The pizza and breadsticks were a hit across the table. I decided to try the Korean fried chicken because I was curious, and I'm never passing up a good wedge salad. Both were easily 10/10. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Thankfully, there was no wait, so we were seated immediately. We chose to sit outside since the weather was perfect. The outdoor seating was under a canopy, and the ground had this rocky/rubble vibe that gave it a cool outdoor patio feel. We grabbed a table near the TV so we could watch the basketball game. One thing I really liked was the activity table where you could color, play board games, or do trivia. They also had ping-pong, cornhole, and other cute activities for little kids, which made the atmosphere feel really fun and family-friendly. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to order, but I went with the Cobb salad. It was good, but I definitely needed extra dressing plus some salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. I'd come back for sure, but next time I'll probably try something different since the salad was just okay. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to bringing my family back to check this place out!

We lucked out with seats at the bar and got to skip the 45 minute wait for a table. The bartenders were on it with drinks, napkins, food orders, etc. The food all came out hot and with everything we asked for, so it was a perfect stop to fuel up before walking around the corner to Gainbridge.

Small, little, somewhat burnt, STEAMING HOT, not-so-buttery and not-so-cajun-ish corn on the cobs. Next we have the chicken. I would've rather grown a chicken, killed it for some wings, made a hat with its feathers and made sensory toys with its eyes The buns were probably the best part. The lettuce was cut smaller than you could ever imagine, the chicken had a good amount but tasted like it was drowned in Franks Red Hot Sauce. The tomato was a tomato This isn't all the restaurant though. The other times I visited here were AMAZING The times I sat in the big room were good because, there were TVs to save my boredom, the built in chargers were neat, and the food was just better! BRING BACK THE TVS THAT SHOW WHAT MUSIC IS PLAYING PLS Thank you for listening to me yap!

I decided to head South a…read morebit and journey my way through Beech Grove to see what I could find open on this holiday weekend. I'd long been curious about 5th Ave Grill and Bar, but for some reason I'd never stopped in. Today, I did. 5th Ave Grill and Bar is located right on the Main Street strip in Beech Grove. It's, you guessed it, a grill and bar. It's also, you guessed it, on 5th and Main Street. Beech Grove is pretty hit-and-miss when it comes to accessible businesses on Main Street. Fortunately, 5th Ave is pretty solid with a slightly slanted entryway and even a few tables for outdoor dining. Most nights of the week, they host either events or live music. On this day, they had a solid but not necessarily large crowd. As it's race day here in Indy, the Indy 500 was on most (but not all) channels. I was served fairly quickly. It always feels weird to order an iced tea in a bar, but I'm always grateful when they have it. I took some time to browse the menu. It's mostly your standard bar fare with several burgers, pizza, some handhelds, and a few other items. It's worth noting that handhelds don't come with a side - that's extra (chips or fries for $3 with the ability to upgrade the fries to a specialty for another $3). I opted for the breaded tenderloin sandwich. I added fries to it - I was pleased to see that they were steak fries. The tenderloin is definitely hand-breaded. It's a healthy size. It's what I'd call a good but not quite great sandwich. I didn't quite finish it, though that's partly because my always desired iced tea refill took a bit to actually get. The atmosphere? It's a bar. It's loud, though not unbearably so. People were being social (as is true for most bars). Accessibility was solid. I moved a chair away from a table, and it looked like most aisles were passable. I did not check out restrooms. Overall, I'd call this a very solid 4-star experience all the way. The service was solid. The food was good. The atmosphere was friendly. I enjoyed my time here and would easily return.

The atmosphere is 100% local dive bar, complete with pool tables. They have a lot of big screen TVs for sports viewing. They were even broadcasting the sound for a local sporting event. A huge plus, in my opinion. The menu consists of normal bar food items. They have chicken wings, pizza, burgers, and various sandwiches. They have daily specials. We visited on a Sunday, and the special was a tenderloin sandwich for $10.99. We ordered that, along with fried mushrooms for $8.49. Domestic beer on Sunday is $3 for 16 ounces. We had to get that as well! The mushrooms were good, but not enough of them. There were eight mushrooms in the basket, which is over a $1 a mushroom. A bit expensive in our opinion since they were not extremely large mushrooms. The tenderloin, on the other hand, was extremely large. It was OK.... I have had worse and I have had better. The men's room was ... very rough. Dirty, graffiti on the walls, a broken and overflowing urinal, a bucket of cleaning supplies including a toilet brush on the floor, and a broken soap dispenser. There was no way to wash your hands. It made me wonder about the servers. However, there was only one, and it was a female. She was serving the entire restaurant, as well as the bar. And, she was also the bartender! As a result, service was slow. There were about 20 patrons in the establishment. Going back to the bathroom, and the hand washing issue, I did not dare let my mind wonder if the cooks were male. I did, however, wonder with the toilet bowl brush present, if this was a self service bathroom with regards to cleaning. As mentioned, the service was very slow. It took about 50 minutes from the time we sat down, to ordering, to getting our food. The waitress, however, was very nice. She stated that she was new. And, we never saw more than two employees. One was our waitress, and the other was in the kitchen. Our waitress was extremely apologetic. She apologized for the slow service when she brought the menus, when she brought our drinks, when she brought our food, and when she brought the bill. We did not linger, we ate our food and left. The entire process took an hour and a half, start to finish. A positive is that when we left late at night, the place was very well lit outside.

Great food- good atmosphere and good service. Always accommodating for our 12 person lunch.read more
