar tissue and other potential problems before surgery. I agree with previous comment- Doctors are great. However the business office and their subcontractors are poor, prone to double billing errors. When I tried to reconcile account discrepancies, I was turned over to collection agencies. They employ West Pasco Radiology Associates, who do not produce reports, their billing practices are reprehensible, and if there is a billing dispute, they turn over to aggressive collection agency to ruin your credit rating, no questions asked. Note that neither Center for Bone & Joint Disease nor West Pasco Radiology Associates have a BBB rating. I would go else where. read more

I have a torn or a hole in my shoulder tendon and need surgery, I am in extreme pain. Because I won't agree to physical therapy because I can't afford it my surgery was cancelled. I think their doctors are tops but the hired help who do the dirty work there stink !! I broke a bone in my wrist and went there because my insurance which is Optimum sent me there with a referral from my PCP. I saw Dr Khardasian and he was knowledgeable one issue I had was with the first radiologist who read the first X-ray taken on the night of my fall He assured me after reading my X-ray that I had no broken bones i took my X-ray to Dr Kardashian who also assured me it was not broken and told me to keep my wrist in a brace which I purchased from them for $10.50 with Optimum paying the rest Then if it had not been for my home health nurse buddy showing alarm that my wrist looked swollen and painful and it looked broken I'd still be walking around with a broken wrist I called CBJD immediately and I got an appt when they reexrayed the wrist A PA by the name of Ron saw me and he was a very sharp guy who spotted the break in the new Xray and asked me if I wanted a cast I was already at the two week point since my injury and my poor wrist was crying for the cast . I was then sent into the cast room where two very unprofessional looking hired helpers put the cast on my wrist after taking off my brace ( which was bought and paid for by me remember?) I left in a flurry with the brace left behind with the two idiot hired helpers who put the cast on God knows what they did with the brace they removed iThey probably threw it in the trash ! No one bothered to inform me to keep my brace because I'd be needing it when the cast came off ! Today after wearing this cast four weeks, I went back to Dr khardasian again only to have my wrist xrayed again and cast removed . I was happy to hear my wrist bone had healed I was unhappy to hear they expected me to put the brace back on for six weeks more ! I had no brace because the idiot hired help who put my cast on had thrown it away of course they tell me Optimum won't pay for a second brace and it will cost me over $100 out of pocket ! I ended up leaving to go back home to search high and low for my brace ! I found the empty box but no brace so I know I never came home with it because the hired help at CBJD threw it away!!! I ended up buying another wrist brace at a medical supply store costing $25 but my mental health has been seriously compromised by this comedy of errors at CBJD! I wouldn't mind but prior to their Losing my brace , I was giving them rave reviews ! Their docs are fabulous but they need to supervise their untrained hired help a lot better because there are more untrained idiot hired hands there than professionals! read more

I believe the Doctors do a good job, but the office staff is incompetent. I was to have an injection in my back. I take blood thinners and should have been off of this medication for 5 days. The appointment for the injection was made nothing was mentioned that I should have stopped taking the medication. I show up for the appointment and was told they never received authorization from cardiologist and would have to wait another week while authorization was obtained. There was no follow up with the cardiologist to see if the authorization was returned. After calling the cardiologist if was informed it was returned the same day. When speaking to Alicia Mort and Dina Jones the blame was placed on the cardiologist rather than their own incompetence. read more
